Hmm yes, number goes up.
I upgraded my best beast to level 4, which triggered a plot event that got rid of them. Oh well, good thing I wasn't particularly attached to them because you can't really interact with them outside of the initial recruitment event (other than transformations which make the numbers go up).
Once your lair is full, it gives you a link to click to expand it. But you can't do that if you've already fully expanded it. So I've got no choice but to replace my most loyal followers who've been there the longest, because their numbers aren't good enough.

If anyone is interested, I've got it running smoothly on a Mac with Crossover. Unzip the fleshcult zip file. Create a bottle (the default Windows 10 64-bit bottle works fine). Enable DXVK in the Advanced Settings. Run Command. Browse to the "PLAY FLESHCULT.bat" file. Then select "Save Command as Launcher".

It appears that this program doesn't like WINE. Such a shame.
I remember the web version being enjoyable.

Also it doesn't even diplay anything without dxvk.
Maybe try a few configurations in Lutris or with WINE-Tricks if you know your way around it without a GUI.

I've just downloaded the newer version than what I'd purchased on itch.io to my Windows-PC because the version there is still 1.35 whenever I download it (why I'm really thankful, that I can download a newer version from the Game I purchased here - which also sorta says a little about the Developer maybe sadly, even though they sounded pretty nice when engaging with them on itch.io).

I haven't fiddled with it on my old PC with Linux for a while though, so I can't say. I managed to get Manjaro somehow configured to be able to play most Windows Games there.

Maybe asking them on Patreon (who follows/pays them there) or itch.io about baking a Linux-Version (which really shouldn't be a problem from most Development-Environments because Python is so easily implemented into Linux natively already), I hope they can compile one or just create a Flatpack or executable Image of the Game with all libraries and dependencies already in it (most safe for all distros, but also biggest and redundant libraries then, but oh well).

But nothings realy changed with it. The ideas great, but just didnt think the dev fond how to make the game any good. or exciting at least,

11 years actually....goddamnit lol, i remember seeing this on the "new" page of TFgames when i was still in fucking high school...

I know that feeling. I feel old when I back at The Last Sovereign, The Legend of Queen Opala and Trials in Tainted Space. Those projects are old, and at least two of them are successors or spiritual successors of even older games.

Sometimes I wonder why some of the devs even continue for a project that's going nowhere / struggling / stranding for so long.
It's not like there are so many stuff you want to do but not enough time.
And I doubt they even make enough money for the effort. Even tho some of the Ghost project does aim to extract money with almost no effort put into it (Like Cloud Meadow).

It's like they just don't want to let it go, or free money is always nice no matter how meagre it is.

I always assumed that some are genuine passion projects, like if the creator continues to create mainly because it genuinely makes them happy. Getting cash on the side for it is nice, but may not be their primary motivator.

I mean, if it's a passion project that makes the creator happy, it won't be going nowhere / struggling / stranding for 10+ years ain't it?
Imaging enduring the frustration from it for so long - unless that's what makes them happy

What may seem like struggling / going nowhere for 10 years to some might simply be a case of someone without a significant sense of urgency casually enjoying their hobby.

I don't understand what you mean. Just because someone enjoys doing something doesn't necessarily mean that they'll be good at it. And from a recreational perspective, having goals and challenges to overcome can feel very rewarding. You don't have to be good at videogames, for example, to enjoy videogames, and just because you enjoy videogames doesn't mean you have to be a sweaty tryhard at it. The same logic applies to hobbies. Like I'm tonedeaf, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying singing along with the radio. I wouldn't say no if someone offered to give me money for it, but I also certainly wouldn't want to make a career out of it.

I like this little Text-Game - even if it has only a couple of small iterations, that's alright, too.
After all: The Dev also gives a Modding-Opportunity for inclined players to add or modify content by themselves - I bought the Game on itch.io some time ago and got the free Steam-Key from the Dev, too, so I could use the very few Mods available on the Steam-Workshop...

I don't see this Dev to be a mere "malevolent entity, who only wants to 'milk' his clients off their cash" therefore.

So, I also asked why there's only Version 1.35 on itch.io and Steam but it's not updated to the newer Versions available on Patreon and it's basically "Test-Versions" there, as it sounds, so itch- and Steam might be updated with the next stable version at some point. And the version iterations on Patreon do go up in their own time (as a single dev or maybe a team of a couple peeps would be able to pull off in their Free-Time)...

I don't think it's dead - and maybe he'll even have time to at some point maybe make more backgrounds for the configuration chosen (like when you choose only males, then there's an Incubus in the Sanctuary background instead of a Succubus, for example). I think the hottest part of this Game is the sound effects, that really are quite "stimulating" in the seduction encounters, i.m.h.o. And they're not just porn-excerpts it seems that are taken over 1:1 at least, but they're edited/modified at least to increase immersion in the World there...which is pretty cool, i.m.h.o.

Are cheats not supported in this game anymore? The older fix that's posted in this thread breaks the game when you try to use it. I sort of just want to click through and see all the stuff; the actual gameplay is briefly fun but gets old pretty quick.

You will be happy to hear that it indeed just updated on steam/itch.

dwarf fortress. new horizons mod for pirates of the caribbean. hekk, even touhou started free. even more hekk, this game had very frequent updates for years up until he got a job offer that left him with no time to work on it further.
It being a passion project doesnt mean its not going anywhere xD
If anything, its usually the opposite until they burn out that passion and then forever leave it unfinished.

And before you jump on this, Dwarf Fortress had a consistent 2-4 months between updates that could range from a lot of back end stuff to decent sized content updates that add new mechanics and such, and its been like that since the very beginning. The only time it 'went nowhere' was during major code rewrites like with the recent gui/steam release.
New Horizons may seem silly because its a mod, but this simple mod quite literally overhauls the entire game (which was very unfinished) taking an age of sail game that had 8 islands and turning it into one that covers a huge chunk of lower north/central/upper south america with all the bells and whistles. When i had discovered it, it was celebrating its 13th birthday on moddb with a major update, which was towards the end of its frequent development cycle.
Touhous first few games were freeware games because the creator literally just wanted to make games to go with the music he composed, and it wasnt until the games really took off that he decided to start selling them.
