VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Freeloading Family [v0.32] [FFCreations]

I'm really torn apart of how to grade this AVN. It has amazing characters, nice models and a nice MC (if you compare it to some other games). You get to really care for the girls, and each one of them has their own personality

However, this game basically has no story. It's just some random events of their lives, and then the game ends. I particularly did not like most of the endings (specially the sister one), which had a big impact in the grade, unfornately.

Most of the decisions you make have little impact, which, in my opinion, makes the game less enjoyable. Still, is a nice game, and I recommend it if you dont't mind the lewd scenes having no animations

⠀ All characters are vulgar sluts with no personality. The teacher and her classes are absolutely ridiculous. Game doesn't provide meaningful choices where it actually matter, and instead gives you placebo choices where you sound either like a dork or a pimp......
⠀ ....Or at least all of it would seem that way at first glance. Turns out girls have more to offer than their facade that they keep would suggest. Choices do lead to different content and outcomes. And contrary to what I initially thought, there is plenty of not half-bad romance. Standalone and harem endings are satisfying.
⠀ Though sex scenes are lacking. There are very few of them and maybe 3 or 4 are animated, the rest are static images.
⠀ Idk, I enjoyed this much more than initially anticipated, definitely a pleasant surprise.

Based on the title, I was expecting this to be some trashy sex farce (which is not at all a judgement - trashy sex farces are fun diversions) but instead found an intelligent, sensitive story about a group of people who were incredibly lucky to have found one another and make a poly-amorous relationship work. At first I thought it implausible that two half-siblings could be allowed to have a sexual relationship by their parents but then I did research at the end and found that half-sibling marriage is legal in Sweden, much to my surprise.

The characters were beautifully rendered, though I would have liked to see better and more animation in the sex scenes, but considering the game was started in 2017 I cannot really find fault. I also liked the characters themselves and how their relationships unfolded over time. I chose the Alice ending because I could not see any other making sense but will revisit them in the near future. Also, I saw people talking about "being forced to have sex with the aunt" but that never happened in my play-through, perhaps because I had too much sympathy for a lonely, grieving woman who was struggling with alcohol to take advantage.

Anyway, well done, FFCreations!

I found the music of the soundtrack haunting, only adding to the level of sensitivity.

I wanted to like this game but, unfortunately, can't. The story is just bad. Girls throw themselves at you for no reason, and yet MC doesn't really become confident on himself for a while even if you choose that path from the get-go. Choices do matter to some extent, which is great, but since characters have no interest I ended up not caring at all for anything that happened to anyone and just skipping through all dialog. Because it's not terrible dialogue, but often it wants to be witty and ends up being bland, and more often than not it's just serving the excuse for any girl to just jump on you.

Character models are great though, and reasonably varied. Animations are not that good and not that frequent. And I personally don't like a full POV game in this genre, there is too much you don't get to see, but that is a matter of personal taste so I don't count it.

So, all in all, I unfortunately think this game doesn't reach the potential it could with some better story, time to develop characters and so on. As it is, it's just worth a quick fap.

A visual novel that is actually finished?! With several endings!! What is this? Bizarro land? AND A HAREM ENDING?!?!?!?!?!!!!


The game follows the protagonist who, naturally, has a big dick, and uses said dick to fuck any women who comes along. There isn't much plot here, the game focuses more on the characters. The dialogue skates on the edge of being too drawn out, some editing could probably tighten up the script and help the game a bit.

Visually this isn't an impressive game, but it serviceable none the less. Oh and there are only a tiny number of animations compared to stills.

As for the sex, its all pretty vanilla, with a little bit of spanking, light bdsm, and squirting to lively things up, but that about it.


Overall I think its an OK game. Harem ending is great. 7/10

I wanted to like it more than I did. It's not entirely without merit. Visually the game is fine and I liked the girls - though maybe more for their vibes than because they're actually well written.

And the writing generally speaking wasn't even that bad. Spelling and grammar was all over the place but it was generally legible and I think there was the foundation of a decent narrative, but I wasn't pleased with what was built on that foundation.

I think by and large my issue is one of pacing. The first two thirds of the game were kind of meandering but I'm fine with a slow build if if it pays off and I don't feel like it did.

It kinda feels that like they got bored and rushed an ending. It would explain the increasing frequency of time skips toward the end and why the big drama kinda just disappears almost as soon as it were introduced. Ultimately I didn't outright hate the ending, I just wish that last third weren't so rushed.

Good game, despite being a little dated - first release was over 6 years ago. A few good endings, a couple disappointing. A couple endings took much longer to come out, because a writer had left, but a new one came along so it could be finished. Great story overall.

