Forum time settings (other than the time zone)

I've been looking it up inside my profile and using the forum search, but I couldn't find anything.

Is there any option to change the forum time settings?

I can see there is one option in Preferences to change the time zone, but at the very least I need to change the time to 24 hours , I absolutely despise and can't put up with AM/PM.

In phpBB there is a field to set your time preferences, you can select if you want full day names, or in which order do you want the time and date to appear ... is there something like that here?

Thank you

currently you'd have to switch forum language from english(us) to russian(ru) or german(de), as that's what seems to govern the time format.

i think admins should be able add another english language pack in the admin panel with the only difference being the 24-hour clock being selected for it, but whether it'd be feasible depends on if it'd require continued maintenance.

you can ask about it in the feature requests forum.

I mean, it's not a bad idea, but I would imagine this being something to trigger on the backend of the site console to enable ease of administration from a time-setting perspective.

Thank you, I'll just do that, I thought about it but I wasn't sure if somewhere there was an option for it.

I'm not sure which forum engine is this, but in both phpBB and vBulletin (the earliest, most used forums) the time and date where just client-side generated, from the original records in the data base. I mean, there is probably a way to do this without having to touch the server-side.

F95 Zone uses as the main forum engine IIRC

You could probably check the XenForo forums to see if it's possible to modify this (i.e., time and date settings) on the client side without needing to change the language settings itself.

seems to touch upon this subject a bit. Might be worth reviewing further if anything.
