Actually, with the new update post rolling around soon between tomorrow and the next 2 days, it's been a year since the last post that mentioned it and it being little over a year since the last progress on it.
The engine limit issue was about FOBS tho.
As for why the updates stopped; Zell was just doing the animations while someone else is the one to put them in place but didn't specify who.
Maybe it isn't Zell's project and they are merely a pixel artist/animator for it?:

Just for curiosity, do we know when did he start making games in the first place? 2020?

I know right?
I stopped trying to understand it.
But in the last post about the horror gallery they did not mention who it was but only that animation was finished and is now getting put in place.

No no, they have been making games since WAY past.
Only the remake is about a year old (going after it's first post)
I'm sure more veteran fans here can tell you more precisely when they came along.

Thanks a lot.

Rather sparse update this time around (as Zell mentions in the blog post) - though the new animation is right up my alley. From the previews there seems to a lot of content with the quests being worked on, and multiple girls teased. If some of it gets finished, next month's release will be something to look forward to.
