A link to this mod should definitely be added to the "Extras" category on the main page of this thread, among other links related to this game.
I checked it out, I liked it. Funny indicator of perversion, by the way. Haven't noticed any technical problems yet.
Unlike the outdated mod, which is now linked to on the main page. The mod is not only out of date, but also breaks the game.

It looks like it's going to be a looooooong night, right?
Are they developing this game in their spare time or is Giant Guardians their full-time job?
They double dip now, they're doing GG and Nezumicon. As far as I'm aware it's their main job- I did the math once and they definitely make enough to live off of with just GG alone.
I mean it's obiously full time, let's not be ridiculous. bi-weekly updates is still a lot of content if you tally it up, that's a couple of hours of content every few months (which is the standard time per update for most games here).

Maybe. I don't know much about it. I usually don't get involved with such games that have the "ongoing" status. So this is more of an exception. Mainly because of the setting. I was really curious to see how this would be implemented.
I don't know what the developers have plans for, but in my opinion, Giant Guardians can be developed for at least another five years without trying to release updates in too small portions. Even if we imagine that there will be no more new routes (I doubt that there won't be).

The plan is to reach 1.0 (rn is 0.4, so about 40% of the way there), which is basically the full release of the game and thus putting it up on platforms like Steam. That's how every dev releases their game. However, the GG devs also said they will add bonus content even after the full release of the game so... yeah
Also, the artist for nezumicon is not the same as the one here. So it's not really "the same devs" they just share the same coder/co-writer.

I don't think this is 40% done tbh. No route looks anywhere near done, well maybe Margarita's route (i'd still give her 7-9 updates). But aside from that, not really.

And i think steam would earn them way less than patreon this is still a VN for a niche fetish.

This GTS vn that just came out recently made 147k in revenue. Patreon is a good way to allow devs to go full time and focus on their game, but selling on steam is still the best way to monetize your game.

Well this game had some "hype" behind it, not to mention a difference in quality atleast from what i've heard. + it's the shrunken guy + normal sized girl which is honestly more popular than the main fetish. And it's not a nsfw game (i think)
Wrong, the main girl can control anyone's size. In one of the endings she turns herself and the mc into giants to destroy the world.
Not really, there wasn't that much hype. It's still a pretty niche game, it's also very short and fairly overpriced for how short it is.
Regardless, there's pretty much 0 reason to not publish on steam, even the worst flops make at minimum 40k in revenue.
