Is there gonna be android support?
We don't have plans to support android for the demo, but if the game gets traction and there's demand for it, we'd look into supporting it. We probably won't be able to support it until the 2nd or 3rd release at the earliest.
Do you have a list of planned features?
We aren't at the point where we can definitively promise anything, that's part of the reason for why we're going public now. We want to hear what people want to see. The central philosophy of our game design is enabling "player choice", meaning the player only has to engage with content that they want to engage with and that they can do it in the way they want to do it. With that in mind, most of our current planned features are built around trying to accommodate that. Having said that, here's some examples of some of the features we're actively exploring/developing:
- We've built our current prototype to support an open-world map, where each major character will effectively have their own quest chains and relationship progression (any chain being optional). Think multiple parallel chains with the possibility for minor branching in each one (we're still discussing how this could be done), all of which follow alongside a central main narrative/chain.
- The sprites are also being built in a way that makes it easy for us to support multiple outfits, hairstyles, body augmentations, expressions and poses. This has meant that development of our first sprite, Katara, has taken a lot of extra time. The good news is, once its done the first time, it'll be much quicker the next.
- We are also currently designing a RPG system based around Hor'nii and the abilities he can use help Aang and Zuko, alongside a mini base-building system for (maybe) each of their home regions. Both of these are still in the early stages of development and your probably won't see them introduced until the first major release.
We can't stress enough that these features aren't final and we'll be testing aspects of them in the release following the demo. We only want systems and features in the game that add to the gameplay, not act as busy work to grind for the sake of having something to do. (we hate grindy porn games).
Trap/Femboy content would be awesome. Desna doesn't have to be the only one in the Avatar/Spirit world!
You're not the only one who thinks so, one of our writers has presented a plan to make that sort of content for a couple other characters. Whilst Trap/Femboy it isn't everyone's cup of tea (including a couple other members of LTS) and won't be the central focus of the game, we still intend to include some optional content/quest chains to accommodate fetishes that are more of an acquired taste.
AFAIK, there was some trouble coming up with a title for the game. Love Bender is a great one to settle on! Much better than the previous considerations...
Yeah, those who have been following this project for awhile are probably aware there were some issues with the original working titles being used by the original founder of the group. Thankfully those issues have been addressed. L
ove Bender: A Shady Part of Me is our current working title, but we have a public poll on the discord to decide the final title. As of right now
Four Nations: A Shady Part of Me is winning, so there's a very good chance that it'll change before the Demo comes out.
So does Hor’nii have a physical body, or is he in control of their body?
That's a very astute question, and one we're a little hesitant to answer right now as the central focus of the demo is laying the foundation, both mechanically and narratively, for Hor'nii's abilities or lack there of and how he comes to be in contact with Aang.
So in the interest of not spoiling too much for the demo, 1) Sort of 2) No, not really, but in specific context, maybe. It's an annoyingly vague answer and we want to give a more definitive answer as we have one, but we want to leave some surprises for the demo release.
We will say that, whilst we are happy with Hor'nii and how he'll fit in, if the community isn't digging our approach, we're definitely open to adjusting it.
