    Here is a review for version 0 8 8 6
I've been playing this game since release. The game has gotten better in recent years.
In theory, we have a girl's life simulator
As a guy, I'm interested in how girls live and stay in their body
I will say right away that being a girl is terrible and beautiful.
They can do anything with a girl, including rape, harassment. And that is why many men want a Boy.
For such girls, this is a trauma. They constantly want to get acquainted and they are not embarrassed that, for example, you are 14 ..
ok on the game i like the cheat menu
I have installed and uninstalled this game many times.
KevinSMART I think is in the top 3 in coding, game programming. It's not just to create a code, you need it to work well in the game and develop the plot in an interesting way
There is no such thing as a plot here. This sandbox. Here is a life simulator and do what you want. I have played in different ways. I played a YEAR of game time and I liked the fact that there are holidays here both in Russia and the CIS countries. May 9, Russian flag day, etc.
This game is definitely 5 stars, many write here you need to grind, but lol, there is a cheat menu, for whom it was created, pumped everything to the maximum and play. We need cases here in randomness, when the skill needs to be set to 0, so that the mini-plot advances
There is a quest log here, following them you can learn about the characters in the game. No game of this genre can beat this game. Because there is a deliberate, thoughtful, logical consequence of your decisions and actions that affects the entire environment and the reaction of the characters in the world. There are really rare events here that you need to click and set the time back for it to work. Personally, I don’t really like how the wardrobe looks in the game, the closet, it was better in the old releases. And so everything is good in the game. There is also an institute here, but not 100% completed. I recommend

Like pointed out by others before me, the start is kinda rough, at least for newcomers. It is a game that has very little gameplay related information at the start, it feels very much like a sink or swim situation.

Once you do manage to get over the starting hurdle however and start experimenting, creating alternate saves to explore the many paths the game has to offer, you'll very quickly notice how vast this game is. For a not 1.0, this game is huge. It is the game in which I have sunk the most time out of all the games on this website and I still feel like I haven't seen everything because new choices present themselves every time I do something new and different.

The discord of the game is very lively, lots of helpful people there and lots of helpful information potentially even in pinned comments!

It is a game which is worth of exploring, but do not expect a linear game here. This is mostly a sandbox type deal where you are the master of your own fate.

The writing is good, a lot of the content is nicely fleshed out, when updates roll out, a lot of connecting events and/or characters are taken into consideration.
The visual support of the game is great as well, it makes for a good experience and the images are nicely curated and normalized to reflect the atmosphere of either the game as a whole or the situation you find yourself in in-game.

Overall an excellent game which hopefully will get some sort of good intro to help new players instead of pushing them off into the deep end without a lifejacket.

Skybarbie also left an excellent review on this worth reading. I'll second their opinion that the game could use some more options for being independent and confident.

4/5 Stars - Incredibly detailed life simulator that's only held back by the lack of communication regarding where sexual content can be found. You'll know if it's for you pretty quickly.

Girl Life (GL) is hard to review. It neighbors games like Whoremaster, Slavetrainer3, Hentai High School+, and Free Cities, all of which are simulation-heavy training/corruption games. Girl Life is more balanced on the game to porn content ratio, at least once you get a couple hours in, but it requires the same level of attention if you don't want to screw over your playthrough. It also has a lot of the same corruption systems in place even if the person you're corrupting is your own character.

But while those simulation games typically have overt goals, GL is an open world experience. You can play the game simply going to school, doing homework, eating, exercising, showering, working, etc. etc. basically forever. If you want to see real pornographic content then you have to go seek it out, which is both GLs strength and weakness.

Incest is hit-or-miss, but bear with me - you can have a sexual relationship with your sister within a few weeks in-game. You share a room with your sister, she's present and available to speak in the mornings and evenings. The path for her sex content is one of the simplest ones in the game... and yet it's still easy to miss if you don't go looking for it. There are lots of characters, events, and features that are entirely invisible unless you know specifically how to start and complete some requisite chain of actions, and without a good guide - and there really isn't one, even the wiki has issues - you're probably going to get lost.

