General question about Ren'py "auto"

I've noticed some Ren'py games have the "auto" function in the on-screen menu and some don't (most of those just have no on-screen menu), so my question is - is there a way to enable auto mode in some other way (perhaps by keyboard)?

I tried to look for threads regarding that bat was unable to find any. I don't mean "skip" mode.

have done a quick google and come up with this it would appear that you have to program it into renpy (Warning no guarentee it will play nice with the game you are trying to auto)

I Do Not Use Renpy So No guarentees it will work found it on the renpy wikki which is out of date now

First of all - thanks, appreciate the effort!
Though were do I put it, in the in-game console (shift+o)?

You wouldn't be able to do in in shift O console you would need a text editor like note pad or Geany then sift through the files to find what you are looking for haven't got time this evening but will look through renpy forums tomorrow see what info i can glean o have a scout around for yourself