The story is fun; not very original, but with a lot of cute and fun moments. The girls are diverse and fun so it is really a good time to play. For the sex scenes, most are very vanilla and there is no animation, so one could say that's the weak point.
Also, I felt that from some point, the desire to end from the author/dev is quite perceptible, and it starts going very fast, in a way I would call "too fast" for the story itself and especially for the aunt story which seems like almost cut from all the rest of the story. Even the big "final" sex scene (for the "everyone path" doesn't include the aunt (for story reason okay but...) and nothing is really done after it to give her a time to shine in her own as the other girls did. In the epilogue, some girls get a new look for time passed, and it's good, but not used enough, and no special sexy time to conclude.

So a good journey but with a perhaps inferior ending trajectory? Hence 4 stars

plot was was thin nicknames were used on the wrong character Mel called nile at the from of the Cafe at one point. charicter points chart didnt seem to be working. did enjoy the sibling back and futher till the beach scene was boredwith it from that point. other 2 girl charciters I enjoyed but Again I dipped out from the beach scene after the firt bowling arcade date.

I think theres others vn that acomplished what Freeloading Family tries to do, that doesn't mean it's a bad VN. The LI have are well written and the dialogue is decent. The renders are good and all, but the little sister it's my least favorite of them all, not the worst, just not my coup of tee. I think my biggest problem is how the story develops, especialy the time skip, kinda breaks the flow of the story. Besides that I like the endings, a vn with a nice enough harem ending it's a win in my book.

Freeloading Family is (or at least tries to be) a pretty balanced game in terms of dialogue, romance and adult content. There is basically no plot here, it's more of a character driven game. We spend time with different girls and build relationship with them. There is enough amount of buildup and romance so relationships with the girls feels pretty believable and organic. We have 5 main girls here, every one of them have different, very distinctive personality. I would say all of them all pretty good and loveable characters. The nice thing here is that, all love interests and MC are a group of good friends. Banter between them is really good and you can feel they generally like each other. Very nice dynamic in this group. What i didn't like about the narrative was the time jumps. Only in the first half of the game we already have few time jumps and in my opinion there are completely meaningless. They add nothing to the game, after 2 month time jump literally nothing changes, we still are in the same exact spot as we were before. They technically serve some story purposes, but that mostly affects things happening offscreen and without MC input. I only did one ending; the harem one. It just makes sense to keep all your close friends together. It was ok, but nothing too crazy.

Visually unfortunately it's not good, even for 2017 standards. Back then we already have games with better looking renders and models. And sadly renders quality doesn't really get any better as the game progresses. I contend only one animation. There is just not enough sex scenes for a 10+ hours game. Two out of five main girls, excluding endings, only have like 2 or 3 scenes. That's just not enough. And the sex scenes in general are not that good, the dialogue is nice but visually game is severely lacking and thanks to that adult content is not very entertaining. All this leads to Freeloading Family being not very good fapping material. Only one music theme looped for the entire game and no sound effects. This could be better.

Freeloading Family is a pretty solid game in terms of writing, dialogues and love interests, but with quite disappointing adult content. Around 30 scenes for a 12 hours long game is not much. And visual quality is pretty bad, even for an older game. Ultimately the game is better then 3/5 but worse then 4/5.

This games has 2 things going for it. The first one is that it has one of the most beautiful LI models you'll see in the adult games (which are also accompanied by mediocre sex scenes). The second one is the story which started to take itself seriously somewhere along the way and managed to give a thoughtful harem experience rather than usual Pokemon-like sandbox approach. It is one of the rare times I played through all characters endings never losing interest and even wondered if (without spoiling details) some things happening in one ending also happened in another because they really colour your perception of relations and actions. 5/5 just for giving me the same fulfilment after I finished the game as after watching a good movie or reading a good book.

To be honest, I have a hard time rating this. There are definitely parts that I really enjoyed, but it was never anything new or special enough to hold my attention for any length of time.

I started playing this game months ago and only finished it today because I always quit after a short time and started playing something else before getting back to it, only to repeat the whole process after some time.
It was simply not interesting enough.

The characters are all ok, but nothing you haven't seen countless times in other games. The sex scenes are also only ok, they look good, but they are neither interesting nor really memorable. Not much to see if you are into more kinky stuff.
And the story is not really a story. It's slice of life in the most basic level. Again, ok, but not more.

