What I mean with modern is just something that isn't set in some fantasy, medieval, or sci-fi world.
With magic I mean magic system (or something similar) that's more interactable than just combat. So games like Caliross, A Spell for All, and Long Live the Princess would fit under the magic critera, but not necessarily the modern world criteria.
Female or Futa MC preferred, but not opposed to male or other MC.

Games i've played that would fall under the criteria:
A Spell for All - As modern as modern gets in terms of when it's placed. Magic is just like how i'm looking for
Lilith's Throne - Modern world(-ish. close enough). Magic is mostly used in combat, but with the magic you can use outside combat and the transformatives, it fits.
Transylvania - Set in moden world, but in a place that isn't as modern. The magic in this one is lacking, but it's close enough to count.
Girl Life - Fitting time and fitting magic.
Reborn App - Same as above really. Shame the thread here never got updated.
Adventure High - Same old, same old.
The Coceter Chronicles - Very loosely fits. It's set in a fantasy world but you get transported to the modern world later. The magic is quite lackluster except for story moments. Mainly mentioning to show that isekai from fantasy to modern would count, as long as there is some magic involved in the modern world.
Paradise Inc - Loosely fits. Interactable magic stuff set in modern world.

Games that sort of fits but not quite:
The Company - Not magic at all, but the science here loosely fits.
BT The Manor - Right setting, but the magic is severly lacking.
Vitamin Plus - Same for it's sequels and remake. Magic is severly lacking.

Games I haven't yet tried but seems to fit the criteria:
Lust Academy
Sorcerer

There's probably some games i'm forgetting, but i'm guessing they're going to be mentioned.

I did originally list Harry Potter and LotR as magic system example, but figured it didn't really say much when it came to how I wanted it implemented.
Harry Potter would be modern in the way i'm using it here. I'll check it out.
Well, it's no more no less a copypaste of many of the HP plot elements. A sudden and strange letter to an unsuspecting MC, a steam train, an old hidden school, four houses, dorms, an elderly powerful wizard as headmaster, unusual talent of the MC, a cozy wizard-aware muggle town nearby, some dark mysteries along the way... Still, to me it works, because although the skeleton is the same, the flesh is not quite.
There are also minigames that are easy and allow to progress the story, grind a bit in order to reach the needed skills or earn money.
And to this moment there's a lot of content and playtime.

I would not say Caliross is in a modern setting, surely it's a fantasy setting, i mean just look at the clothes shes wearing. I havent played the other games so idk if the following fit the bill:

https://f95zone.to/threads/treasure-of-nadia-v1-0117-nlt-media.38582/ (has a bit of magic, but prob not what u want, also male MC)
https://f95zone.to/threads/succulence-v2-5-ae-r-nest.6339/ (fem MC, not much magic)
https://f95zone.to/threads/magical-girl-celesphonia-v1-07-shimobashira-workshop-kagura-games.116302/ ( fem MC, lots of magic (i mean look at the title) but i dont remmeber if its all combat or not)
https://f95zone.to/threads/anthesis-shimobashira-workshop.20452/ (fem MC, no combat)

not very good games but might fit:

Sorry about that, I probably worded it a bit weird. What I meant with those three games was just to show games with a magic system that I was looking for. I'd say Caliross is indeed set in medieval/fantasy world and not modern.
Treasure of Nadia i played some time ago, wasn't really my cup of tea.
Just from the description, Succulence doesn't seem to quite be what i'm looking for. Although i'll check it out a bit more.
I was planning on trying out Magical Girl Celesphonia, quite liked the other game the developer made. Although if it's anything like Ambrosia, the magic isn't really prevalent outside combat.
Anthesis could be something fitting the critera? Hard to tell just by the description.
Nako's Magic aswell could be it, but difficult to say.
Forgot about The Proteus Effect. I quite liked the idea when it first came out, but didn't really follow it much after that. I wouldn't say it fits, seeing as you start in the modern world and is then isekai'd to a fantasy world.

Thinking about it some more, I should probably reword some of the original post. Thank you for the suggestions.
