as of Part 1 v 0.3.3 & Part 2 0.4.3
The Story & the World:
It started off as fairly rough and clumsy but the writing drastically improved over the course of the story. That being said, there is a lot of drama and "story arcs", but at no point does anything really pose any threat to mc or does mc do anything to resolve any problems. Everything just gets solved for him, and he gets everything handed to him for basically free, nothing ever has any drawbacks besides "oh no i get a new slave to my harem". So there is not even an actual power fantasy going on, it just strikes me as odd every single time.
The world itself feels rather alive and there is a lot of stuff happening, although i do find it weird, that literally every single idividual, that is not aligned with mc, is completely and exclusively motivated by sex, which is imo fairly offputting and illogical, given the fact that slaves and such are THE common thing in this world. And the individuals that are aligned with mc do not give two shits about anything besides mc, like literally hand him everything on a silver platter but do not do anything besides doing that, that is their sole purpose of existing without ever stating any real reason behind that.
So that kinda results in any (non harem-) character having pretty much no depth and being simply a plot device to either hand mc the solution to a problem or be the next comically big bad evil guy without an actual plan.
One could argue, in the case of the evildoers, that "not every guy in power is smart and thus cannot scheme that well", but given how every single one of those guys is portrayed, that they schemed for literal decades/generations and such, that argument just doesn't make any actual sense.
The laws of the world also are very inconsistent (although only later into the story), and given that those are THE early plot point that is kinda sad to see.
The Girls & the Scenes:
I gotta admit, introducing "lolis" into the game under the guise of halflings and other races is a smart workaround to the taboo and explaination why this kind of bodytype is supposed to be an adult.
But that being said, the game features a lot of scenes, all but 3-5 being completely vanilla (with only Anal and Breeding being a common occurrence), as in about 10 different animations with only swapped out girls in the renders.
The few non-vanilla scenes include 2-3 Soft-Bondage, 1 Soft-Exposure and maybe something else that slipped my mind right now. The dialog during the scenes is bland and feels very Copy-Paste.
The design of the Girls is very diverse and imo pretty nice, it fits well and does seem "natural" for the world. And there are a lot of them, most of them, again, given to MC without any effort, bonding, or sacrifice. The formula is basically most of the time: Here is a new girl => MC busy/enslaves/marries the girl => they have sex => girl loves MC
That wouldn't be too bad, considering that the theme IS harem, but most of the girls basically never get mentioned/showed again. And i do not mean the optional/missable girls (which basically only have 1 vanilla scene & a small introduction dialog each). Some of the girls get introduced in the first half of the first part and only get a second scene near the current end of the second part.
The only a few of the girls that are actually present in the story do show some sort of character development, but most are not impacted by anything really whatsoever. There is very little conveyed emotion in these girls.
The "Sandbox":
The story is purely linear and is advanced by the blue choices that occur on different days during different times of day, mostly in your bedroom. The movement around the World, all the locations and options are all optional and kinda non-canon, since they bend the time in some cases (characters being there while they shouldn't due to the plot). The author addresses this in the last third of Part 1 iirc as a conscious design choice. Imo an odd design choice but, it is not too obtrusive, although tue do there being SO MANY locations it is kinda bothersome to click though every single one for every single stage of the day to see if any new optional events popped up.
Some kind of marker/notification would be great to indicate that there is an option besides "go back" in that area before you check there.
tldr: cute little story, a bit lengthy and not much depth. Scenes are bland, but all in all an enjoyable light-read.
