Flowframes loses metadata

audio tracks in the interpolated video lose their names.

I use Flowframes to interpolate videos so that their FPS matches my monitor's refresh rate. let's say I have Irelia_lazyp_210320_multiaudio.mp4, a video from RavenOfOld's Lazy Procrastinator archive. this file has 3 audio tracks labeled Evilaudio, Opaluva, and Volkor, which I can see in the Audio menu (in MPC-BE, for example). after I process this file with Flowframes, the output file doesn't retain this data, so I can no longer tell tracks apart.

does anyone know how to solve this? strangely, if I remux the file with mkvtoolnix and manually add a name for each track first, Flowframes does retain this data. of course, since the number of files I have to process is in the hundreds, this is not a viable solution. putting the usual ffmpeg arguments to keep metadata in Flowframes options does nothing. the obvious workaround would be to somehow transfer the metadata from the original files, but I couldn't find a way to do that without having to manually write configs for each file.

thanks in advance.

Might wanna check out REAL-Video-Enhancer, it's not paywalled and the github is MUCH more active so you're likely to get some help there. It's also just straight up better than Flowframes, more features, more recent RIFE versions, upscaling etc.

thanks, I'll check it out. I think I overlooked it earlier because it was marked as Linux-only on AlternativeTo.

nope, doesn't work whatsoever. just fails for no apparent reason. also seems to lack any built-in option to set custom quality for encoding, and to limit framerate.

Are you sure you picked the correct backend for your setup and installed the corresponding models?

And there's a whole tab for encoding settings

You can also customize the framerate with SloMo Mode enabled using the interpolation multiplier

I did what the application told me to do.

as for the settings, there's no option to set custom quality (only presets with opaque names), or to limit framerate. trying to set the former via command line field didn't do anything, and the latter just interpolates the original video at the encoding stage instead of using AI.
