bruv, at this point just get the starbound sex mods up and running, those have had years of passionate development behind them, pretty sure there's even multiplayer support
and you also get a game with them
and probably other non-sex mods to make that game have actual interesting content

As much as I dislike backdoor studio for how unorganised they are, they do have nice art tho. Hopefully they finish this game without deciding to randomly rework it 5 or so times before abandoning it
