Hello, I'm not really heavily into adult VNs or games in general, but I played some over the years and I always get somewhat disappointed with the fact that usually, the story/lore of those games are extremely boring if no less, it is also pretty unsatisfactory that the settings are usually repetitive or not well solid, if it is not a generic sex trope set in the modern world with soup opera drama, it is at best a storyline set in a repetitive fictious environment (such as sci-fi) that unfortunately never explores the potential of those settings.
And when I say a good story, I don't exactly mean good writing, since well, you can easily argue that a story good at being sensual or erotic is a well-written adult tale, but that is not exactly what I'm looking for, I'm rather interested in a game that has a good storyline regardless of it being pornographic or not, in other words, I'm looking for a story that would have been enjoyable or at least interesting even without the sex scenes. I simply do think that a storyline set in an immersive universe or scenario with decent dialogues and interesting characters is something that would definitely spicy up my experience while playing.
I know, it might be somewhat strange since what I'm asking isn't really the focus of that kind of games, however, I think that it would be interesting to see an adult universe where I can immerse myself into or at least actually care for the characters and don't see them simply as horny sex dolls.
