Man come on, what kind of trade is that? She manipulates this people making them think she really is a goddess and that after they are eaten by her, they will go to some kind of paradise or bulshit like that. Sure, she isn't a cold sadistic bitch like Yakuu but still I don't like her 1 bit
She did not manipulate anyone, everything was initially started by her own subordinates. Of course she is not going to correct them because she feels even more powerful and cherished when treated like a godess.
Also, she clarified that she is able to keep the souls of those who eats, who are all reunited together. She did not explain much, but it could be something similar to being in a pocket dimension or something.

All hail godess Pyeka! The snake-girl cult will prevail!

I don't think she's a goddess, else the more powerful Queen would easily be one. Eliette (who is a deity reincarnated as a mortal giantess) doesn't refer to herself as one, implying she lost at least some power, and Pyeka's feats are on par with Eliette's, if not lower than her (something something purification army).

Besides, Pyeka's evidence of being one is everyone worshipping her in her kingdom, which has happened IRL to many (not so divine) monarchs across the world. Trapping souls is something Nyxmay (and probably Makla) could do, and controlling stomach acidity isn't a huge deal either. Her feats are subpar for a goddess, and we only have her word which, given her recent updates of manipulating things from the shadows for her own ends, isn't really trustworthy either.

If anything she seems like a spoiled rich kid who created a cult of personality and believes in it herself.

Yeah because being trap inside a giantess in form of a soul sounds like an attractive idea, I would say that is like hell itself

I know that, she does not actually believe she is a godess (neither do I), but she likes and wants to be treated like one, at least by her followers and our snake-girl cult <3

It actually is an atractive idea to her cultists, since they think they will simply vanish when they die. So being inside Pyeka they will not vanish and be along all the cultists.
For you and me it can be hell, but keep in mind that we are not facing normal humans.

I think I remember Eliette saying that once you die your soul goes back to the circle of life and you reincarnate, obviously as another person and without memories of your past life.

She doesn’t say that I believe.. the Reincarnation part…

She says a soul should go to the afterlife without specifying what said afterlife is, I think. But if it's possible for deities to become mortal like her, or for Vai'Klis to exist, the afterlife could be some form of reincarnation. Soul magic and necromancy is manipulating said reincarnation of a soul.

That being said, I believe Regina mentions that the dead go back to nature, a more animistic view where reincarnation could still exist (reincarnate as a tree, for instance), but souls are also present in the very earth that people walk upon.

It’s all hypothetical/speculation at that point, I’m referring to what he said… in which Eliette never answers what happens after an individual dies… furthermore, Eliette didn’t reincarnate, she incarnated from A celestial body (which isn’t physical) down into the material realm, retaining her memories… that’s the reason why she’s clumsy, because she’s not use to having a physical form in the first place… She also doesn’t understand the in and outs of everyone’s emotions, which might be one of the reasons why she was part of the purification armies… and Vaikliss is bounded to a specific plane of land which has a high density of dark mana… when she died, her soul wasn’t able to leave the material plane because Nyxmay bonded her soul back into her lifeless body, which like you said is some sort of necromancy/manipulation but definitely not some kinda reincarnation

True, but it raises some questions. For one, souls don't disappear and annihilate themselves after death of the body, so what happens to them? Eliette came from an entirely different plane of existence, so it's possible that real heaven and hell exist in this world and souls go there. But animism - that the ancestors' souls are still present in nature and guide the living - could also be possible due to the beliefs of people in Viridice and Lycalis. These are all beliefs, tho.

Oh I agree there’s a heaven and Hell… Eliette came down from the Actual heavenly plane (Heaven) so it wouldn’t surprise me as well… one of my theories actually is that the “Void” goddess is the mysterious Entity in the beginning and is watching the Mc… Goddesses can’t manifest in the physical world.. so…. That’s one of my theories

Eliette is an angel, not a deity.

What happened with kemono? There hasn't been any uploads there for a while, not just of this comic but of all other giantess artists.
