Games became boring

Over the past year i noticed that most of the new games became boring and has nothing special inside of them. Repetetive ideas and flat gameset is all i see nowadays, i used to see a lot of new projects with interesting ideas behind it and cool game styles or good gameplay mechanics in them, now its just renpy ai slop or just bad games with no soul put in it.

Am I getting too old and stricted towards new games or it is actually became poor age of hgames?

About once or so every month, since this site was created 9 years ago, people have posted similar feelings that you posted about today.

What you have is a case of nostalgia blindness - "everything was so much better back when I first started playing adult games, now nearly everything seems to be trash." Or just like when old timers reminisce about "the good old days."

There was a lot of trash back then, too. The total volume has increased since then, so the portion that is trash has increased in number... But so has the portion that is good.

Also, because it was more novel for you back when you started, you were more easily impressed. Now that you have seen the same tropes used over and over, you recognize them quicker and judge their use more harshly.

Let's say that your favorite food is ice cream and if you only ate ice cream for every meal, every day... eventually you will find that ice cream just doesn't do it for you like it used to and you wish that someone could do something to make ice cream as enjoyable for you as it once did.

I recommend learning about: Rosy Retrospection, Declinism, Hedonistic Adaptation, Dopamine Tolerance.

Perhaps the problem doesn't reside within the many others, but rather that you have played so many games that you have become desensitized to the simple novelty of the adult video game experience?

There is nothing new under the sun - and just like movies, tv shows, novels, general video games - hundreds, thousands are churned out every year with similar storylines, concepts, etc but only very few become popular and fewer become critically acclaimed. Even fewer turn tropes on end or subvert expectations. However, most people don't attempt to see them all, read the all, etc --- but it seems there is a trend on F95 in attempting to play them all. When people do attempt to see/read all movies, tv shows, novels, etc -- similar complaints are made in those areas of entertainment as well.

Bottom line is it's not the games that are the problem, but the players who have played dozens (hundreds, thousands) of games. They've already seen the tropes, gimmicks, various art styles, etc. As such, they need something either more extreme or more intense to get the same feels they got when they played their first dozen or so games "that were soooooo much better" than the 4,000+ games added to F95 last year.

Look at the bright side, I think once you are bored with the existing content that means it is time for you to learn how to create content. Even if it's not porn games. Find a fun hobby you can enjoy and don't get sad!

If you do want to make games figure out art and programming, and that will bring you new levels of excitement and things to learn!

General rule in life is: Someone, some where, at some point in time, has had the exact same thought as you.

You've probably just played one too many Hgames, chief. The tropes and patterns have become so obvious that nothing surprises you. You need to take a break. Play normal games. Become a black belt in karate. Train squirrels to do tricks. Just do something to reset your brain chemicals.
