Hi,

I am trying to create a sandbox adult entertainment game, think Sims, but not "life sim" more narrative driven. The goal is to include massive amount of fetish content in a more free and custom experience.
The greatest inspiration for this project would be The Patriarch by Oranos .

I have no issue creating the game, or really any assets for the game, I simply know how time consuming it would be. (also I'm not the best at animation)

I was wondering if people had any advice for finding suitable assets, Characters, clothes and animations, for very little to no money, this project has no funding a practically nothing to show right now, and I'm really looking for assets for proper testing of systems.

If any one can provide any advice or help with this, that would be of great help.

It's difficult for sure. Main problem is that NSFW suitable assets are quite niche, so the quantity of cheap or free "base" assets you can modify to suit your needs is quite low. Sure there are some sites where you can grab some models, etc and cobble something together. This would be the advised way for prototyping I guess. If you want to go in full production of a polished product, you almost 100% certainly won't get around hiring/paying dedicated people to produce the assets you need.

I guess this is partly the reason why h games have stagnated the past decade, gameplay wise I mean. Because mainly artistically talented people pump out VNs where the main work load is producing rendered or drawn images (not trying to demean artists tho), people who can code intricate games are stuck with their ugly prototypes (I mean - pornography IS visual after all) and the low success of people teaming up and producing actually something is basically a law of nature.

Sorry but the landscape is quite barren in that regard, not much us code monkeys can change about that.

I'm not grumpy, I'm just coded that way.

In parallel, the quantity of bad, or ridiculous, assets is high, because everything is good to take when the choice is limited.
While I'll not advice to pirate all the assets, using the pirated ones available here (and in some other places) to at least have the time to test them and see it they aren't bugged or don't looks too ridiculous once in context, is a good way to filter what can be used and what is really too bad. Of course, most stores have a refund policy, but it would quickly become suspicious if you pass your time buying assets then asking for a refund. This while you would have to try them too quickly in order to not be too late for a refund.
The best example is probably the genitalia assets. It need time to find the one you prefer and feel the most at ease with, too much time in regard of the refund period. With pirated assets, you can get them all, take all the time you want to try them and compare them, then you buy the one that you'll finally use.
