I recently played RaiOhGar and Armored Suit Solgante, motivated by playing Maya's Mission and it's locator. And the whole watching the heroine from afar going through some tribulations has a certain kind of appeal...
Sadly I haven't seen another game of its kind. So here I am, asking for recommendations, hoping there are more games with that mechanic and it's not that rare gem that it seems to be.
And if you haven't played said games, I whole recommend playing them in the order I wrote them. RaiOhGar was the first, that I know, with said mechanic from Gaptax and it's a timid attempt, where you need to pause the game and isn't fully exploited, then Solgante does develop more into it, adding it to the gameplay and being more bold (please update the deblur mod reeee). Finally Maya's is a western game, but it has the tracker soooo damn good implemented that even if it isn't completed yet, I have played it fully every update, just because how great it is.
