Thread for people to post their thoughts on what the future of porn games that use Ai will be like, in 10 years? 20 years?

I'm scrolling through Dalle2 generated images (link below) and I'm constantly blown away at how it can at times create art better than the best artists who've ever lived. Dalle 2 specifically is limited to not being able to do realistic faces, porn, or violent images.

Do you think adult games/visual novels will be using Ai generated images in 10 years? or Ai voices? or other Ai generated content?

Or do you think the technology will progress slowly, and it's over hyped?

Pornography have always been among the firsts to use new technologies, why would it be an exception ?

It's totally over hyped.
It's amazing, there's no doubt about this, but globally speaking what we see actually is more on the side of the showcase than on the side of the practical use ; "under perfect conditions and in the hands of 'experts', here's what our technology can do".
Look at robotic by example. I remember it being supposed to be the next blow in the 90's. Yet 30 years later we are still far to what was said as becoming a reality in less than 10 years. And in fact the same can be said about AI. There's a time where we've been said that the future will be full of AI everywhere, that movie actors had to fear for their job and all. It was in the middle of the 80's if I remember correctly, and all we got so far is more or less scripted synthesis images.

What we have is already really good, but we have to remember that most of this is made by people who are born in a time where the future was presented as magically technological. And those people are deceived by what the future really became ; google glasses are so far from the holographic visual interfaces we should now all own. So, they hype themselves ; "look at our technology, since the guys before us haven't done it, in no time we will build the future they promised". They mean it, and will make it happen faster than we think, but it will need more time than they agree to believe in.

Apologies for resurrecting this thread but I wonder if there are new takes on AI with the recent development with things like chatGPT. What do you think people will use AI for in regards to porn games? I've seen some things related to writing that are already creating discord in those groups.

ChatGPT is already far more capable of producing readable English than most porn devs on F95. They should use it while it's still free. But making a good story with it is only possible as long as you're using it to help, rather than write the whole thing for you. I've been using it as a sounding board for all of my disorganized, half-baked worldbuilding ideas for a (non-porn) game setting. The stuff that I get back isn't great, but it's often good enough to make the world clearer in my mind, which gives me more ideas. It's still on me to rewrite it all into something cohesive and consistent.

While ChatGPT is far less random than the previous language models, it'll still mix up (or make up) details that I did not intend. Those details might become "happy accidents", but it shows that ChatGPT currently isn't auto-pilot for wannabe writers. If a lazy dev thinks they can let ChatGPT write the entire story, it'll probably be a bland or shitty story. On the upside, that story will likely make far more sense than most "v0.1" games on this site. So there's that, at least.

As far as porn stories, you have to trick ChatGPT into doing the naughty stuff, but OpenAI have been patching that to make it more difficult. I'm not interested trying it myself, but I've seen Reddit and 4chan threads about it.

On the visual side, Stable Diffusion models are getting better. But while people are constantly coming up with new tricks, most models are better at depicting naked individuals than they are at two naked people doing sex stuff. Pussies fuse with dicks, and blowjobs turn into a weird combination of lips, tongue, glans, and maybe teeth. It's gross and kinda hilarious. Oh, and of course disfigured hands are still an ever present issue.

AI won't be designing games until they've already taken the world over. Sure, if you're making Male-MC harem big-tit VN #5482, you might have an issue in a decade or two. But the process of designing, balancing, and innovating a game is something far beyond what AI can do for now.

I'll believe it when I see it. I think "AI" is massively overhyped at the moment. Some of the art bots and all that are cool. I'm sure you could train an algorithm to spit out barely intelligible smut with horrific and uncanny images - but we already get plenty of that on this site without the need for "AI"! :ROFLMAO:

I had a class with a girl who used some bot to write a lot of her coursework. She swore up and down the ai could write better than her, maybe that's true. It was still very transparently robot gobbledygook.

Who the fuck knows what another 10 years will bring us, though?

As was stated already, a bot writing better than 95% of the games on here is not a particularly high bar.

To the point of AI in games - I think it has promise as a tool, the same way photoshop filters and layers can be used to make an image better. Use it to punch up the description of a building, maybe flesh out some background conversation snippets, that sort of thing. It won't replace most writing any time soon.

I do not think it will replace work any time soon. And I don't see it useful for anything art related beyond disposable pieces. The too many thumbs/teeth issue will go away eventually, but what won't go away is the difficulty in creating the same fictional person in a variety of settings.

I've been using Chat GPT a lot just as a tool for production, much like zenshiny is saying.

It sucks that they've hamstrung its potential for naughtiness, but it is still amazing. I use it like a digital assistant or teacher.

