I would like to recommend to take your attention to this project. Art is good. This game have exploration style gameplay, without grinding of same events! Most of games are DAZ now, and most of them are low quality - this 2d art is like a fresh air! The dev delivered 3 updates per year as i can see , this is good rate for 2d game. The drawbacks for me: fast build of sexual tension with landlady, i would like slow corruption. Pls go in more details about her sexual frustration and how her relationship to her tenant changes over time. And second one - this guy is to big and adult and looks slightly dumb besides he is a PC nerd. Milfs and bitchy sisters are paired best with (totaly legit 18 years old) boys. Last one is about personal tastes and obviously cant be changed ;)

    Pros:
    • Fantastic western-style art.
    • Takes inspiration from classic adventure games rather than visual novels, no skipping sixteen reams of text to get to the next scene.
    • No demonic possession, hypnotism or other supernatural mumbo-jumbo (well, there is a ghost. but you know what i mean).
    Cons:
    • Not a whole lot of content yet (v0.3.0.2)
    • There is such a thing as too many fourth wall breaks. When a character explains how something was done for ease of game development for the seventh time, it has ceased to be funny and just become immersion-breaking.
Five stars for exposure and great potential.

The Five of a Kind game has a great potential and is another personal favourite of mine. I'm rating current content as of v0.3.0.1 Public.

Story: 4/5 - The story itself is not too innovative, we have a geeky/nerdy MC, an annoying popular sister (not roommate), a conflicted mother (not landlady), a dodgy friend, even a ghost and most action happens in the house as of now. However, the texts are great, it has great humour, characters show strong different personalities and the 1985 setting is amazingly implemented and adds a lot to the game itself, therefore I'm scoring on the higher end 4/5. I'll ellaborate more on this 1985 setting in the Gameplay section.

Art: 4/5 - The 2D artwork is unique and there's a lot of effort put in backgrounds and objects. Characters are well drawn and consistent in different poses and scenes. Animations are solid and consist of scenes as well as the MC and NPCs moving around and performing tasks. I'm not rating the art as 5/5 as facial expressions are too static and don't reflect well different emotions. However, the eyes movement makes them feel more "alive", so maybe implementing smile, talk and other expressions in the same line as the eyes would help a lot. With more effort put towards facial expressions and emotions of the characters I'd rate 5/5.

Gameplay: 5/5 - This is the big highlight for me. The game feels like a classic graphic adventure (point and click) from the late 80s/early 90s where you're actually interacting with the surrounding environment, collecting items and resolving puzzles/situations while the MC moves around different rooms and places. I really like the amount of objects the MC can interact with, and loved the MS-DOS interface of the computer, as well as the effort put on sound effects (modem, floppy disk!). The hint system is very good and you get extra benefits/milestones when performing specific tasks. Lots of hidden Easter eggs, and I loved when the developer "himself" interacts in the game, it shows a great sense of humour.

Sexy times: 5/5 - I'm rating it as top quality since animations are very smooth and consistent, and the NSFW scenes progress though interacting with the NPC and conversation, avoiding the boring "slow, fast, cum" button approach. Female NPCs are attractive and the sexual tension escalates at the right pace.

Future potential: 5/5 - I'm sure this game is going to be a reference on its genre once more content is added to the game and I wish the developer the best of luck with this project.

    Final rating: 23/25 - 5 stars

This game reminds me of leisure suit larry and not in the good ways. It knows exactly what you want and is dead set on never delivering, despite presenting a myriad of options that SEEM like they will be fun. If we don't have a Slow tag, then we need to create one for this game.

    Version: v0.3.0 Public

    Pros -
    Good 2d art
    Pretty funny
MC isn't a straight up pervert
The Women and sex scenes are great

    Meh / Personal gripes -
No to little posing or face changes for characters during dialogue
No skip / fast forward dialogue button

    Cons -
The hint system is pretty vague for some parts and doesn't have hints for some scenes.

TLDR - Good game but it has cons need of fixing.

Great 80s style game. A lot of people are nostalgic for the 80s now and if you want nostalgia plus naughty game play then check out this game. Lots of thanks to the developer for putting this together.

Review for Five of a Kind v0.3.1.1

I got past the bugs I hit earlier, but it's also been 4 months and there's effectively no new content. Using the double-click to EXIT helps speed things up a little, but for a game where you have to keep running around and guessing what to do, it's just too slow. Then there are things like the dev admitting that a particular hint in the journal sucks, but it hasn't changed 4 months later. I'm out. Maybe I'll check it out after it gets the [Completed] tag, but I still think that chances of that are slim with only tiny amounts of content trickling in 2 or 3 times per year.