And yet... the open world is also the best part about it. The most important aspect to a good sex story is the context. Emotional connections and taboos are the most important turn-ons in 99% of cases - think of the millions of videos of dudes banging busty chicks that you just gloss over on porn sites, compared to that one video that speaks to some kink you have or the acting or story is genuinely not that bad. Casting couch, fake taxi, the massive rise in popularity of incest porn, even celebrity sex tapes, all of these dominate attention because they provide some kind of context to what is otherwise indistinguishable from garbage videos of some chick getting painted with nut.

In Girl's Life, the story is whatever you decide it is. Obviously you have limits based on what the game allows, but the star of the show is your character. You can have a fall from grace and turn into a street whore, you can become an academic nudist, you can bang literally every woman that moves in the city, you can extract gallons of jizz from your poor brother, and all of this is happening with a backdrop of one of the most autistically detailed life simulators ever made. The Sims doesn't have shit on Girl's Life. Most open world porn games give you "time stages," and you have to manage an energy bar. Girl's Life has you moving minute by minute and asks if you remembered to wash your makeup off before you went to sleep. The mundanity of the basic is what enhances the appeal of the extraordinary, and provided you are the type that doesn't mind playing day after day after day of Russian life simulator, the sex content is elevated far beyond what you'll find in most games in the genre.

Frankly, I think you'll know if you're the type that will enjoy it based on the first hour of gameplay. It's niche, and IMO it's better for it.

The porn is generic, but passable. There's plenty of content, including alternative starting scenarios. You can set out all kinds of goals for yourself. The menus, if you take the time to learn them, work great. There's a cheat/debug menu that can take some of the tedium out if you want to tune your experience. Girl's Life has had a lot of work put into it, and it really shows. I think it deserves more recognition, but I completely understand why some people can't get into it.

Horrible engine, horrible music, depressing visuals, completely aimless sandbox UI and plotline. No idea what to do or where to go but after going to a few locations, I'm all set. Each one more depressing than the last. How in the world does this have 4+stars?

In theory, a lot of content. In practice, there is no path other than a slut or an empty doll. At the moment (0.8.7.4) "Bitch Life". To "Girl Life" long way. Great initial impression. And a big disappointment. Everything pushes in one direction.

Phenomenal game! Like an Eminem song :) Huge freedom of action! You can do EVERYTHING! Yes, the appearance is not very, but the content! Five stars, definitely!

I look forward to continuing and adding content! I spent three days on the game! Three! This is a record!

Girl Life is the most popular QSP game on this site. It is also one of the best QSP games you'll find here.

Girl Life has been in development for over 5 years now with an entire team working on it.

It is a solid (very slow burn) sandbox game, however it isn't without it's flaws...

FYI - You'll see a lot of one and two star reviews for this game. QSP games are the opposite of visual novels that most players are used to. Most QSP games are slow burn sandbox games. Players who aren't used to this 'very different' playstyle may not like it, hence the one and two star reviews. QSP games have more of a niche following and don't get near the attention that the visual novels get for obvious reasons. Many players don't like to have to 'work' for their porn (they just want to be entertained and visual novels fit that mold perfectly).

    Cons/Complaints

Lots of devs working on new content but little testing is going on. The community is the testing team. Far too many devs who assume that their code works without performing a comprehensive test on it. I've worked for two different software development companies and can see this clearly. Everyone wants to code and few want to test. Developers should probably be required to test other developer's code to ensure it works before release.

Far too many bugs for a game that has been in development for over 5 years with a whole team working on it. The reason for this is due to the point above.

Game is still using many of the original images and videos that are poor quality. It makes the game feel low quality and cheap far too frequently! I would throw 50% of the current images and 75% of the current videos in the garbage and create better quality content. Yes, the game's file size is kept small, but you pay for that in what you see.

What really needs to happen is a complete overhaul of all old content with a freeze on new features until it has been completed. This would take roughly a year to complete but won't happen since players always want new features. New features are constantly being added on a very old base.

Why is there still machine translated text in a game that has been in development for over 5 years? Roughly 15% of the game text is still rough/poor English.

Character stats decrease too quickly and I find myself having to use cheats frequently to continue my day.

