There's a plugin in this game that affects the walk/run. In options in the title screen to you can alternative for always dash on/off but once in game this option is not within the menu options. If you have always dash on then the shift key is going to slow you down rather than speed you up given the way this plugin works.

That said: I'm not sure how the game will translate to your xbox controller: The RPG core has been modified to also have key bindings for the A, S and D keys. (and the Mod you also have Key bindings for F, G, C and V keys). Pressing A (without shift being pressed) and Pressing Shift A do different things. So there may be an incompatibility issues for your controller setup given the shift key is used for other commands as well. If you have a list of what your Xbox controller buttons refer to on a keyboard: I could potentially modify an RPG core to make it work for you (also if you're playing the modded version or not). Though you might run out of buttons on the controller: as you'll need I believe 15 keys total for modded version or 10 keys for non-modded version.
Hi there !
Thank you for the detailed reply, I am playing the modded version.
My problem is not that I want to play with the controller, I just used it to see if you can indeed walk/run, the problem I face is that the "Shift key" on my keyboard doesn't activate the walk/run, it does nothing as if I'm not pressing anything, except in dialog, it hides it.
So I'm guessing that's a problem unique to me, is there anything I can do to fix it ? :(

Does the shift key activate a sprint animation when you are cycling?

Hmm sounds like a plugin incompatibility issue. Potential issues could be when you're unzipping/extracting the files from the zip file -> it's not translating the Japanese text for the plugins properly. I'll put it in a spoiler comment so it doesn't take up too much of the page:

But yea overall I'd say: check the plugins -> if there's any weird symbols instead of the base Japanese text -> that's probably doing it: so just make sure you unzip with a program that can unzip with Japanese detection. I'll attach a txt file version of the dashBan plugin (you'll need to change the .txt to .js) I can't attach .js files here. You can try and replace your one with that and see if it works.

Hi,
I tried everything, my file looks normal, the controls are configured the right way, it's just doesn't want to work, I even replaced the file with the one you provided and changed the extension from txt to js.
Thanks for the help, but it seems to refuse to work :(

You did try disabling the dashBan.js as well right? :s Tbh I don't really know a fix. The vanilla version (1.20) does that work for you?

If that's working but the mod is not: The only other thing it might be is I'm modding this game on RPGM MZ using an RPGM MV core (+ RPGM MV Scripts which usually there should be no issues). No-one else has reported incompatibility outside of you so far but maybe it's something to do with your windows not reading some of the scripts that's coming from the MZ aspect? :s next update I'll put an extra version deployed from RPGM MV specifically that hopefully fixes the issue. (but currently I'm half-way through updating so it's pretty bug filled). Sorry I don't have a windows specifically to test in other ways.

What did you all do to this game? I haven't played it in a while but just downloaded and it runs so damn fast it is literally unplayable.

How do I fix this?

Yes, this and dialogue boxes are going by scrazy fast like the game is running at 3x speed.
Might be some fps sync issue. I didn’t touch anything on that with the mod so it might be on your computer side. You can try disable the FPSSync plugin by going into plugins.js. And changing the fpssyncoption status to false and try again?

I didn't try the normal version, I'll do it on the weekend and let you know, Thank you very much for the time you dedicated to mod the game and also to try and solve my issue (y)

Edit : Hello Ungaa I tried the normal version and it works, I took the liberty of changing the censored pictures with the ones in your mod to at least have that haha, thank you

Was wondering when the modded version will have dynamic groping and reactions when caught by random NPCs like how flashcycling S has it. Where they chase you and start groping you and need to press spacebar multiple times to escape. Would be a cool feature.

Hmm...I could implement it. I already have a chase system in place for the N-Walk events I put in as well as an NPC watch switch for some events where the NPCs aren't removed and can find the MC during the event/interact.

From a game balance point of view:
The tricky thing with the caught/mashing buttons to escape are:
1. Does this really add enjoyable gameplay rather than having 2 options to escape or not?
2. Does it change the overall theme - I feel like getting grabbed then spamming the arrow keys/spacebar to run away makes the game a bit more (?)violent (Violent's probably not the word).
3. More art assets unless there's a mechanism to ensure no clothes worn = grope-able. But that feels a bit forced.

I could put it in for the bar walk of shame after losing to the nerd. Rather than having a fixed amount of excitement that occurs after getting groped by moving NPCs :s but I think in the open world it doesn't quite fit the theme so Idk...

I feel I cant figure out how to stay on school at night to do the night walk, and either proceed after "saving" aika
After “saving” you need to complete the S Rank race. Then after a few auto events: do leg strength exercises with Hajime (which should now be highlighted in pink). Sorry I’ll make it clearer in the next version.

I'm searching how to do it. I found out I'm stuck at the mev19, the point at the store says about the urge for the bodypaint, but after searching for hours made and event at the mountain night walk, with the boy at the park, the flyers girl, and the nose dude but can't find the others

Ah… yep I didn’t make it quite clear for that. You have to do the N-walk events. The first one being near the hidden grotto (normal wear). But then there are 3 you access wearing body paint afterwards. Cycling area upper left, park, summit. Then you can do the event via bike shop.
