The variable has that interaction labeled as "joke" in spanish, also if you laugh along it gives you +1 interest point with Orphelith. As for whether it actually is a joke or not, it's not 100% confirmed.

There are lots of foreshadowing and hints presented by the game about their species. Which serves as a solid foundation for theorycrafting.
Meanwhile blood donations never been mentioned or implied even once. Because you pulled it out of your ass.

I mentioned earlier that, personally I think, at least partially this is blood of other giantesses, like Cygnia and maybe royal guards like Helga. If all of it was from normal-sized humans, hundreds of them would need to be sacrificed for each such glass.