The QSP file size is huge compared to most QSP games on this site, however the game feels empty at times. You have to read a wiki or the code to find 4/5ths of the content. Leaving a game to find out how to play the game means the game is flawed. Breadcrumbs leading to quests and new triggers shouldn't be missing in a game with so many devs.

After looking at the code, far too many events have requirements that border on insanity! The chances on getting these events is highly unlikely if playing normally (not resorting to a wiki or reading the code). Many events in the game need to have more relaxed requirements to trigger!

There is simply too much content that hinges on being at the right place at the right time and doing the right things.

The game assumes that you are a vulnerable young girl that isn't capable of defending herself. There is virtually NO content if you wish to play a strong and capable female (only the succubus path offers some of this). You are given no options to defend yourself if being raped in nearly every case, you just have to go along with it. Even mid to late game with excellent stats and combat skills you are still the vulnerable young girl you started the game as.

Quest Log needs to be greatly expanded! It needs to include all quests with the requirements to start them. This would make the game so much better! Yes, this would be a huge amount of work but it desperately needs to be done!

Yes, there is plenty of grind in the game but it is somewhat manageable with cheats and editing the code myself. If you hate grind, then you should look elsewhere!

    Conclusion

Girl Life is a fun game to play but is hindered by old content and the lack of a comprehensive quest log/journal. The releases also have poor quality control which results in an above average amount of bugs.

I am still actively playing this game and enjoy it!

If you enjoy slow burn sandbox games then I recommend giving this game a try!

tl;dr : ridiculously grindy, laborious, labyrinthine waste of time imo

This game is quite popular so I expect some pushback, but it needs to be said for anyone considering trying Girl Life :

    1. Grindy : this game attempts to simulate entire years of the titular Girl character's life, down to *minutes*. I’m not kidding here. We’re talking minutes stretching into days stretching into months and so on. At the default settings, expect to be living through days and weeks of repetitive incremental “realistic” progress on tasks and skill-building. Usually there’s an expectation that games go for an illusion of realism while prioritizing escapism and entertainment value. Not so here, no sir. Only painstaking, maniacal repetitions of tasks over hours of playtime will yield any hints of progress.
    2. Laborious : “so what! the game is slow, it’s more realistic that way!” Even hardcore realism-lovers will stand in awe at the amount of bland, repetitive, “realistic” micro-tasks this game expects you to keep track off. And execute. Every. Single. Day. Applying deodorant. Filling your water bottle. Eating your school lunch. Eating some other different lunch. Forgetting to remove your false eyelashes before going to sleep. Getting up. Doing push-ups. IRL hours of play time disappear down rabbit holes of interminably clicking this or that line of text to move, eat, move, open wardrobe, shower, move, and so on. It borders on parody, or the gaming-equivalent of hell.
    3. Labyrinthine : “what about the characters, the story? what are the other reviewers talking about?” To that I say : ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Based on the content I managed to find, everything is repetitive 1 or 2 lines of dialogue per character per relationship level, with hints of time- and place-specific encounters or “quests” to be found in the world. The problem here is that the game is so large and so fine-scaled (down to minutes!!) that finding events on your own without cheating is very, very rare. The rest of the content is disconnected randomized stuff having very little to do with the rest of the game, and almost never reflecting any of your skills, traits, outfits, etc. In fact, almost no element of the Girl’s stats or appearance really matters at the end of the day.
    4. Waste of time : That last point really hammers it home for me. All this furious clicking and building of endless stats and skills and infinitesimal details of the character's looks, all of it has very little to do with who/what you’re actually encountering in Girl Life. All this useless busywork could be taken out entirely and the game could instead focus on the few actual characters events and quests, and some of the less ridiculous random encounters (provided those are properly integrated with the rest of the game).
Coda : As a last resort I’ve tried setting the game to easy and turning off a lot of stuff in the cheat menu. The game certainly isn’t the worse for it, on the contrary, but the failure in game design becomes more obvious. Even cheating in all the money and stats in the world, I still need to click nearly a dozen prompts just in order to get up in the morning, get dressed, and go to school. All of it to be repeated ad nauseam the next day, week, month. And for what?

