Because TwistedScarlett 60 has lost control, any balance, and is trying to make God knows what out of a great and simple guy from FwB1.
And It was done absolutely terrible, there was practically no conversation with the "player", only about the existential crisis of BlackCurrant.
And I didn't asked for any philosophy at all. I wanted Pinkie Pie, talking with US behind the MC, like she did in FwB1. It felt special
It is okay, if there a bit of philosophy, like it was on FwB1. But on FwB1 it was.. How much, 25% of her total time? Not 95%.

It's ok my guy, different strokes for different folks, I enjoy Blackcurrant as a character and her issues with being what she is, I think she provides more depth to the pinkeverse other then bein g an interesting side gimmick or a one note joke.
Personally I am loving a lot of the philosophical and existential conversations of FWB2 and you don't and that is fine, I am sure you will find other things about FWB enjoyable besides the philosophical angle.

There is already many routes that I love! And even with philosophy, I still remember forest 2, for example - it made me empathize even with my empty soul and black heart, it was balanced, and just.. Good!
While some other routes are more about glorified twaddle than about plot..

yeah had the correct file, but instead of unpacking it to its own folder it just unpacked it seperatly into my downloads folder, cause usually all i have to do is right click and say extract here. but there have been times i have to click on extract (name of folder).

In all honesty... it's a game that is the follow up of another game about fucking humanoid horsegals, with a 4th wall breaking girl, a man that is basically on his second run through a world that is even more unstable than the first one.
Is it that weird to think that some guy that isn't at his first go trying to fix up the entire fabric of reality, has developed some wiser traits?
He aren't even close "fixing fabric of reality", that's for start, but also: when exactly he "has developed" it? :/
First run was a breeze - little heavy thoughts, no choices, and everything turned allright.
Second? Immediately 100% philosophic.

I mean coming to the realization that you are effectively a meta-dimensional clone of a cross-dimensional clone transplanted into a dystopian world seemingly on the verge of collapse, as possibly an act of desperation sent here to save it on a hope and a prayer of a fractured and tortured bifurcated soul, and your only super powers are giving good pep talks, being empathetic, and having a larger then average set of genitals. it tends to make someone introspective of their existence and adapt rather quickly using the best tools at their disposal. and i wouldn't call the last game simple or a breeze, A fair ammont of heavy things happened in fwb1, both existential and personal.
Look, not every part of every game is going to appeal to everyone. I personally am not a fan of this "Anchor" concept, id like to leave the door open to the possibility of more multiverse adventures even if just in my imagination if Twisted decides to never make a FWB 3 ill still have the joy of undefined possibility to let this universe live on in my mind and dreams. but with that said this is not my story. It is Twisted's story, one they have yet to finish. i don't know what their plans are but i am going to wait for twistedscarlet to finish their intended story they want to tell. I will reflect and formulate what i did and did not enjoy only then rather then passing judgement now when only some of the pieces are on the board. Afterall it would not be the first time they have surprised me with their writing.
If i want to see everything I personally want I should follow their example and nut up, learn Renpy, and get to writing my own stories. but as that is not like to happen anytime soon, I should practice both patience and temperance as a fan.
But you are entitled to your opinion if you don't like a more complex, introspective MC and his (in your opinion) unrealistically quick shift to philosophical musings and introspection then you are entitled too it, but I disagree and am rather enjoying the character of the MC mostly and those that have been presented so far.
Now as we are going around in circles this is going to be the last time i comment on this subject for now.
