Short updates due to the fact that I'm writing this on my phone:

I'm working on the side to be able to afford the SSD. It's more expensive here than it is somewhere else like Amazon, for example.

Development has not stopped regardless of my current situation. ElFatGato have been working very hard to add details to the following (and hopefully even this update) assets and whatnot. For example. I mentioned in a previous de log that the gems will have their regular swimsuits. Here they are:

They need some modifications, though. Garnet string needs to be different for contrast, and amethyst swimsuit is supposed to be transparent. But what do you guys think, do you like to modifications or do you rather the originals?

As you may know, the player should be free to select whatever outfit they want if they have both enough domination level over a gem AND even a townie, and of course of they have the outfit in their inventory or unlocked it in the story.

And finally, well, we thought we wouldn't be able to include Garnet's redone scene. But seems like we will be able to now.

That's all for this week. Sorry for the short updates and lack of them. Writing this on my phone is a bit uncomfortable. Hopefully I will have the ssd before the end of this month, but I'm not sure about the update yet.

looks good, slutty suits are way better without question. default ones are just so boring, except for garnets, but with the slutty ones their sexy and super revealing without them actually bein naked. i really dont like amethyst in general, the character herself, shes not my type and her personality reeeally annoys me but i love the slutty suit you gave her. im a huge fan of see through/semi-see through stuff, and i love that pearls literally covers the barest of minimums if that makes sense. garnets im torn on, i do like it but it also looks weird on her like it needs some work or that type doesnt quite work for her if that makes sense

back on the topic of the see-through stuff any chance at some point we'll get see through clothes for the others? in particular id love to put pearl in something like a mesh shirt or dress, the kind where if shes naked under it someone wouldnt notice right away till they actually looked at her, if that makes sense

Good enough for me, power to ya. I'm already pretty sold on it. Sorry that it wasn't clear i already like the game. As for the minigames; if people don't like it they can always mod the game, stay true to your vision. It's not like you're trying to add yakuza combat to a stealth meme simulator a year into development.

If I may make a suggestion for pearl's swimsuit, I'm in favor of triangular almost pasty-sized cups for the top. Just throwing that out there.

I vote for Garnet's second design and Amethyst's first. The black string looks good, but transparent, idk. I feel like Amethyst would just go nude at that point. I also vote against moving her gem. Gives her character and a unique body type. The fact that you actually plan to make that into her story arc is miles above what most porn games would do and I love it. As a whole, I really love the art style here.

As for the minigame argument, I do think including them is important for pacing. Monster Girl Quest is my all time favorite hentai game for a reason, and it isn't just for including my favorite fetishes multiple times. I actually have fun with the battles and they are quite satisfying, you are totally right when you say a good hentai game needs to be an actual game.

Is it too transparent? Our goal is to make it transparent but not transparent enough for it to be basically naked. Imagine a see through cloth where you can see a bit of the outline of the nipples and pussy, but only if you pay enough attention. As I mentioned, even the swimsuit like that has a reason to be! Remember, Amethyst acts all tough, but she is actually quite frail on the inside!

Glad you like monster girl quest! I don't think I would ever try to implement turn based classic RPG to any game I make because it needs A LOT of work to be enjoyable, and I rather experiment with different styles of gameplay as well. I'm more of a platformer guy myself, and if one day I can have a big enough team and enough funds, I will definitively make games like Mega Man X or Castlevania Symphony of the Night, with lewd elements that wouldn't I terript the flow of the game, of course! Also, let me give you a recommendation, maybe you will like Hentasia: Rod of Power, it's very short, so give it a try!

Yup! It's a matter of escaling their sluttiness as you lower their inhibitions. The slutty swimsuits will require a high level of domination (that's why they won't be implemented for them to wear outside of the wardrobe gallery for now), it's the same reason why they can't walk around naked. At least not yet! Also, consider the normal ones are actually straight from the show, from the episode Beach Party. They weren't designed to be lewd.

As for Garnet, I think it suits her, but my original idea for the swimsuit was different. It was a simple V string swimsuit. Like those you see in hentai. We can just squeeze more lewd outfits that hopefully covers your taste better! Remember we have thematic outfits planned for future events, and this feedback sure is helpful to design the following optional outfits! (The regular swimsuits are unlocked through the story, but since the slutty ones are unlockable through other means, they are entirely optional!).

Personally, I want to make a lot of see through since I like the concept of showing barely enough to make you horny but not enough to be completely naked, so it's something I personally want to implement to other outfits!

