Seeking FMV Games and Novels Discussion/Links/Tipps

Since some games have been listed that don't have sexual content, such as “The Isle Tide Hotel”, there are two mistery FMV games that I highly recommend, and a third that is also worthwhile:

She Sees Red

An excellent investigative plot, with choices that greatly impact the experience. It's relatively short, so it's worth replaying and seeing the different paths. Very high audiovisual quality and direction. The acting and visuals are impeccable, and the story is very good. Very surprising story development. No sexual content.

The Shapeshifting Detective

A good investigative plot, but the fun here is the exploration. The game is based on choosing spaces to explore and interrogating people in order to solve a crime. But the special detail here is that you're a detective who can change shape, and this opens up a LOT of cool gameplay options. You can choose who you want to look like when interacting with someone or exploring places, and this brings different results. The characters stand out more than the story, which serves as a backdrop for the gameplay. It's a lot of fun to replay (it doesn't matter if you've already “discovered the killer”, the game surprises you a lot in the replay). Very good acting and visuals, with sexy NSFW scenes (but no sexual content).

Late Shift

Good crime thriller, with choices that change the experience of the story a lot. Very good acting and visuals, which keep the game constantly in a mood of mystery and tension. The story is interesting (not as good as “She Sees Red”, but it's also thought-provoking and makes you want to play it over and over again to see the different outcomes, which change a lot depending on your choices). No sexual content (just some romance).

I am no Fan of Wales Interactive but all of them will come soon if you recommend them.

If you were interested in “The Complex” and “The Isle Tide Hotel”, I think you'll really enjoy “The Shapeshifting Detective”. I've played many games by Wales Interactive, but for me, this is where they've gone the furthest (bearing in mind that they definitely prefer stories with impactful choices much more than a story with weight and depth).

If you were interested in “The Complex” and “The Isle Tide Hotel”, I think you'll really enjoy “The Shapeshifting Detective”. I've played many games by Wales Interactive, but for me, this is where they've gone the furthest (bearing in mind that they definitely prefer stories with impactful choices much more than a story with weight and depth).

All i know is they make Games for the "Modern Audience" and Isle Tide Hotel was so "Modern" I could puke...strong woman wrestles 400 pound guy, white man is stupid and so on

Something small and it looks interesting, I packed the installed Files to remove the weird Installer with Password. If it doesnt work for you give me a call and i will upload the original Install. I just had the Time to run it, testing is up to you Guys.
English language in the Options. I know its borderline FMV, if you dont want those type of Games i wont include it in the Mainpost...feel free to give your opinion but i will play this one for sure.

Thank you, guys. As for HI2, its impossible to translate manually unless you have unlimited time and asian patience and I don't have either of that. Devs made almost all text in the game in form of png files, so to translate everything I need manually work in Photoshop with several thousands pictures. Also most of those pictures are tricky because they contain alpha chanel that contain opacity information that used in the game.

Luckily AI getting better and better every day. I attached example of picture that need to be translated. Try to search online AI service that:

1) Free (or we gonna start some donation compaign because I saw some service that asked 200$ per month subscribtion to do the job)

2) Can automatically detect/remove original chinese text on picture, translate it well and put translated text inside original text's position

3) Can do batch job i.e. handle multiple pictures automatically

For example there is

that I used for some pictures in HI 1, but it doesn't allow batch work and translates text via Google Translate which is not good. I tried installing their app that claimed that it can do batch job but after installation it instantly asked me to subscribe and pay before translating anything. Succubus kiss is online game, part of the game code actually runs on their servers which means a lot of work for emulating this locally. FLE is "normal" game. Guess I just had my fun with translations and as soon as it became routine especially the one that requires insane amount of time I don't wanna do it anymore. May be occasionally I will translate something from SexyClick games as I automated almost whole process and it won't require that much time.

Anyway, if you guys still wanna HI2 translation then do your part - search for the good AI service that can translate pictures as I described. If pictures translation process can be automated then it's possible to complete the game translation.
