Poker's just used for a combat mechanism, and I added an AutoPlay button for those that hate it Basically it replaces the turnbased combat in Persona; some people really get into it (and spend time visiting the optional Random dungeons to play more), others ignore it and apart from a few story battles (which cannot be lost), never see it.
