Futadom rye's update is coming out today, I'm gonna post a changelog and a mega link later on.

1. We are releasing Rye Part Two this month.
Though we got sucker-punched (donkey-punched?) by taxes, there will be a playable RP2 out this month come hell or high water. Remember that time I took sick days from work to publish #SaveSuni on time? We're gonna do that.

2. Our good friend Doodles has launched
Futadomworld Founding Father Doodles is moving on to his new project,

3. We continue to be recruiting writers.
Okay so when you put Rye Part One together with Rye Part Two, it's like 60,000 words. (Or 400 Google Docs pages, for context.)
This porn game contains a goddamned book.
Anyway, it's hard to write everything while doing as much other stuff as we're doing, so we are now seeking out writers who can write smut in our script format: we'll pay you $60 per thousand-word scene.

It's almost like Game Development isn't easy, especially for people who are making their first game as a group, and one that is relatively complicated and in depth. The money is going towards living expenses, paying other artists for comissioned work, and taxes, which is especially awkward given they're all from different countries last I checked.
Don't just mindlessly rag on these people because they're spending time making the game people want to see made, if you don't want to pay them that's your decision, but don't shit on people who are willing to pay them because those people are clearly happy with the progress.

I may have missed something glossing over the past few pages, but I don't really see anyone downing on others for contributing to these devs. I see a lot of people complaining about delays on the game over the course of their releases, but not the other. While I read each complaint with a grain at some point there is a question of where is the line drawn of great dev team working on a great game and then not so great dev team ruining a good game/concept?
That said while I'm more of the patient type and am fine with waiting for a great finished result last release for this game was let's say poor at best given the time it took (with delays included). I also believe there is some merit in the complaints on what appear to be consistent delays that this game as seen on releases. I will say they at least give good update posts so we know the game/project isn't dead compared to those who disappear for long stretches without a peep, or even worse up and vanish with a bag full of money never to be heard from again.
In addition, while we can all debate on the pros, cons, etc... of devs and their work ability there is one key thing that isn't really debatable in a dev's world... Time. Whether you are working as a dev for a corporation or as a dev peddling a smutty game on the internet you are under the constraint of time to produce even when you're making the deadlines/goals. If you miss enough deadlines in a corporate world they can you and if you miss enough deadlines in this case people will like you stated slowly start to pull their support where they lose revenue (both are the threads of their livelihood). While I hate seeing someone lose their job or sources of income there needs to be an accountability for the work you are committing yourself to doing. I for one in these devs' case believe they are right on the hypothetical line where they should be taken to task on those commitments and at this point while I hate reading complaints some of them with regards to delays are warranted.
That being said I will say (and always say) we should all try our best to be civil in our communication to one another with our views/opinions on these games. After all we are all perverts sailing on the same ship to hell (side note: RC might as well have a front row seat for the amount of games he plays/posts on).

Honestly, I never really got this. If people want to just skip to the scenes, why play a game at all? There's regular animated porn for that. I like reading the buildup.

I dont mind reading, I actually prefer it with the images and animations, otherwise its just jacking it to pinups. I find that if its well written and whatnot it adds to the debauchery.