Thanks mate! I'm glad to hear that. Yes! I want to implement a simple difficulty option that can be turned on and off whenever that would allow you to skip the mini-game. The gist is that the mini-game may give you a chance to do things even faster if you are good enough at it, so turning it off would be a trade, but ultimately both can be fast enough! The biggest reason I personally want to implement a mini-game is because I want to add boss fights, imagine fighting Peridot with her ball thingies or even Jasper! We mentioned some devlogs ago, but I wanted to add something like a Touhou game, something where you need to dodge and yet fire correctly to damage your opponent. Of course nothing near as crazy as Touhou levels of bullet hell, but something engaging.

As for pearl, sure! Let me see what ElFatGato thinks about it.



Just a general note considering these last couple of replies: I'm both amused and engaged with how different the opinions about these topics are. I'm very happy that people care enough about our game to form their own opinions! However, we are aware that trying to please everyone ultimately pleases no one.

We are aware that our choice to stick to the show's style can be very divisive, and that a some people don't like mini-games. However, we still want to continue with our original vision, and make changes of they are necessary or popular! That's why we are considering changing Amethyst breast. Even if it isn't a priority, it is something we want you to have a voice on, whether we stick with the original design or a different one in the future!

First of all, I sadly don't have a new hard drive, but I was losing my mind and decided to start the PC and do backups of everything I have just in case and restored a system backup as well. The PC was doing ok so I went back to work on the game right away, and man do I have a lot of things I want to show.



As you can see in the card, everything is actually already done art-wise! However, I lost a lot of time and 2 weeks' worth of work in the backup. But not everything is lost. Why? I wanted to change a couple of things in the first place and this gives me the opportunity to do so. I'm working as fast as possible, though, so in a month or so (including testing and the such, the update will be released. In these last couple of days, I worked hard to bring you a few things.

First, we already implemented the NPCs to the game. Again, they have no important role in the game. But hey, having more girls to potentially dominate sounds pretty good! Also, as a bit of a little teaser, when entering the wardrobe but not meeting the conditions to change their clothes yet, you will only see silhouettes. Hope you can see some surprises there!




Second, a quick look at the new clothes and a new clothing system, way more simple than the previous system, saving us a ton of time.



I want to make clear that the extra outfits, except for one, will be introduced in the next update. This for two reasons: First, we don't want to hold back this update anymore. Trust me, it's pretty massive as it is. Secondly, these outfits were thought for the next update, as mentioned. This is pretty good, though, this means the next update should be here quickly because most of the busy work is done and ElFatGato already has done a lot on the assets for the next update.

And lastly, speaking of the next update. Have a little bit of tease:

It was probably miscommunication between the uploaders and me. Sadly I think it's very late to change it now. This update is 0.0 because it was an Alpha, not a Beta. It has very little content and it serves as a demo to see what people wanted to see in the game or not and shift around my plans based on their reactions (but not enough to make it a completely different game.

As you can see by the road map, the next update is indeed 0.1


I hope that just by explaining it a bit by release date it should be enough to clarify, or in the developer notes section of the game.

I don't think ElFatGato is even human. He works at speeds that no man has seen before, and I'm sadly the one lagging behind, and that can't happen! As you can see, these are characters we are going to introduce for the next update. Who doesn't like MILFs? With the changes in the code, their introduction should be even easier than before. However, since I'm focusing on this update alone, this is something that will be for the next update.

The upside for this decision is that the next update assets are being worked on extremely fast already!

This post is more of a short update on what's going with the project. Even if there isn't a lot to be shown, we are still working to release the update, and it should be ready for a mid-next month, and the next update after that should be even faster/easier.

I guess I can take this post to mention it: We will be looking to recruit another team member for the next update. This update was mostly pushed back so much due to bad luck, but ElFatGato works so fast that I think I need either an extra writer or an extra coder to have things done faster, hopefully. But we need to finish this one first.

Other than that, yeah, I apologize because the delay is more on my part when this guy is already making giant women.

I also post more often on my discord since it's easier to make shorter updates as they come. If you are a patron, please ask me for the Discord roles, since there is some nice stuff for the White Caste over there!

personally id say goin for an extra coder would be the play, cause from what ive heard that job just gets harder as you go so having extra help now will give the person time to get used to workin with yall and how things go and stuff and will be a huuuge help later. meanwhile ading another writer does help but not nearly as much and its something your players like us can help with to an extent without spoiling too much, if that makes sense

It's complicated. Code can be easy if you have it done alright, if you know what you are doing you don't need to change a lot of things since it SHOULD be automized. However, managing the automatization can be a pain in the ass and things can break. As for writing, consider we are doing 2 routes, so I have to write twice as much, with an extra writer that could be divided in half for each! But we will see! I also want an extra coder because he could help me with the mini-game. Other than that, we would need a musician to help mixing some tracks and stuff.
