RPGM - Abandoned - Goblin Dungeon [v0.1] [ColdCat]

Terrible game, even for a first version release. The only pro so far is the renders.

1. First off, the game has the title "Tales of Exiled". Found out that that was the title of authors previous (abandoned) game.
2. The content is very less, there is hardly 10 mins of actual gameplay.
3. Lots of bugs and poor game design. Like
   • In the first battle, your hp can drop below 0 but you wont lose.
   • The leveling is bugged. Defeating enemies via random encountered shows you've earned 15 xp but doesn't get added to the player xp. Training at dungeon says gained 10 xp but you get 50 xp.
   • Battles have an attack button, which does one kind of attack always even if you have other powers, and a flee button which will always work. This along with the fact that there is no drop or no xp gained makes you want to flee every random battles (after you've seen the renders once )
   • At level 1 you have 70 hp and once you are level 2 you have around 300 hp.
   • Breeding, gaining population and everything else has no meaning at all.
     

Reviewing the first version. Good start but very limited, I hope this continues for a long time.

Pro:
- Great art
- Good concept. Obviously goblin stuff is a bit derivative but this is a good way of exploring the genre.
- Gets straight to the action. This isn't one of those games where all you get is one nipple in the first version. This delivers some great content on the first release and I hope it continues with many more releases.
- During combat your enemies get stripped naked. Wish there were more phases, that it happened to bosses, that it was more tactically tied into the combat system and that the poses changed as combat progresses. Still good stuff though.

Con:
- Not very much content even for a first release. What's there is good but it's only 15 minutes worth.
- Previous game by this developer was abandoned. Hopefully this one will turn out better.
- Usual RPGM crap. There's the potential for this to turn into grindy bullshit in future

It's probably the best goblin game that I've played.

- It's RPGM but seeing dark border always makes a nice impression. Games on dark border version of RPGM from my experience are the best both visually and gameplay wise.

- I like the setting and believable story. I usually skip dialogs at some point in every RPGM game but right now I'm hooked and don't see a reason to.

- Renders are above average and character design is decent but I'd definitely focus more on variety of body types and difference between races like elf is not just a standard human model with long ears. (would be nice)

THE BIGGEST CONCERN ARE RANDOM ENCOUNTERS

Like we have only one map with enemies right now and it's pretty small but it's already such a pain.

Just imagine BACKTRACKING later. It's inevitable in a RPGM game and just thinking about it with random encounters makes me tired and annoyed.


TLDR: I really like this game and I'm looking forward for the next update.
Besides random encounter issue and some variety(abysmall issue compared to the first one) I can't thing of another thing I didn't like while playing.
Good luck for the developer and I hope he at least considers removing random encounters.
btw. I dont know if we're supposed to fight two fights during an encounter

A fun little game in earlyacces. I played 15 minutes and I finished the story BUT its V0.1 so I see it more like a teaser. I will look forward to the next versions and hope that ColdCats continue this great game.

Some ideas:
-I would love to walk with WASD and use E to choose options
-Fullscreen would be awesome
-A little to much enemys in the forest like every two steps
-Maybe let the pregnancy take more then one day
-The forest is a little bit small

By the way: The tits could be a little bit smaller at the normal enemys but the breading slaves should have big tits and asses like the lore told us: Goblins like it thicc

Hell yeah! Another Goblin Game approach which looks very promising! I really like the kinky setup, bdsm, Harem and breeding setting. I will definitely give it a try.

In this all positive setup by any means some thoughts:

As others said, hopefully the girls do not fall in love with the goblins

Imo the goblins are a bit too small. One goblin cannot give a girl a serious fuck, if the dig is that small. A solution could be more gang bang content or the access to some bulky hobgoblins.

My main concern are the female models right now... I prefer the supermodel type and fake tits are fine on that slim bodies as well for me. Currently the girls look like bodybuilding MILFS in their 40ties on Anabolic steroids with too big fake tits. It is only my view and I totally understand that others are perfectly fine with such a body type. Hopefully there will be different types of girls in future updates. For example the girls in the devs privious game look much better to me.

