Recently played Once In A Lifetime and thought that short segment where you explored the abandoned building was a pretty fun experience. Are there Renpy / VN games here where you'd have to explore an area with branching paths and potentially solve puzzles a part of the story? Thanks.

Vae Victis, every faction has some sidequest that helps you conquer them. Most of them have some exploration part to them.
Mist the whole game is exploring and solving puzzles.
