I'm not sure how I feel about this one. It's been a long time coming (especially considering the previous update), and I can see a lot of work went into it, but I feel... well, I ended up just making a couple of lists to get my thoughts across.
The good stuff:
The bad stuff:
A cursory look at the lists suggests it's a bad update, but it's really not. There's nothing truly wrong with it, if you're into this kind of thing. Most of the items on the bad stuff list are petty, and the bugs and limited move set will likely be fixed with the next small update, if trends continue. The gore is part of the creator's vision, and it just wasn't present earlier on. Voice acting is extremely expensive, so I can't imagine it's a priority at this point. The camera thing is surely by design, since the player is primarily Perseus. And I can think of a few reasons for the stat thing. In short, the bad list is largely nitpicking. Overall, I'm somewhat underwhelmed by the update because of the long wait time and limited move set, but I think it turned out well enough in the end.
That's not a good scale because it postulates that ToT is better, and the best GoT can possibly do (with a score of 100) is break exactly even with ToT. So I'm going to ignore it and instead do comparisons of various aspects of both games! In spoilers, because I don't recommend anyone expose themselves to this.
The good stuff:
- It has more hot, creative situations.
- The models and animations are appealing in their usual raunchy way.
- Visuals and performance are pretty outstanding when you consider it's one person working on a porn game. I never expect quality from porn games or individual developers for a variety of reasons, but this game delivers.
- The flow of the new battle is the most mentally stimulating one to navigate, so far. It actually feels very game-y and deliberate, whereas past battles remind me more of a tussle with RNGesus.
The bad stuff:
- A couple of the animations were clearly rushed and look strange (the fart attack and the throw after escaping anal vore)
- Disabling farting in the options doesn't disable it for this fight.
- There are a few visual bugs when the nudity is toggled off.
- Your stats don't matter. Even if you built Perseus up to 1300 mana, he'll only have 650 for this fight.
- The camera focuses very heavily on Perseus, giving minimal screen time to Andromeda.
- Athena's attack selection feels limited. She only has four moves, and for the first six battles I was convinced she only had one special move and the others all branched off from that. For example, you'd never see the trampling one unless you escaped from her anal vore and the throw happened to stun you.
- The voices were great when it was just the Amazon sisters, but they've overstayed their welcome now, since the sisters, D'arc, Andromeda, and Athena have the same VA. Back then, I was under the impression everyone would sound different. Also, the audio quality for the actress could definitely use some touching up to clean up the static, echoing, moving away from the mic, and such.
- There's even more gore.
