Because the laws of our worlds drastically differ: the giantesses' weakness is magic and no amount of traditional physical weapons is likely to penetrate that. It's like saying traditional weaponry can beat Titans in AoT (it didn't, the Titans just regened through it), or Giant Great Apes in DBZ (traditional weapons are a joke to 99% of the DBZ cast); and that's only on the defensive side. On the offensive side, the giantesses are likely capable of WMD capabilities thanks to their magical abilities (the reason we don't get to see Regina and Naya go all out that is because it would lead to an insurmountable death toll).

Now unless you're stripping them of pretty much everything that makes them strong and basically turning them into "big humans" (as Kendra says), there's pretty much no way in hell I see modern conventional weaponry working against them.
So you're appealing to the laws of the world now.
Well, since our world doesn't have magic, all giantesses will get crushed by their own weight, since there's no magic to support their mass anymore.
Game over for any fantasy shit that needs magic to live. :KEK:

And what the fuck do you mean about AoT!?!? What do you think happens when scouts use their metal swords to kill titans!? It's the most basic "Sword cuts the flesh!" principle that follows laws of physics.
Also, they use regular ass 150mm artillery guns with armor piercing shells to kill titans in the manga AND anime (seriously, it's not magic they just try to aim it at the nape, just like scouts use their swords).
It feels ridiculous that I even need to point that out.

Don't even bring DBZ into this. It's a literary equivalent of two kids in the sandbox arguing who's toy is the strongest in the world. "My toy is the super-mega-giga-jiga-troglo-God, and he can destroy all universes immediately!!!!1one!"

I mean yes. That's what I said you want to do: you're basically stripping them of everything that makes them these almighty figures and turning them into big humans basically (which is unlikely to work out based on this world's physics and evolutionary biology), which is a pointless argument to have.

Scouts exploit the Titan's weakness which is their nape. Just, as you guessed it, magic is the weakness of giantesses; deploying physical weaponry against them is unlikely to do any significant damage as we've seen. Indiscriminately bombing or striking Titans does nothing to them: the strike needs to discriminately hit its target, hence the power of the weapon used doesn't matter as long as it hits the nape, what matters is the weakness.

Don't even bring DBZ into this. It's a literary equivalent of two kids in the sandbox arguing who's toy is the strongest in the world. "My toy is the super-mega-giga-jiga-troglo-God, and he can destroy all universes immediately!!!!1one!"
I'm using works that most people are familiar with to illustrate why trying to "conventional military" out of fantasy works is generally a fool's endeavor, considering said armies are used as cannon fodder and are rarely a threat to anyone with any modicum of fantasy powers. You can pretty much just google any battle shounen and see how "useful" said conventional militaries are.

believe me I would love these ladies in real world bu c'mon thats never gonna happen... thats why we have thes forums and devs who make this at least a bit "real"
if these ladies exist in real life they'll just be kept in secret government facilities no way us basement dwellers will have a shot at them

Oh I did and I already have one:
Gate Anime.png

I think this one is the most famous example, aside from maby also Drifters.
But my point is - you're giving too much credit to fantasy bozos, while downplaying IRL humans too much at the same time. Be it an elf or a dragon, flesh is still flesh, no matter how much "Muh magic!" arguments you try to make.

Also, you appear to not realize how physics work. Everything, from a simple punch to a super-sonic missile relies on the same physics law:
F = ma
Which makes all those movie scenes where people drop guns in favour of throwing hands all that more idiotic.

And once again, what the fuck is even your point with AoT? Marley literally use normal artillery and other conventional weapons to kill titans, they don't have scouts. And they had won, confining eldians to one small island.
If Eren didn't pull rumbling out of his ass, nothing would have changed.

And there are just as many works where authors do know how physics work, and in which guns and technology are at the very top of the power pyramid.
So it all comes down to reviewing each work at a case by case scenario.

I'm gonna respond one last time because as I said it's pointless to argue this: it's like arguing what if Superman had no superpowers?

1. Gate is widely considered to be JSDF propaganda, of course they're going to portray the military, Japanese especially, as powerful and benevolent. In the anime itself you can see the portrayal of foreign militaries as opportunistic and scheming while only the JSDF is conveniently oprating in good faith while also rejecting any calls for coalition from foreign militaries.

2. I never said there are no fantasy works where the military plays a role, just that in the absolute vast majority of them they are cannon fodder that can barely do anything against superhumans and in fact regularly require said superhumans to be working with them to be considered strong in any capacity.

I never talked about physics in any capacity in this conversation. I said giants/titans in general are not a feature of our world, and there's probably a scientific reason for that (either physics or biology).

And once again, what the fuck is even your point with AoT? Marley literally use normal artillery and other conventional weapons to kill titans, they don't have scouts. And they had won, confining eldians to one small island.
If Eren didn't pull rumbling out of his ass, nothing would have changed.
...That's not why Marley won... they won because:

1. The Eldian Empire was in a civil war where their false king (Fritz) failed to unify them and the noble familes of the 9 titans got pogressively more antagonistic towards his pacifist stance.

2. Speaking of asspulling: one of the main reasons why the Eldian Empire was overthrown was because, for an unexplainable reason, 7 of the 9 titan families joined Marley. That's like arguing Superman is weak and easily beatable while having the rest of the Justice League fighting for you.

3. Fritz was as inept as they come: he wanted to isolate the Eldian empire from the rest of the world while reaping the benefits of being a hegemon. He, for the most part, collapsed the empire from within.

Square-cube law, my beloved.
Giant humans are impossible because retaining the same body and muscle structure would result in the body crumbling under its own increased weight. And I mean whole body, not just bones breaking, most organs would rupture unable to maintain increased volume.
Also, if the heart stays relatively at the same spot where it is in a normal human - it'll really struggle to supply blood to the brain due to increased distance.
And we haven't even touched the increased heat production and decreased heat dissipation, that would result in their blood and organs starting to boil from any significant physical exertion.

Which means the whole creature needs to be restructured and rebuilt from scratch, if we want it to survive. Which, in turn, completely defeats the assumption that it would be a giant human.

And you only have to take one look at Sultan Kösen to understand that just at 8 feet tall there are already whole piles of health issues.
Guy literally can't even walk without a crutch or a walking stick. His leg bones break under his own weight.

I can hypothesize how they'd fare against modern weapons: Poorly.

They're essentially titanic armored fortresses, that would need to be at least 30 to 40 times stronger than high performance concrete just to support their own movement. They’ve fought wars against other giants capable of hurling things like freight ships, and survive that. Within the game context, they’re functionally immortal against humans... until we bring modern weapons into the equation.

Kendra can shrug off RPGs like raindrops, but even she’s going to stop laughing when a 400 m/s
GBU-57A/B Massive Ordinance Penetrator hits her in the eye.

That’s a 13,600 kg (30,000 lb) bunker buster, traveling at supersonic speed, specifically engineered to penetrate over 60 meters of reinforced bunker concrete. Can’t dodge it, and can’t survive a direct hit.

A 60 mm long-rod penetrator (that’s another very pornographic name) is essentially a depleted uranium dart traveling at 1,600 m/s. It’ll go straight through her head. One ear in, the other out, likely bisecting all five neurons that guide her around.

And if nothing else works, it’s time to dust off some

B61 SINGLE TARGET TACTICAL NUCLEAR BOMBS, a $28 million missile that CANNOT be survived if you are made of matter. Directly in her mouth.