    Previous review for v0.3.0:

Renders: 4.5/5 - Very Nice artwork on the still renders during scenes. The art style is inconsistent between renders/activities, though. The renders during free-roaming are generally good except for the MC and NPCs, which have animations during free-roaming.

Animations: 2/5 - The animations during lewd scenes have distinct pieces of the body that move independently. It reminds me of the type of animation used in the "South Park" TV series where the heads, arms, legs, and body are each 2D-images that move separately from each other. This animation style is cheap and definitely not worthy of the artwork in the renders. The animations during free-roaming are OK, but definitely less important.

Story: 3/5 - Somewhat cookie-cutter incest story where dad is out of the picture, so MC has his mother, bitchy sister, slutty aunt, prude aunt, and uninhibited cousin to pursue as love interests. I'd like to give some originality points for the 1985 theme, but it's really mixing up technology well into the early 90's.

Writing: 5/5 - Excellent spelling and grammar. There's actual style, plus it has real humor, and the dialogue/narrative is appropriate for this type of game.

Gameplay: 1/5 - This is where the game falls flat on its face. The user interface is tedious with multiple clicks and mouse movement for everything, the journal/quest hint system is vague, the in-game mechanics are non-intuitive. If there is one word to describe gameplay it's "SLOW." It's slow to startup, slow to transition between the game and the event scenes, slow to navigate between rooms and map areas, and slow to get through a repeated scene. The tedious user interface just slows everything down even more. This game is literally PAINFUL to play. The purpose of a game is to get enjoyment from playing, not to piss you off.

Other thoughts: It's been six months since the last update and I literally forgot almost everything about both the story and the gaming mechanics. Then I see that there are potentially game-breaking bugs in this release. I'd really like to give this game a better rating, but every time I play, I feel like I'm stuck in rush-hour traffic. Hopefully, it gets better as time goes on, but at the current release cadence that's unlikely, I expect it to be abandoned before it's completed, or at best, a full redesign of the game's tedious user interface.

    Version 0.3.0.1

A promising erotic point&click with a retro setting. Art is very nice, human models are drawn very well and rarely fall into being creepy. The point&click style is overall well done. It balances well a point&click adventure with the straight-to-business people want in an erotic game. Puzzles are not so difficult that you can't do them without a walkthrough, but also avoid being too lame and put there just for the sake of the puzzle. The plot and characters do have their charm for being of an erotic game, and that's something I really appreciate.

The only true bad side is that the game is in a very early stage. There isn't too much content to begin with. And what content there's already has to be polished. Some art is still hastly drawn, it's obvious it's there for placeholder. Worst offender was Meredith under the shower, and also her in-game model isn't that good. And on rare occasions (but it's getting better quickly) gameplay can appear stiff, such as when the character has to walk all around the bed to sleep, or has to stand on a specifc place to watch television.

Casting aside the game itself, t's good to see a developer so interactive and polite with the community, who listens to feedback and doesn't load with false expectations. And he's doing an amazing work despite being practically alone. Wishing him the best and I hope we'll get some high quality stuff in the incoming year.

Awesome game with serious Day of the Tentacle and Curse of Monkey Island vibes. Decent art with fantastic writing (humor, sexiness, varied characters). I look forward to fleshing these characters out and, obviously, more sexy content.

Amazing game, I can't wait to see a final version! Love the art and the concept and the music.

Lots of old school cultural references and clever puzzles.

About 5-6 different scenes involving your mom, sister and a ghost (not all together... yet...)

    Keep up the good work!

Gameplay is good, I didn't encounter any bugs. The drawings are beautiful. Adult content is good but needs some improvement. More scenes will likely be added to your gallery. There is no NTR in the game, it has a soft structure. There are no extreme scenes in the game. He doesn't give everyone the opportunity to jump like a pervert.:) Thx for the game.

    Updated for
    v0.3.0.1 Public:

This is a refreshing riff on a tried and true smut game premise.
Suburban family. Young, inoffensively attractive but unsensational everyman protagonist who has a big dick. A milf mother figure (explicit in this game) and a younger sister-figure, a randy auntie and cousin, and several side sexy side characters. Mother is matronly and doting, sister is a jerk. Father figure is absent. You do nice things for Mother and Sister, and the porn conceit in the genre means the simmering horniness present in every character boils over. The mother is actually refreshingly sexually candid, which is a nice change of pace from many incest type games that has the mother go from a normal person ( that is to say, repelled by incest) to hungry for her son's dick over the course of a couple in-game weeks. Her idea of a well-adjusted son is to be dicking down every piece of tail that crosses his path, so she gets involved to steer him down that route. It's a porn game, so this seems more earnest.

