I don't think the interest point indicate whether a character will get a route or not. Mel's interest points were used to trigger additional dialogue for example and she's almost certainly not getting a route. Makla also got a route without having any interest points beforehand. I think they just add them to future-proof people's saves.
Unique CG's are a much bigger indicator of route potential. Both the Twins and Helga have had multiple scenes with the MC so they're obviously going to have their own routes sooner or later.

But really, I wish they'd add at least one Lycalis and one Viridice route, both of the kingdoms have 2 routes each currently and all of them are the guardian routes, so a change of perspective would be great. If Homaspernia can have....checks notes 6 routes, surely the kingdoms with the least routes need some more love. Some of the longest (and arguably the best) side stories are from these kingdoms, so clearly there's demand for monstergirl giantesses.

I'm not too sure. There's points for Ruvna and Shikali, Gemini gems, Helga, etc etc... if ALL the characters with interest counters will be potential LI paths, then yeah. They'll be writing this from their graves.

I don't see the reason for outright relationship points instead of just a flag for the character's path you're on if that's not the intent. We still have the water kingdom to supposedly do, and I think some are forgetting there's some hinting of some divergent path with whatever Pyeka's empress/goddess path will lead to in her desert homeland.... and now Yakuu with the oni homeland?

Content creep is out of control even if you pretend not to think about that. I'm all for more giant waifu VN content, but man.... plus Nezumicon is a thing pulling a bit of their time. I'm probably being hypocritical as I'd likely be bummed if/when the game ends to be honest though.

(Also, I want to see a massive kraken woman eat ships with people on it and raid coastal towns in her dark/evil sea monster path)

I think nezumicon will always be a side hustle for the devs and it's obvious. Even if the devs finish GG, it's not like Nezumicon will be the new main projecct, they will probably just make something closer to GG's theme (aka less a slice of life and more of an actual big story) and have it be the main project. So if they ever have to prioritize one over the other, it will always be GG.
