That wasn't my logic, but let me explain. FOBS has been showing up as a virus because of what you said: the way it extracts requires two files, and the fact that another weirdly formatted extractable is sitting inside another extractable seems suspicious, so the antivirus doesn't trust it and marks it as a virus. This has happened with every version and every version has been a false positive. If you don't want to believe me, then you're entitled to that, as I can't force you to trust me, but keep in mind there's nothing I can gain from letting you accept someone else's virus, especially on a site like this where while it's very active and somewhat risky, people are more technologically aware than most other places (which would make it a red zone for people trying to distribute malicious software). Though I can show proof on my end through screenshots that the file hasn't and isn't damaging my computer if you need it.If the antivirus says it's a virus, it means it's a virus -_- with your logic (TURN IT OFF) it's like giving the keys to your house to the first person you meet on the street.
It's very easy to throw you a Trojan or a shadow plugin that will steal your data now, everyone has their own head on their shoulders and they need to think a little, and not just eat food -_-
But I noticed a STRANGE situation, if you download one file at a time, everything is fine, but if you download 2 rar in ONE FILE, then it complains about a virus. BUT I (already in 2025) am still paranoid and wouldn't trust anyone's word.
But even if it did happen (a false alarm), it is still not normal and it is not clear what exactly caused the alarm...
Edit: Also, thank you blewdster for saying what I did in far less words-