The game is as advertised, a point-and-click adventure porn game. It stands out as a better example of this sub genre by its writing and its setting, which it leans into. It takes place in the late 80s, as evidenced by the era accurate technology, like the DOS computer the MC uses, and every phone being a landline.

Since this update, the movement speed has been increased (just like I asked, hurray!), but I wish there was a more obvious tip that you can double click somewhere to hurry it up. If it was indicated, I missed it. I'm an average goober though, so a little help there would be nice. Additionally, other technical things that need to be addressed: some of the quests can happen out of logical order, and skipping text would be nice (a compromise is that it could be repeated text, I hate haven't to click through a conversation I went through already if I clicked the wrong option or was experimenting with trial and error). Another must have that's generally a standard feature is being able to "fast travel" between common locations. I should be able to head back to my room whenever, because so much of the game happens there, and I end up spending too much time simply clicking through rooms to arrive. Going to the overworld map from your bedroom would be really nice too. Just small, quality-of-life conveniences would be great.

The renderings are very good and consistent (beside the MC's sleeping pose, which is rudimentary). What could improve it is more facial expressions that match what's happening. Basic ones you see in the more fully realized versions of this kind of game. Neutral, angry, surprised, flirty, and other basics would coverd a lot of bases and round things out.

The main gameplay loop is your typical point-and-click fare, which is fine, because Jorogr doesn't fall into the traps of old school adventure games. His puzzles are generally logical. Another thing that this dev did that he should get a medal for was listen to the little bit of feedback and let you know to keep clicking, just like I hoped and asked for.

For the most part, this game just needs those little quality of life refinements, quest-progression fixes, and it'd be gold. Looking forward to more content.

    The Revenant

This game has very unique features from the games you have played!
First of all, the writing is very good! The dev has some great sense of humor and if you are like me and a sucker of good writing and humor, this is your game!
The updates have enough content to keep you busy and even if it the early updates you will not be disappointed.
The progress of the story is step by step which does not make any decision seem rushed and more natural. But still this is a porn game and it shouldn't tease you with 3 years of no sex like AWA....ehem
The art style is unique and sexy characters. The characters designs are given appropriate based on their age
There is animations and good bit of dirty talking in between them animations!
The world interaction mechanism is so good! If you like some interaction option to pop up with everything you see with dad joke attached to it, you will love it!
Overall, this game is very promising and I love the fact that the dev is actively interacting with the supporters and fans. This saves us from worrying too much on the games future. But we never know what might happen and still I choose to remain hopeful!
My recommendation is: try it out!

Loads of potential. Giving 5 stars for that. Nostalgia factor and lighthearted nature help carry it far imo. It’s a little rough here and there though.

-sometimes the art is a little wonky from side profiles and such. Is overall very nice though.

-I like the tone that was struck with the music both ambient and during lewd scenes. ESPECIALLY lewd scenes :)

    -Characters have potential.

For an early release there’s a lot going for it. It’s hot, it’s got pretty decent humor, and I’ll definitely be here for future releases. Game to watch imo.

Loved everything about this game and would recommend it with the exception of one critique. I disliked how vague the quest progression hints were, I found my self revisiting every room triple checking to see if I missed something. I wish the directions/hints were more direct.

Really nice game to play, it reminds me of Leisure Suit Larry.
Sprites are great and animations too.

I found a bug after the cisors cut, it doesn't unlock the following event.

I look forward to see if it's worth pledging because it doesn't seem to have had a maj for a few month now, I hope it's not abandonned.

Will edit this review as the updates get available...for the current version I have to say this much : If this is a damn demo, I CANNOT wait to see what this game will look like in mid production. Content is plentiful, dialogue is well written and fourth wall jokes are actually funny.

This game is an excellent experience worth of your time. A intriguing and exciting point n' click gameplay that invites you to explore. Besides, you will see great Illustrations, narrative, and puzzles are just fine. Barely can wait to see what is to come through next updates and versions.

I like this game, simple quest, good art, animation, no grinding, the little puzzles here and there, items you must find, and a good story as well.

This game has everything that i like in a game, and will be keeping a eye on this one for sure.
