I'm speaking facts, you are making assumptions, get that straight.
Nothing I said was directed towards this specific dev but a generalized statement. Actions speak louder than words, this is truth. There's always a reason to lie, this is also truth.
You can say whatever you want, it won't change those truths. Assumptions have no merit, you made a claim that they have no reason to lie ignoring at least 3 basic reasons that even a child in primary school can easily figure out, thus I said your words are hollow. They aren't based off of anything except your own optimistic desire.

My "optimism" stems from not seeing every game developer as a Hanna-Barbera villain and understanding that game development is never easy. I understand this better than you do because there are people in the game industry who can calmly tell you that developing games takes years. But maybe they're lying? Maybe. Does that mean we should distrust every developer in general? I don't think so. Look, all this won't lead anywhere. You with your opinion and me with mine, and that's that

You have no clue what I understand nor the length of which I understand them, your reason for saying you "understand better than me" is extremely shallow and sounds like nothing more than "They said trust me bro, so I trust them" that's fine for your own optimism but it's like grabbing a cloud (it has no weight). At the very least say something like "I've made a game before, so I can tell you it takes time." then you actually have something valid to say. Not a single soul said anything about distrusting every developer, that's yet another assumption you made.
However, if anyone has doubts about this specific dev, it stems from the development cycle this game has gone through: Made game, rework, increased progress, rework, increased progress, remade game from scratch, increased progress, undetermined hiatus length while they work on another game. Not just "seeing every game developer as a Hanna-Barbera villain" but an actual track record that can be seen.

Believe what you want, your opinion is your opinion. I'll continue basing things off of the facts we have and say one last time: Actions vs words.

Everything I "believe" is based on the video game industry itself, and since no one—I repeat, no one—has made a video game in less than a year without it obviously being a very bad, poorly made, and badly programmed game, and I know that you're really only talking about this specific creator and no one else, but precisely because we can't distrust his word, because at least in his case, he did finish the first chapter of this game, so he's not that incompetent. This isn't going anywhere, so we'd better leave it here, and that's that. Good debate, anyway.

I believe it's not necessarily a bad thing that he takes his time on his main game but rather the fact the he just chooses to neglect it so much. The game is going on for its 3rd remake not to mention it's divided by chapters. Game 1 released in 2023, in 2 years we got 3 complete remakes of the game all with different artstyles of the same artist instead of just focusing on one. If we go by this we'll end up having the so called Chapter 2 by what it feels like 2030 IF he hasn't remade the game an 8th time.

Like of course I'm sure developing a game is hard, same with drawing (I don't know either programming or drawing, I can't judge.) but it feels like he's just rehashing this concept to keep getting money on patreon (let's be honest everyone in his patreon is there for Fremy's). Just keeping the game in a pot for so long remaking it non-stop is not good, just look at Wollay and Cube World for instance.

That's not the problem itself, but how people, instead of seeing it as "the developer simply isn't communicating properly, and we don't like that at all," see it as "he's a scammer." Finally, in two pages someone with some sense. I'm done talking to him cause he's just throwing out nonsense hoping it'll stick. He literally has all the facts yet continues his farce, nothing he said has even a trace of persuasive power. Even when I pointed out that everything he said is just wishful assumptions, he returns with more assumptions.
I guess if you can't win with facts just throw out bullshit until the other side gives up.

well... my english is poor but i gonna try to explain... some cooco crazy how as banned 4 times i dont know why is throw the tantrum because games make in short time only came out in bad shapes when we have the jams on itch.io how prove wrong and only games who take years to came out is valide to play... well i say this is bullshit because i see old games who in the world is much big them ark and work im like 1kb and games who in short time the devs create the generate terrain in a script in what 199X... i dont remember in fact but i see like who make a game and is in itch ( because is a failure like game in my high school) the a good game its not the amout time dedicad hows decide but the game itself... so many gamemake games is good but the mechanics its some times the same but the history call you atention or them the fight came out the turns lik PMD (pokemon mysterys dungeon) or the pokemon fire ash from 2015 whos make in gba pokemon fire red who fallow all journey of ash ketchum... in resume IN MY OPNION waht make the game good is the conection with gamer... some players say the same game is a shit other see beatifull... i like use the WROST crest in silksong and i love die to a especific boss because the dopamine order just give ragequit... and this is another detail... i think a good game is a game who dont try to apraise for everyone... is a game who still in the pillar of indentite... a game mak for everyone is a game to nobody like helldives say and a game its not abaout time but relation

Nope, you read that wrong. Not the game finished by 2026 but Chapter 2 finished in 2026. Well, with the recent further delay of GTA 6, maybe they can keep their Twatter promise.
