I've had some issues running local games/VNs where they'd run slow, wouldn't fast forward quickly or had choppy animation. I found a tip on forcing an executable to use your high performance GPU instead of onboard video. I was able to implement the tip on Windows 11 and saw a marked improvement in performance. Here's the steps just in case someone might want to try it:
- Open settings and navigate to System > Display > Graphics
- Under Add an app, click Browse and navigate to the game .exe
- Once added to the list click the Options button and and select High Performance, your GPU should be visible in that window
