Anyone still uses this or am I the only one?
Yes, still using it until that Atlas client is ready. its getting damn close. join the discord for both GL and Atlas in my signature.
Atlas will have feature parity and already got bulk installing going on. only a few features missing like being able to delete titles and versions and version deletion on new version install. but its getting there.

will probably stop using GL once i get the features i need in Atlas as its already pulling metadata, images and so on. Much more open ended and obviously open source.

I had to rebuild my PC and setting this up again ... I've forgotten if there was a way to bulk import all my games or if I have to do it one-by-one for each game ... any idea?
missed this one! Bulk importing was a thing in the earlier builds yes! but was removed by tid until it was fixed.... which sadly it wasnt!

So you have to install them one by one in GL.
Sidenote, Atlas will import the GLinfo.ini files or whatever they where called for a seamless bulk import when the time comes.

I've recently installed Atlas to take a look at it - but it seems to have no database that I can see & browse through?
I use GL a lot to spot "new" games popping up as well as see favorited or owned games' updates.
Will Atlas be able to do that, too?

Yeah thats right. currently there is no "Browse Mode" which is an github issue and something we want to get added with time once the main bugs we are having is fixed. Currently struggling with the volume of thumbnails and the latency and smoothness of loading it all.

And yeah, we have a favorite system in the backend currently but its not active just yet.
And yeah, notifying about new updates is one of the key features we must have in there. its the big one we all want and need.
Join the discord and chat with us. Also we probably could use a few more devs on it :)

Btw tid Atlas has been rebooted into C# instead of C++ like it was before. Know you debated rewriting GL in C# at one point and it’s the language you would use.
Just wanted to mention if you want to poke at it.

I wanna start using Atlas, but in a way that integrates with my own setup. What I want Atlas to do is import a game via some cli command (or have it host a local server and hit its api route). Can you point me to the code where it imports games? I know a bit of C#, and I don't expect you guys to implement such a specific feature - so I'll try it myself.

My setup is basically:
  • Discord bot tells me about game updates
  • I copy the link for jdownloader2 to parse
  • It downloads game the archive and extracts it to my gooner disk <- this is where I wanna use Atlas to have it more orderly

We do have ideas for JD2 support. like a custom package name that saves the JD2 package as the F95 thread id number. already made that on the JD2 side here. we need the client to just parse that number though aswell.
Currently we have no api to speak of either.
The only scanner we have is the F95 scanner:

If it isnt in the GameDetails file. But in the end, im not the dev. Join the Discord and you can poke tower (the dev) yourself.