This is one large repository of different character and scenes with those characters, all tied together in a loose universe where people go about their normal life routines, and as you do, you uncover not only their personality, motivations, but above all else - their sexual desires.

I cannot overstate just how amazingly broad this game is. So many characters, a detailed clothing system, multiple occupations. Truly as close to a life sim as one can get, all with well-picked explicit media. Everything you do feels impactful. Best of all, if you don't like grinding - just turn it off via the cheat menu.

All in all, just like the original ETO, this successor game did not disappoint and truly delivers a memorable experience. I actually played for the story trying to unearth the different side quests for a number of characters, to the point where the x scenes became icing on the cake.

    A masterpiece.

    Little your dream

I have been playing this game since the release of the first version. Over the years of the project, this game has improved in everything. I know it takes years to come up with an idea, quests, interesting dialogues, etc. Many reviews here are 90% positive. And it really is. After all, there is nothing bad to say about the game, except that it becomes a little boring. As soon as the game began to attract attention, so immediately on the engine QSP They started making clones or plagiarisms. But they seem to have their own idea.
But the bottom line is that playing primarily in GIRL LIFE
I'm not particularly interested in what people have come up with in other projects. Yes, I have played other games and if you compare those games and this one . You can say exactly what GIRL LIFE has more pluses and is a real girl simulator.
    Here are the Pros:
I have played this game for many hours and this game really immerses you in your virtual world.
The sandbox is made on - super.
There are cheats for exploring the world for both beginners and experienced players.
clothes mechanics, other effects, all this affects the reaction of others NPC
and many more features in the game

I didn't find any cons. Sometimes pictures are not displayed. But this is nonsense.
The cons are just written by haters and people who were paid to write a negative review about the game : D

Depending on your approach this can be a great game, but it has some serious flaws.

    The Good:
--There is a lot of content here. A lot of places to go and people to interact with. Multiple paths, and starting points, plenty of jobs to earn money, and you can upgrade your character to gain access to new jobs and new content. --There are a lot of flavor paths for the character. Good girl, goth, slut, nerd, jock, delinquent, etc
--lots of sexual content to randomly discover
--If you love sandbox games where you just randomly corrupt your character or have sex this game deserves a 5-star rating. Choose a start point that allows that to happen. There really is a lot of content.

    The bad:
It's REALLY grindy and too random
If you want to go down a particular character's path you need guidance, such as a playthrough available at one of the fan wikis or just get lucky. It's too random and the quest log is hard to find and hard to use. It doesn't update a lot of the time.

There is simply too much content that hinges on being at the right place at the right time and doing the right things.

There are also a lot of really frustrating mechanics for a game that has been in development this long. Here are some examples

    1) I can't use the gym clothes that are in inventory at the beginning of the game unless/until my inhibition is 70 and I can't buy more modest sportswear anywhere in Pavlovsk. School outfits, maid outfits, etc. no problem; sportswear???
    2) The wardrobe system is confusing and hard to use.
    3) Want makeup at the market? Once you find it, you only randomly run across it. I mean seriously, how big is the market that it takes 20 tries to run across it randomly. Same w/vitamins, lip balm, etc. Yes, you can buy these other places but why should the cheaper versions be this hard to find? The book and porn stalls become permanent once you find them, why not others?
    4) If you find the quest log it does have people and potential paths available but you have to actually interact with the person in a certain way to start certain paths, others don't get added to the quest system and it's not clear in the game it needs to be done. The entire system of random events gets really frustrating after a while.
Examples: Anya will tell you about her boyfriend, but if you forget when you could meet him it only comes up randomly and rarely again. You can use the note section but you have to know that it exists and remember to use it. You can also help Lena and Lera with schoolwork. The start of the Niko path happens randomly but isn't in the quest log.

None of these events or characters are added to the quest log, even though there are later events with both. But, once again you have to interact with them in the RIGHT way to get the events. It's like playing DnD without a game master to remind you of the importance of certain random events and how to discover content related to those random encounters.

