I read some earlier comments relating to the game's artwork. I saw one in particular that I thought was uncalled for, and it made me want to pop in with my own two cents (which turned into a long winded post - sorry!).
I've mentioned it in an earlier post, but I personally really like the artwork. While the game's strongest aspect may be the writing, characters, and myriad of choices, the artwork compliments things perfectly in my opinion. There's heart and soul behind each drawing.
As an artist myself, I really appreciate games with hand drawn, custom art - especially from someone who is new to the craft. Rather than opting to use AI art (which isn't necessarily better or faster btw), ForeverLosing has shown determination and bravery by putting themselves out there and sharing their own artwork while continuing to learn and grow as an artist.
I'm envious because I often struggle finding the courage to write a simple post (like this one for example) or share some fan art. Maybe it's just me, but I find there's a sense of vulnerability whenever you share or show your art. Art is subjective, and everyone will judge you either vocally or subconsciously. Some will even shit all over you just to make themselves feel good without providing any constructive criticism whatsoever.
The challenge is believing in yourself, shutting out any negative vibes, comments, or thoughts, and to keep going. Clearly ForeverLosing seems to be doing a great job of this while also taking constructive comments and criticism to improve themselves.
So I guess point of this is that I wanted to say thank you to ForeverLosing for sharing your game, your art, and for doing what you do.
