Take, for instance, a hypothetical match-3 puzzle game.

Something like Huniepop is best for that.

The problem with Sex that is too integrated into the Gameplay is you could be too focused on the Gameplay to really experience the Sex. You want the result to be a good fapping experience. Capping it off as a reward at the end is one way to delineate things.
I think the best puzzle games are Way" or Haro that has it's own structure and pacing to the gameplay and sex scene that creates the best experience for me.

Idle games are about "Optimization" similar to Management Games or Diablo style Character Building and Grinding, especially if you unlock sex scenes you want to do it more efficiently and faster.

Well, most games with idle mechanics usually work with microtransactions to enable the player "skip the idle grind".

The actual gameplay is everything around it, like the clicking or management part. But if the gameplay of something consists of "leaving the game open in the background to farm money" then you stopped playing the game.

Which is why I don't really consider the idling part of those games as gameplay mechanic but instead as something that gets in the way of the gameplay.