    5) Access to certain content doesn't make sense depending on the path you choose. Playing the Good girl, you can still get the limo event with the girls, even tho a good girl would be hesitant to climb into the limo. I got this event randomly early on and I haven't run across it since even tho I played several weeks of game time

The best female character themed game I've ever seen.
It definitely has a lot of details and is almost a real woman life simulation.
I want to thank you for this good work, also the game is getting a great expansion along with other mods from the game's wiki page. If you have downloaded this game, I would say do not leave without trying the mods.
Installing mods is simpler than installing the game :D
So do not get tired and definitely try the mods.
I hope one day I can see the text "It's over" next to the "Girl Life" text.
Because it's a game that's too good to be abandoned.
Thank you and congratulations again and again. :) :) :)

1st try on a QSP game & really impressed! Good writing and pictures etc. I like that you can play as a good (ish) MC or a complete slut or anywhere in between.

Personally I also love the points system and the fact that you can exclude stuff you don't want (for me rape and incest is excluded always).

The game is set in Russia near St Petersburg & there's nice touches by adding non-fluff stuff which adds to the flavour. Again from a personal point of view I really enjoy the option to train to be an athlete and do glamour photography whilst having a b/f and/or g/f. Other options include chess, volleyball, football, dancer & many others depending on the type of character you coose to start with & you can play a guitar and sing. Not all characters are L/Is and it's fun interacting and seeing where things go (a bit like R/L). This gives the player the opportunity to have some input (empathy) in the MC, which is very unusual.

Long play time so if you like this type of game it's well worthwhile.

Very good game, probably one of the best QSP games out there. Has loads of pictures and characters, and latest updates have given some nice Lesbian characters to pursue as well.

I played version 0.8.5.1 with the Brother Mod, which I would really recommend - I wish the incest angle was expanded in the base game.

    SenshiSan

This is probably the most complete QSP game on this Site. The number and level of content which enhanced through mods are numerous and in-depth. There are so many paths and character dynamics within this that you can go from pure girl to complete slut and all the numerous in-betweens. Also the number of fetishes, sexual content and mods means that there is usually something for someone. 11/10 for the writing, 11/10 gameplay, 11/10 content. I look forward to see how far this game gets!

    Zer0zero

One of my favorite games... yet so damn flawed:

    First the Pros:
    • Amazing - insane - unequaled amount of content in a sandbox.
    • Lots of content creators working together to make the game better.
    • Hot real porn gifs and vids.
    • So much potential.
    Cons:
    • You have to read a wiki to find 9/10ths of the content. Leaving a game to find out how to play the game means the game is VERY flawed. Breadcrumb leading to quests and new triggers shouldn't be missing in a game with so many devs. They could ask for 1-2 people to go over all of the content and make it flow. Then this game would be truly epic.
    • Real porn means you see porn stars you know, hollywood actors you know, people look different in different scenes. If this game could get an artist or 3d modeling team it would probably catapult to the tip top and pull in an income via patreon.
    • Some of the writing is great. Some is not so much. Even the mediocre writing is better than a lot of the competition.

    I played the
    Girl Life [v0.8.5.1] version

Great concept, great story, great game, but I believe this game has the potential to tell an interesting story and still be a life sim but so far falls flat. I wish the real porn was taken out of the game, or at least there was a version without it. It is great with just the text, and I am morally against the concept of real porn. I personally believe that real porn should be taken out completely, but I believe that I can't stop people. I made a version where I cleaned the real porn out of the game other than the outfits. It would be nice if there also was a version with pixel art for the outfits. I also believe that the story should be more fleshed out. There is also a great amount of content. I believe that the story could be fleshed out by adding in more reasons for why things happen, adding in more dialogue that describes your thoughts and having mental changes, I also believe there should be an option to go through a route where you remain pure(or fleshing this out more).

The Sandbox element is great. The video and picture feel raw and realistic. Really adventurous as well. Only thing I think can really be improved is some of the dialogue and maybe a different engine. This QSP engine looks kinda messy as compared to Ren'Py or Unity. All in all, I love this game soo much. I wish there exist more games like this!

This one is really fuckin good. Lots of content, only some really minor bugs, everything looks and works great, Good variety of content. Really impressively well made for a fuck game. As someone from poland i also can relate to a lot of the slavic cringe in this game. Cant recommend this one enough.