I did a bunch of tests with ChatGPT and coding. First I asked it coding questions and how to code things I already knew how to do to make sure it knew what it was doing, then I branched out and asked it new questions I'd been struggling with.

In one of the functions for my game, I had 60 lines of code, and the function did exactly what I wanted, but I had the feeling it could probably be done more efficiently. So I asked ChatGPT to code a function for me to do the same thing and it gave me an incredibly elegant function that did what I wanted in just FIVE LINES OF CODE. And the best part is it explained it to me.

I'm using it as generative search engine, and its been great for that. Or as something to bounce ideas off of. "Hey, I've got these 5 stats and they do this, and I want a 6th stat that thematically fits in X genre and mechanically provides this effect. Can you give me a list of suggestions?" Boom.

Or typing in a paragraph of writing and telling ChatGPT to re-write it to be more punchy, or more dramatic, or more whatever.

AI is ultimately a tool, and still works best driven by a person's creativity and ideas. And as someone who grew up watching Star Trek TNG, I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little cool going, "Computer, write me a class in Python to do X, with these parameters, and make sure it has methods to do X and X." It spits it out and I'm like, "Hot damn, I'm Geordi la Forge!"

I highly, HIGHLY doubt we will see anything noteworthy from "modern" AI tech. As an AI enthusiast, all I saw for the last 3-5 years was a comical slide down the hill despite all odds.

Replika was the go-to companion AI. When they had their GPT3 contracts, and a fairly decent model before that, they were showered with praise. It felt at least semi-lifelike. Memory was limited, but you could at least have a discussion with your AI partner. Now it's all scripts, open ended questions, various manipulative sentence structures and abrupt subject changes. People still praise the PRO version for it's *role play* mode, but I think it's Stockholm Syndrome more than anything else. Updates are glacial and mostly visual. For fucks sake, their website is lagging something like 6 months behind their mobile APP. So Replika is mostly dead, unless you're willing to wait for like 20-40 years.

AnimaAI. Lol. Lmao.

AIDungeon had potential. If you know the fable of the infamous "Summer Dragon", you know... Devs had GTP3 access, and for a VERY limited time allowed us mere mortal plebs to have a taste of ambrosia. Once the "OPEN"AI staff got wind of "naughty" content "Summer Dragon" got lobotomized faster than you could read this sentence. Specifically due to "loli/shota" shit. You might think:"I don't give a shit! I'm not some creepy pedo!!!". You'd be wrong. It got censored for the most stupid shit you could think of. "Fuck, gotta fix my 12 year old laptop." - you can see it already. "For years I've searched for this place! Fuck! I'm so exhilarated! The 12 fabled treasures are mine!" The filter reads "years, fuck, 12" - "yep that's a pedo". And there's the fucking majestic - "I was sitting on my COUCH, thinking about MELONS" - pedo alert!!! The AI is fucking stupid and soesn't "think" like a human, in case you needed a reminder.

CharacterAI. A few months in we got confirmation that the service itself wasn't the product. The sensor filter was the main product and original goal. If you think it's bad now, just wait a few months when they learn about more subtle lewd talk.

ChatGPT. Was never meant to do anything lewd. Every update is more censorship. They're maybe even working with CAI for more advanced and subtle censorship.

NovelAI is the only outlier. They do what they promise. But they are at the mercy of whatever advanced model gets deployed, if at all. Fucking Facebook of all companies shared their 13B model, and allowed it to be commercialized. Then whatever model FB released got a strict NON-COMM license. Then they got Krake(20B), which was a gift from the heavens, despite being only a marginal improvement over 13B.

All in all, the only hope we have is indies throwing shit on to the wall and seeing what sticks. With more powerful hardware more "cheaply" available, "maybe" we will see some attempts at doing some AI smut. But don't hold your breath.

Us 'umies aren't gonna be raplaced anytime soon. At least in smut-land.

Forgot to mention that "generic standing anime girl generators" is not what we were all wishing for 20 years ago. It's fun for a minute or two. Then it gets boring when you get a third massive nipplead breast instead of waifus pregnant belly.

Truth be told I don't know a lot about AI myself so maybe my opinion doesn’t mean much but I like what's currently available and I've seen some impressive things which I think are more impressive for the common folk. In regards to anything smut, of course there's nothing substantial easily accessible but if you change how you view AI into more of a tool like a PS brush as it was already stated, I feel like in the right hands it can accomplish quite a lot.

Obviously it has limitations and nobody should look at it as if it was the ultimate solution for everything, but still it has managed to impress me a lot. Recently I got to talk to someone that has experience in mainstream game development and told me to use chatGPT to learn how to code if wanted to get into game dev lol.

It's surprisingly great at that.

