Skybarbie also left an excellent review on this worth reading. I'll second their opinion that the game could use some more options for being independent and confident.
4/5 Stars - Incredibly detailed life simulator that's only held back by the lack of communication regarding where sexual content can be found. You'll know if it's for you pretty quickly.
Girl Life (GL) is hard to review. It neighbors games like Whoremaster, Slavetrainer3, Hentai High School+, and Free Cities, all of which are simulation-heavy training/corruption games. Girl Life is more balanced on the game to porn content ratio, at least once you get a couple hours in, but it requires the same level of attention if you don't want to screw over your playthrough. It also has a lot of the same corruption systems in place even if the person you're corrupting is your own character.
But while those simulation games typically have overt goals, GL is an open world experience. You can play the game simply going to school, doing homework, eating, exercising, showering, working, etc. etc. basically forever. If you want to see real pornographic content then you have to go seek it out, which is both GLs strength and weakness.
Incest is hit-or-miss, but bear with me - you can have a sexual relationship with your sister within a few weeks in-game. You share a room with your sister, she's present and available to speak in the mornings and evenings. The path for her sex content is one of the simplest ones in the game... and yet it's still easy to miss if you don't go looking for it. There are lots of characters, events, and features that are entirely invisible unless you know specifically how to start and complete some requisite chain of actions, and without a good guide - and there really isn't one, even the wiki has issues - you're probably going to get lost.
And yet... the open world is also the best part about it. The most important aspect to a good sex story is the context. Emotional connections and taboos are the most important turn-ons in 99% of cases - think of the millions of videos of dudes banging busty chicks that you just gloss over on porn sites, compared to that one video that speaks to some kink you have or the acting or story is genuinely not that bad. Casting couch, fake taxi, the massive rise in popularity of incest porn, even celebrity sex tapes, all of these dominate attention because they provide some kind of context to what is otherwise indistinguishable from garbage videos of some chick getting painted with nut.
In Girl's Life, the story is whatever you decide it is. Obviously you have limits based on what the game allows, but the star of the show is your character. You can have a fall from grace and turn into a street whore, you can become an academic nudist, you can bang literally every woman that moves in the city, you can extract gallons of jizz from your poor brother, and all of this is happening with a backdrop of one of the most autistically detailed life simulators ever made. The Sims doesn't have shit on Girl's Life. Most open world porn games give you "time stages," and you have to manage an energy bar. Girl's Life has you moving minute by minute and asks if you remembered to wash your makeup off before you went to sleep. The mundanity of the basic is what enhances the appeal of the extraordinary, and provided you are the type that doesn't mind playing day after day after day of Russian life simulator, the sex content is elevated far beyond what you'll find in most games in the genre.
Frankly, I think you'll know if you're the type that will enjoy it based on the first hour of gameplay. It's niche, and IMO it's better for it.
The porn is generic, but passable. There's plenty of content, including alternative starting scenarios. You can set out all kinds of goals for yourself. The menus, if you take the time to learn them, work great. There's a cheat/debug menu that can take some of the tedium out if you want to tune your experience. Girl's Life has had a lot of work put into it, and it really shows. I think it deserves more recognition, but I completely understand why some people can't get into it.
