I'm big into hypno/mind control. While a few games do a decent work with it, the two that really nail it are Milfs Control and Lust Town. Most games with that have a corruption arc where you slowly get them to do little more and a little more (and most of them have a thing about 'push too far too soon and you break the spell and it's game over')

Similar in SLOG leaving the slave on a sawhorse overnight. Stuff like that could be dangerous if someone were to think it was okay to do in an actual dynamic. I haven't found any games that really do bdsm right. Even if aftercare were just a one button push that said "you spend time relaxing with her after". Less of a power exchange and more of a power grab. Also if consent is not involved it should not be called BDSM. Should at least follow SCC or RACK.

That's exactly it.

It does worry me slightly that someone could play one of those games and decide they want to try BDSM without looking into it properly and hurt someone.

There is a comic, Sunstone, that does BDSM really well and has a part where it shows the danger of leaving someone tied up too long when a woman nearly loses her hands after the blood flow stops.

Consent and trust are 2 of the biggest parts before you even start.

BDSM can be incredibly fun but it's also incredibly dangerous and a lot of what I see in games flies over to the incredibly dangerous part of it.

I know going in depth wouldn't exactly work in most games but like you said, just a little bit even if it's only a sentence just to show you aren't trying to kill the other person which is what would likely happen in some of those scenes. Or severely injure if they survive.

Leaving someone on a sawhorse overnight would cause extreme damage. That's more torture than BDSM. I think that's what winds me up most about it being in games. It's mainly shown as torture.

Hm. One kinda gross thing, I guess, that I sorta like but rarely see is when a dude blows a wad, and it's not magically cleaned off the person that it landed on in between scenes. Games, manga, whatever--it's like the fastest drying semen in the world or something. I guess it's implied that someone wipes down between a blowjob and sex, or whatever. I mean, it's porn--the impracticalities and undesirable parts of real life don't really need to apply.

Still, there were these 2000s-era games by a Japanese group (Soft Circle Courreges--always thought the "soft circle" part was a little redundant but that's part of the name) that not only drew cum sorta like it looks in reality (instead of white glue, paste, or dijon mustard), but they let you control when you cleaned it all up. It's not revolutionary, but it was fun to play around with. I imagine it took a lot of art-time, too, although the game did have something like ten or twelve scenes.

Naturally, this is a pretty specific (and therefore rare) thing to be looking for in porn, so it's more of a nice thing when it happens than something that I expect to find.

It's a tough one. romance is my thing and i've played a lot of games where one girl has been fantastic or a couple of paths have been great but I can't point out a single game that has done it all really well.

The Sono series comes closest.

I wanted to love Katawa Shoujo because some of the girls in that are awesome but I didn't like the MC much and the endings were complete dogshit. They didn't feel like endings, it's like the game finishes halfway through a scene.

Princess Evangile had that issue with half cocked endings but fixed it with the fandisk ... only to introduce more routes for more girls with half done endings that need a fandisk to finish.