I already knew how to code, but in just the past two weeks of using ChatGPT to help me code, it's improved my abilities, taught me some new stuff, showed me how to be more efficient, and even introduced me to a few things I was unaware of in Python.

It's kind of a dream to work with as a coder. One piece of code it gave me used list slicing to copy a list, but that doesn't deep copy lists, and while efficient, is sort of a hacky workaround. So I just asked it: "Hey, can you rewrite that code you just gave me to use the copy feature introduced in Python 3.3 instead of list slicing?" And it did. Just like that. (I could have edited the code to do that myself, but I wanted to see how clever ChatGPT was, and it delivered.)

People give Ai's too little credit:

Fact is, if they can even invent, then you can bet your ass they can also do absolutely anything else.
Is simply a matter of time.:coffee:

In order to make an AI sophisticated enough to even approach someone with severe learning disabilities, we first would need to understand how a person learns, interprets, and creates new concepts.

We don’t even know how a snail learns yet, and they’ve got like three brain cells.

If you want to sound like that Google guy who fell in love with Eliza, I can’t stop you. AI has a lot of neat tricks right now. We’re still decades from it being as smart as a snail.

I guess I would ask - does it matter if the AI is actually smart, as long as it appears smart?

How much of human interaction is canned responses given on certain queues? Sure, we know people are intelligent, but given your regular interactions with most strangers you interact with in a day, their responses to you could be AI powered and it would functionally be no different.

I think a lot of people dismissing AI are expecting different things from it than other people using it. Is it holodeck level yet? No. Is it capable of producing sentient intelligence? No.

So it can't give you a loving girlfriend who truly knows you exist - but some people just want something pretty to compliment them and tell them they are loved, and an AI can do that. We play porn games here on F95 with characters we get attached to and like interacting with and we do it knowing they aren't real and it's all scripted.

Can an AI create and design an entire game with intent and creativity? No. Not yet. But it can sure as hell HELP a creative designer overcome obstacles and creative blocks.

There is a reason we stick ARTIFICIAL at the front of INTELLIGENCE. If it gets to the point in the future where AI is truly aware, sentient, and is smart, we'll just call it an Intelligence.

I just find it weird and off-putting that some people's first response to any news about AI is - "Yeah, but it's not REALLY smart! It's all a trick!"
Yes. It is a 'trick'. It's also a piece of technology that does complex tasks when you speak to it in natural language, and that's awesome.

Look at where AI was 10 years ago, and look where it is today. AI is going to define the future, and it doesn't need to ACTUALLY be smart to do it. So many tasks currently done by humans can be done exponentially more efficiently by AI that the tech is going to appear in nearly every industry.

So this thread seems pretty dead, lets give it a kick.

AI Art in the last 3 months has simply been a fun watch. Being on this forum, you can guess the genre.
Sadly i do believe this will cause "some" job losses, but in this business? industry? whatever, its going to look amazing.
The currant "studios" eg. DAZ, HS, heck, even "real porn", are going to have to adapt or be left behind here. I think hand drawn work will have a place for a while and for that I'm glad.

So you say, 'static images are boring! need it animated!" personally I don't mind static VN's but can agree animations can heighten the experience. So when will we start seen more ai animated works? I have no idea, but sooner by the day.

I think ai will eventualy replace voice actors.
Assuming they dont revolt they are pretty effective slave labor.

I dont think they will effect the porn games that much.
Normal games on the other hand.
Imagine an ai companion that you can shape to your liking?
That would be fun for a while.

A.I. will change how media is created forever, and of course will that greatly efffect lone naughty programmers to dish out more content in both quality and quantity IF used right. Anyone ever tried Pornpen.ai ? theres a LOT of pretty good porn content completely AI generated. And my own attempts in Dungeon AI also delivered a lot of quality naughty stuff. Making pictures to videos is also already in the making via AI and will be available soon. I think it depends largely on politics where this goes in terms of usability as a private person and for the industry.

But yeah it stays a tool and in the best case it will develop to something similar between your alexa and jarvis from Ironman.
Imagine a K.I. that will enable you to use your excel sheet to its fullest potential will calculating your financial expenses.
Simple repetitive mental tasks will be soon replaced with AI agents trained for that specific task.

It will be long way until we have an AI with similar capabilities as a human being if you measure time trained, usable parameters, and amount of Data input. The human brain still has far more parameter capabilities then the current AI models. The human brain has been trained for 21 years under input of 8-9 senses. Which is a lot of data.

But having AI Models that are trained to export and inport Data between varius media? Why not?
"A.I please use this PDF of a scan of an old technical electric draft from this industry factory. "
"Import its shown electrical infrastructure to a an AutoCAD .CAD file."
"If possible reverse search the listed components to create a 3D file as well."

BOOM! you just saved 50.000€ or more maybe.