And the ending was honestly a big disappointment. I'm not sure if I just missed a lot of options (I'm not even sure that's possible). But the ending feels like an overrushed mess, unfortunately.
I was just getting into it more, than time jump into time jump into choose your ending.

Overall ok I guess. I had some enjoyable moments, but I don't think I will ever revisit this game.

Story started pretty good and I liked the characters except for the aunt. I really believe that the game only got worse with her introduction and every time she was on scene. Why the hell would I be given the option to reject her advances multiple times just for the game to basically force me to fuck her anyway? This is some major league bullshit, for real. I actually hated every second she was on screen.

Also, the MC is straight up an imbecile a lot of the time. Ignoring calls from his father for 3 months and not text even though MC himself and Alice keep reminding him is a very strict man with a military background and expecting no consequences, not putting two and two together when his father says he should expect some company soon and encounters the front door unlocked but still act surprised when there's someone home, and not even offering condolences to the aunt when she gets there (even though I dislike her) even after Alice does.

The game also doesn't have sound effects and just keeps playing the same song on repeat from start to finish, which after playing some games with amazing sound work, just comes off as a con to me nowadays. The renders are good but the animations are lacking a lot as well.

For some reason this is one of the most memorable games on here for me.


Characters are probably the reason for that. The girls' models are gorgeous, and their personalities are wacky yet relatable. They have some depth, their own motivations, the whole shebang. So this is very much character-driven, which brings me to my next point...

Story isn't the main focus. As the title points out, you're living freely in your parents' house with just your step sister. There aren't any big goals or mysteries. You go to school, you meet people and that's it. But those people are pretty fun, and...

Graphics are so satisfying. Don't know if its the models, posing and whatnot but it just clicks for me. Check the screenshots and judge for yourself.


Recommended for anyone who's okay with reading romance-novel-like games with a bit of crazy (looking at you, Melody).

Bland and boring is all I can say about this title. The characters (except the crazy blond) and the situations that they are in are unimaginative and forgettable. The graphics are passable but nothing to write about. The sex scenes are short and uncreative. There is nothing to this title that you didn't see done someware else and done much better. As a matter of fact it's so bland that I didn't manage to finish it and dropped it at around half way point. Dont waste your time with it.

2 stars for being finished and for graphics being ok but really that's all I can say good for this title. Really it's better to try something orginal and fail then be this bland.

JESUS FUCK. I WANTED A SEXY STORY ABOUT SOME GUY FUCKING HALF THE CITY AND I GOT A LIFE LESSON.

Not one. TWENTY. I heard some stuff in the comments about the endings not being what they liked and whatnot. Trouble in development.

I don't care about any of that. This virtual novel had some EXTREMELY good romance scenes and really heartfelt sex scenes, so if you like Porn with a Plot, this is for you.

But after the wild days and the father came back, the Porn died down A LOT. But the romance? The feels? Fuuuuck me. After Ending 1 I couldn't stop crying for 2 days, and while two of the other endings felt a little shorter, I was super pleased with how the sisters ended up in their own endings. Mel? Come on. COME ON!

My personal ending is Ending 5, because the MC is a saint of a lover and they all deserve the best possible person to guide them in their lives.

I'm going to give this one five stars just because of how much I personally enjoyed it. I will admit though there are things about it that might bother other people.

If I hadn't played through all the individual endings I might have just given it four stars. That's spoiler territory though so I would recommend you not click on the spoiler tags, ButI would like to break all four of them down and say what I liked about them or didn't.

Before I do that though if you haven't played this game I would say it is very much worth it.
There is a lot of reading though and some running around, but the conversations are fun and sometimes insightful.
You'll have to be ok with people joking around a lot and dancing around what they are really feeling though. At least that's how my playthrough went.

As for the quality of the renders these are some of the best I've ever seen. Very good on all levels. I would say Alice and Melody are my personal favorites in the looks department, but every other character is no slouch either.

I'm going into the endings now. GO PLAY IT!





There is one more ending that I did not do, but I won't say anything about it.

This guy really knows how to make gorgeous models. Very few devs come up with great models.
I wish he could get more revenue for doing animation. Animation was the only thing missing.

There are other shortcomings like fake choices but 4.5stars just for the models and story.

The story it self was pretty good but got boring in places but not to bad to stop reading. The girls was hot but the sex scenes sucked. The romance was good and you have choices but those choices mean nothing on the endings. If you didn't want Alice flirting with Karina to bad the Harem ending shows she ignored your decision. The ending solo and Harem had nothing to do with your choices you made in the story it's like the Dev didn't know how to match your choices to an ending so he made his own endings no matter your choices.
