Ideally, the robbers should be overhauled into a sub-system of itself.
Different types of robbers:
- speedy gonzales that grabs and runs
- ruff rider that uses a moped or a dirt bike to snatch and flee
- muscle brain that uses high strength and tough defence to ignore the puny girly attempts to fight back
- switchblade acrobat that uses a knife to intimidate or get stabby with it if the scare tactics fail
- the rare event shiny gun guy that only comes out at night in dark, secluded places, doesn't take no for an answer and making them angry might worsen the situation
- the ultra-rare midget clowns trio that harrass, distract and pilfer money, underwear and heart, not necessarily in that order
Or just randomize the same current dude with different stat on each encounter. Whatever.
Different ways of handling the situation:
- fight
- fight, but with magic
- forget about the money (and optionally flee for safety)
- yell for those public jendarmes or what they're called that only have tonfas/rubber clubs as weapons to come rescue
- the current failed attempt at a robbery chance with a few more variations in the robber's clumsiness depending on their type
- the rare knee groin contact sports
- be dumb enough to not even realize the robbery happens
- have a gun
The type of robber and what might happen could depend on stats, location, time of day, weather, rng and amount of money previously used during a set/varied period of time.
Still, this sounds like a lot of work and i doubt anyone will have the time or desire for it anytime soon, so just the "whatever" part would be fine to be changed for now. I think.
