Yes and no. I was just highlighting the lack of development of the possible relationship between MC and Maryen. As well as the fact that there is no logical reason for the lack of continuation of the content with feet.
Most likely, it is just a shortcoming of the developers.
As for Maryen, I think the reason is that she was freed from the authoritarian influence of her mother after her death. Therefore, the previous training and suppression of Maryen's true nature is gradually destroyed. Maryen is freed. The reasons she didn't kill him instantly were a) a troll Maryen, b) because if choosing the right dialogues, MC says things that she enjoyed hearing, about how guardians are failures, and that he doesn't know about the Queen (which I'm not sure what means to her). If you act all tough and heroic, but then ask to be with Kendra, she will actually just kill you using Maryen's hands.

On the contrary of being biased, I try to see things as clear as possible, and there is nothing else Kendra shows as clear about herself as the opinion about normal sized people and a value of their lives, which to clarify is 0 for her.

That isn't true. Timfalme's laws require treating them as equal, Viridice and Keisiema I think just managed to create an equal coexistence without law enforcement and Lycalis is too wild to care about those things. The only place where normal sized people can be treated as inferior beings is Homaspernia, and still, you can't just go on a rampage there, rightful citizens are protected by laws, even though they are corrupt.

Plot shield being masked as luck or something else doesn't make it not plot shield. What you put there would just be an utterly extreme case of plot shielding. Instead, MC is just lucky. It's not the actions that saved him from Kendra (except for going for a walk lol), but the turn of events. MC was lucky to wake up right during the attack, MC was lucky to hide for long enough before the most victims are already dead, while he could've been one of them, MC was lucky to be tested with questions before being used to blackmail Maryen into something. It's all luck that was needed for the story to go forward. It is in fact a plot shield.

Hey now, let's not blindly call her authoritarian. Maryen's mom was very entitled to her religion, yes, but that's pretty much all we can tell for now. Also Maryen and Kendra don't look like child abuse victims, Maryen is not hyper-dominant or hyper-submissive, which usually follows being in a toxic family environment, and Kendra is just stuck in a rebellious teenager phase, probably forever.

We know a general opinion from around 20 different giant characters from different kingdoms, and most of them don't see MC as something inferior. They do understand their difference, they do sometimes use their advantages, but it doesn't go too far as to building some sort of social leveling.

The PROTAGONIST has ZERO PLOT SHIELD. NONE. He dies SIXTY TIMES over during the events of the game. The one village that lets him rest gets ATTACKED THE NEXT DAY by a HOMEPERMIAN ASSHOLE who flatten his house FIRST.
IF he somehow escapes that, he IMMEDIATELY dives FACE-FIRST into the LARGEST MAN EATING VENUS PLANT on the planet. IF NOT, he runs into the BEST HUNTRESS ON THE CONTINENT, who REALLY LOVES HUMAN MEAT IN EVERY POSSIBLE SENSE.
And when it seems like salvation arrives, when a Guardians finally show up, he gets THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN’T EVEN LAND A HIT ON KENDRA because it’s HER SPECIAL LITTLE SISTER .

If Kendra captures him, he's trafficked to a woman who sleeps in a bed made from the corpses of slaves who failed her, or to what is possibly the greatest sadist on earth. It's a miracle he manages to live at all.
