I would gladly stomp to death several cute puppies to have that, I got the fondest memories of that time when I was younger, even though Heavy metal from 1981 is more "heavy metal" than fakk 2. fire and ice was awesome, and there was also Gandahar...
however, I hate to tell you, I never came across anything even remotely close in any media of what we had in the 80's, the way creators had the intellectual freedom to tell cool stories without worrying offending snowflakes theses days xD
I've been here for a while now and I don't think there's a game that fit that template, I may be wrong and I'd be happy to try any of your findings, but i'm not so optimistic.
