I'm ashamed to say I've never played any of the Monkey Island sequels, so any reference to Curse of Monkey Island there is entirely coincidental. As you've probably figured out, the insult quest with Brooke is partially an homage to the classic sword fighting mechanic in The Secret of Monkey Island.

The name "Five of a Kind" was meant to be like a boring 80's sitcom name like "Full House." The "Five" in Five of a Kind was originally supposed to be four females plus an MC. The four females each represent one of the four elements: Mom = Earth, Sister = Fire, Aunt = Water, Cousin = Air. "Kind" is a wordplay on "Kin" or "Kinfolk," meaning family. I probably put way too much thought into a name that ultimately gets crowded out in a search engine because of other unrelated properties with the exact same name.
Sorry to hear you didn't get to play Curse, but really it was just my mind being teased with a similar kind of set of words. And I totally get what you were going for with the name, it actually adds charm.

Rather, we find him producing another game, which makes him stop the previous games, so what is the reason?

I really think the 80's/90's vibes helps a lot, the game really feels like a sitcom and that's amazing but it also reminds me of the Taboo movies, back when the porn industry wasn't scared of "blood-related" porn unlike all the step-shit we have now, I'm still glad you're on subscribestar and not on patreon, you have no idea how cool is playing a porn game without worrying about looking for a patch or set the relationships.

Of the ten characters I have, Meredith is by far the most acclaimed and I wish I fully understood why. Is it a self-fulfilling prophecy thing where she has the most content so there's more of her to enjoy? How much does her "mom" status elevate her? Like, if Meredith were just a woman who lived across the hall in an apartment complex and not MC's mother, how much would her appeal decline?
For me it's because you do a great job with the taboo. A lot of games the "mom" behaves like an immature teenager, and looks like one too.

I used a metaphor recently where I feel like I'm affixing new pieces of clay onto an ever-growing ball of clay--like Katamari Damacy. When I first started, the world was very small and the new pieces affixed were very impressive. As the world gets larger, the new pieces added seem less and less impressive by comparison and as time goes on, it doesn't APPEAR like I'm adding as much as I used to.

I think there's a temptation in indie game dev to start over, erasing the mistakes that are latent and ever-present in every game, and maybe recapture that feeling that you're adding a lot during the initial stages.

I have NO interest in making another game. I have been working ONLY on this game (in some capacity) for almost three years and I am as committed to making it better and better as the day I started.

Honestly I don't even know why myself, but that meredith story so far has hit me different than other incest games.
Unfortunately, I don't have time to play other games, so I can't really compare Meredith to milfs from other games.

One thing I wanted to do (just because this is what I like) is have a rushed 80's sitcom "working mom" with authentic "mom" dialogue:
* "Sweetie, you missed taking the trash out to the curb again! That's your responsibility!"
* "If you get hungry, we have fish sticks in the freezer. Oh! Don't forget to call Uncle Leo. How does my makeup look? Get your feet off the coffee table now. NOW!"

Remove probably.

For the rest, it seems to me partly correct, partly not, in the sense that: it is true that at the beginning any project stimulates fans of that genre more, but it is also true that you can keep the world smaller by diversifying with the characters and therefore with the stories, gradually introducing new conflicts and it seems to me that this is your intention.

To maintain and stimulate the interest of spectators/players, it is necessary to generate suspense as well as being able to maintain a cyclical and constant timing of updates that does not disappoint supporters also in terms of content in relation to the time that has passed.

This is my point of view if it can help you...

I hope you will make another game once you finish this game. That idea is only a possibility in case you decided to make another game in case 5ive of a Kind becomes more successful. This game is fantastic!

Focusing on this game at this current period of time is the ONLY important thing to meet the final product. You can extrapolate further ideas once the tasks or certain goals in each updates are done.

This game is still young and has GREAT potential to become one of the best games in F95. Looking forward to see this game evolve in each and every update.

On the raising money task, I did the Scott part and I'm trying to do the Aunt Irene part but whenever I drink the wine it just skips to midnight there's no dialogue option to talk to her about the financial situation, anyone else having this problem?

It is a risky option.

Maybe it works in the early stages of the game, when there is practically no intimate contact between them.

When mother and son begin to have sexual encounters, it is better for the mother to have a personality and relationship of being in love and sexually attracted to the young man. She almost needed to have more sex.
Comic or punitive comments towards the son would break the magic of a mother in love.

With the current relationship, mother admiring her son's abilities, solving domestic and economic problems, the game is pleasantly exciting.

adult women are all about responsibilities and men doing their share around the house. fail to do that and you'll find yourself nagged at, then soon in a small flat with no furniture, wondering how potatoes are cooked and how the washing machine works.

Newcomer to this game and I have to say this the content up till now has been really stellar. Point and click game have always been a nostalgic weak point for me (being an avid fan of the Sam and Max series) so I'm really excited what this game has to offer in the future. Good luck to you dev.(y)

Being myself a young guy in the '80, by playing at this game make me live again this great period of our generation, and a good one for everybody.
You are a genious to add all these little things inside your game.

You have to find different types of wine to bring over to her house (check the Dining Room cabinet). Different types of wine effect Irene in different ways. The (default)Rosé that she already has just makes her overly chatty so that she filibusters you until you have to go home (which is obviously useless). There might be a type of wine that makes her sleepy... or introspective... or amorous(moreso than usual).

Sam & Max Hit the Road is one of my favorite games of all time and its almost certainly influenced aspects of this game in subconscious ways from the jazzy music selection to the ever-present attempts at humor when you click on things to the satirizing of "Americana."
