You can absolutely use img2img to create a similar image with positions and poses similar. If you care to be stricter, you can use controlnet or similar things to use AI to detect the poses and reproduce them, but just modify the whole thing in the way you see fit to prompt. Like a different art style or give everyone extra bits or whatever. It's a blast. Definitely breathe new life into the often soulless or slightly chunky 3D of the past. To be honest I often remake AI stuff from a couple years back since it's improved so much in a short time.
