im a few updates behind but the EX girlfriend is my favorite last I played. I almost dropped the game on my first playthrough. when they broke up in the prologue because I really like how they were portrayed as a couple. As I thought they felt like a good match for each other so when the break up happens was really sad for me, I actually had to ctrl skip to make sure she comes back into the story or else I would of dropped the game lol
Understandable. For me i didn't like them together, she didn't like his military lifestyle and was going threw some issues of her own so she decided to call it off, that's fine, she has to work on herself first after all but then he ends up leaving the military and she wants to resume the relationship with someone who is no longer the same man. I won't go on and on about this but they didn't fit together, better friends then lovers.
The dev kinda did the same thing with Kendra except he handled it better at least from a writing standpoint. Kendra basically says "i have shit going on with my dad right now so i have no time for a relationship" and again that's fine but she also said that she understands if the MC meets someone else before things calm down so there aren't any expectations.
One didn't want a relationship for herself while the other couldn't have a relationship due to another, this was the key factor in why i thought that was handled better with the latter.
