Okay I usually just lurk but literally relax. I don't care what people's definitions tend to be regarding this, but if the person getting fucked is getting fucked in the asshole, and they have a penis, plus the person doing the fucking also has a penis (not a strap-on, or other varying elements), no vagina and no breasts, then it's gay. It is two men, and that is gay. Point blank.

That said, I personally am okay with it, but I'm not about to go out of my way because my issue here is that it's likely crumbs amount of content compared to the entire rest of the game that remains heterosexual, as that seems to be the primary target.

And apparently this is controversial these days, but I actually prefer a bottom male MC, crossdressing optional, and the MC in this game seems to do all topping, so on top of everything else, still not for me regardless.
It's not that complicated.
Bara, YAOI, Femboy / Trap / sissy Serves totally different audiences No matter what your definition of "Gay" is.
It's won't be a problem if someone randomly promote a game that others don't care, it goes away.

The problem is this dev SPAM their advertisement with images whenever they add random "M/M" scenes, and ALL of them are trap / crossdressing / femboy / sissy / with female. Basically shoving those stuff in everyone's face.
Not a lot of people who look for gay games want to look at trap / crossdressing / femboy / sissy / Female sex scenes.

Druid of Hungwood - does anyone have this game
The game is still on kickstarter so the only thing we have at the moment is the demo

They already reached the goal, but all the strechgoals are extra sex scenes, so throw some dollars if you want the game to be bigger.
Also, make sure to wishlists on steam, they will add two sex scenes if they reach 6000 wishlists before the end of the campaign.

If you don't have steam the demo is also on jtch.io

I bought it to share with you, enjoy
(the procedure is inside winrar, use the translator to translate, but it is easy)
I have a question, right now im in the blacksmith part of the story and its looks like there were some sex scene there but there wasn't any CG at all? Im the only one who didn't get the ch in that scene? Or i did something wrong? I get the other cg so far but idk if there was a problem with the nude mod or there are some CG missing or what

Ps thanks for sharing it, the game so far is incredibly good made

I'm surprised Y Press Games is actually making a game with real Bara Arts (And they are good), not those awkward "Non-YAOI game but with YAOI arts". Did they hire a new Bara artist?
Also do they kickstart every game they make? Or this one is something different? (IMO It's better than Patreon monthly subscription)

Since I saw somebody talking about Druid of Hungwood, I can't help myself but interject in this conversation. Honestly, I don't know that this game is under Y Press Games. But the artist that's making the game is and all of his bara artworks are top notch.

DoPq is one of the GOATs for bara art. I think I'm more surprised to see him working with Y Press. They've done some bara-adjacent stuff with Monster Ops and Orc Covenant, so my surprise is because their games strike me as low quality works. Monster Ops is really wordy without having good writing, and each release only has one or two sex scenes. I've assumed the rest of their games are pretty much the same way, but none of them look like my kinda thing. I figured Dopey would have found some better collaborators, considering the quality of his work.

A quick look at the account indicates that they do this for every game, and there are some failed ideas in there from a while ago.

If the kickstarter is to be believed, dopq is the one who came to them with the whole idea, and he is manager of the project, so it seems that he's doing all the story and art, and he is delegating to y press things like the programming and marketting and the annoying stuff that he wouldn't know how to do. This is more dopq's game than y-press' it seems.

Yeah, I understand your concern. Y Press games are meh at best, yet it's overpriced as hell. Well, I can only hope that the game turned out great, because I really loved their demos, and I don't regret following their Kickstaters.

looks the same to me except they just added more bulk to make it looks like a bara art

If someone else is doing all the story/art work for the game then it will hopefully be better than the other y-press games. I've skipped the whole Monster Ops series so i don't know about them, but with games like Dear Monster and Oni Onsen they always have enough content to draw your interest but it's generally lacking.

Art-wise they've been solid yet cheap i suppose i'd put it, in that they usually don't do more than 1-2 full cg per scene with minor variations and depend on pan and zoom to fill the time. In the case of Dear Monster they even had cases where the art didn't match the script, mentioning a character having a knot in the scene where the cg didn't show one. As for the story it's almost like they have a bullet point list of things to include then have 3-4 people who each write one route so little things get missed here and there, or in the case of Oni Onsen the possession plot point either playing a large part in the story or not even showing up at all in the case of Aku's route.

They've just always had little inconsistencies in their work and limited art compared to what you would expect for a game at that price. If dopq is really doing all that and has any real control of the project then hopefully it won't have the same issues as the others.

If this is a case of "dopq is the developer, Y Press is the publisher/tech support" then it would be the best case scenario as long as Y Press doesn't interfere with game making.
TBH I don't think Y Press knows how to make a good bara game.

Guess we will just have to wait and see.
Being pirates means we lose nothing if it's bait & switch or something not good. :p