Anyway keep up your excellent work and I wish you all the best with this game and a great success! We need more monster/goblin/harem/breeding games like this!

good old coldcats... already thought he disappeared which would have been sad since his females (except for the lack of nipples maybe) are some of the hottest and best rendered ones in all adult gaming especially monster porn.

still sad to see that old story got cut and we might never see hot mayor, witch and pirate in hardcore action...

i like the new take which is even more straight forward, harsher/rougher and with less fighting - so far - and winning a fight has its rewards. elf slave stuff was quite heavy content but kinda hot in a very dirty and kinky way.

what i am still sad about - which i hoped to get overhauled in the reboot is the model of the goblin. its still too small and there are already at least two way better goblin models out there. this is sadly a negative point for me.

Pros:
+ coldcats is back
+ very tasteful curvy, highly detailed females
+ setting
+ ugly male
+ still very nive interface
+ good sex renders
+ straight forward

cons:
- mc should be smaller but is way too small and there are already better models out there
- girls have most of the time nearly to no nipples
- no busty mayor, witch and pirate yet
- again mc should be bigger and at best with wrinkles and warts etc - how shell mc be able to fuck a girl and suck on her tits at the same time?

you see there are at least in my opinion not many negative points at all but the size and mc model one weight quite heavy at least for me personally.

I thought this was going to be just ANOTHER goblin game, but this game definitely shows promise.

The renders are superb, the gameplay is well thought out and avoids most of the tropes associated with RPGM (grinding, repetition), and did I mention the characters? They are HOT. The story isn't groundbreaking, but it's fairly well written and sometimes quite humorous. The goblins in this game basically act like impulsive brats with nothing in their minds except to fuck girls. I like it.

As far as the scenes go, the dev is kinky as fuck and basically crammed in as many BDSM and fetish elements as he could. It might not be everyone's favorite (one scene explicitly shows a girl forced to "clean" a goblin's dirty ass with her tongue) but it IS a game that stands out from all the vanilla games out there. Really interested to see how the dev will expand upon the management side of the game too. Right now there isn't much content, but I can see the direction the game is heading in. They aren't enough slave management games these days, especially one with 3d renders.

My only gripe is that the goblins are too damn small. I don't have any issue playing as goblins, but the girls look huge compared to the goblin's miniature bodies.

Great potential. Really AMAZING 3d models. I really hope you succeed where other goblin games have failed. Here's my two cents if you'll take them: Please don't make the girls fall in love or shit like that. They are filthy goblins. Defeat girls, chain them up in the dungeon and just use them away like slaves/objects. I don't see how its 'realistic' to have sex scenes with the girls out of bondage.. In any case all the best you have a potentially awesome game in your hands

There's about 3 minutes of content currently. In my opinion, should have waited until v0.2 or so before uploading - this is kind of pointless and doesn't give any kind of idea of what the game will be like.

As far as what's there, the renders are beautiful, and that's kind of all your can say. Love the idea of a bondage slavery focused game like this. I just hope it's not one of those where all the girls end up loving you and it becomes yet another dopey harem game. I want to be an actual sex slaver! If the future versions are promising, I could see supporting this on patreon. I'll probably change this review in the future to reflect how the game develops.

Edit: So apparently you're able to defeat the bandit chieftain and enslave her? Well I have no idea how, because every time I go up to her it just repeats the same dialogue cutscene that plays when you leave the cave. As far as I can tell you can't interact. No idea if my game is bugged or what.

Short review: Really nice renders. Gameplay is terrible and repetitive. There's about 15 minutes of stuff to do in this version. Would suggest checking back in a few versions.

Very good start of the game with a lot of fetishes and bdsm. Keep it up since not much these days with game theme like this. The models are sexy, the theme was exciting, and as well the story are not common in these days. Keep Up.
