Didn't take long.

To be honest I appreciate your work but using others work to get money that I don't like.. maybe it's just me. Because of you I started to play GGGB again.
And it's selfish to get mad/angry/sad/anyway because your work it's shared on maybe the biggest porn games community.. that's what made f95 great compared with other , clean archives and good/fast uploaders.

If you think my goal is to make money, I assume didn't read this .

Even though I put a tremendous amount of work into this mod, you think I'm "using others work to get money". This is what makes me sad and I don't understand why it's selfish to be sad.

It looks like.. or again like I said maybe it's just me.

For example I wouldn't mind to support your work or Osmcuser132's work or D.S.-ama's work or any other modder.. but I would mind if I have to pay for it.
And I would be happy if there was a public version with the unlock option for suporters only.. that's close to fair enough.

I bet it's lot of work and many hours spent, leave me a mail, patreon, coffee shop and I ll support your work or maybe you did and I didn't see it... anyway I ll keep my pledge on your patreon.

You're no longer a "sneaky bastard":D

Right now, all of my work, except for this version and the Unlock feature, is free and public.

I see tiers as a reward to patrons for their support, a way of thanking them. I don't feel comfortable only saying "thank you for the support" while everybody else is getting the exact same thing for free. You said you "wouldn't mind to support your work" ; I don't want patrons who don't mind supporting me, I want patrons who want to support me because it's worth their pledge. I'm not a charity.

I've been about the Patreon since the beginning. If you don't agree or like something, I expect you to contact me either here or on Patreon, publicly or privately, and I'll be more than happy to explain my decision making and make improvements.
There are two reasons why the Unlock feature is a Patron reward:
  1. As I said before, I wanted to be able to thank my patrons. In order to do that, I needed to have something to give them. It felt like the smallest thing I could remove from any of my mods/walkthroughs. Same reasoning for the other rewards.
  2. I don't like this feature and . This mod was always supposed to be purely a gallery: a way to avoid needing a save per scene, not a cheap way to watch the new scenes without playing this great game. This game is more than just the adult scenes.
EDIT: I want to insist on this last point, the unlock feature being added for testing purposes (which I did most of in the end) was always clear. I made this mod to improve the experience of those who play and love this game (which includes me).
The last Public release included a lot of improvements ; improvements I always wanted to do and found the motivation to after creating my Patreon page. I was confident the mod could leave the Beta stage and it didn't bother me for the second to remove the unlock feature.
I bet it's lot of work and many hours spent, leave me a mail, patreon, coffee shop and I ll support your work or maybe you did and I didn't see it... anyway I ll keep my pledge on your patreon.
You bet? I stopped counting after a hundred.
I don't want to get a lot of support from only a few people, I'd rather receive a little bit of support from a lot of people. It's what would be best for my motivation. And the reason why I tried to make the pricing as low as possible.

Hello friends,

Although the words are not coming easily, things need to be said if I want to continue this adventure.

Yesterday, I released the first update since the creation of the Patreon page.
9 minutes later, it had already been , without any mention to the way of supporting it.

As a contributing member of the F95 community for over a year, I expected the patron rewards to be shared at some point ; I even had planned to make more and more of my work public over time. But I never thought it would happen so soon.

At first, I felt angry and I had the juvenile reaction of . Then, I got sad. Finally, as I wrote back to the sharer and tried to understand his motives, I felt rage invading my mind again.
For (and ), I am being "selfish" and "using others work to get money". I don't have the words to describe how it feels to see a hundred plus hours and thousands of lines of codes being considered as using someone else's work. The galleries have been inspired by the work Ndsferrari (the guy who also makes the ) did on KoD ; what he did was the masterpiece that got me into modding.
I saw the update being leaked mere minutes after its release as a premeditated act. I took it as a betrayal. Someone, from the community I had given a lot to, had been following me, waiting for the opportunity to stab me in the back.
I was naive ; I thought my work and my efforts deserved a bit of respect. I was wrong.

On the one hand, the F95 community is full of great people who respect, help and share with each other (I gave because each of them in his own way encouraged me to keep going). On the other, some of its members are of the same impolite, disrespectful, entitled kind one can find all over the internet ( ). I also have a problem with those who and expect everything to be handed to them on a plate.
This is one of the reasons for creating this page and making my own community.

I've been open to and since the very beginning. Because I'd rather have someone tell me the hard truth face to face than go behind my back. Because I want the quality of my projects to be as high as possible and good ideas can come from anywhere and anyone.

I wanted this Patreon page to grow slowly as I released more mods for the supporters and the non-supporters alike.
I was quite surprised when so many of you decided to follow me on this journey. For that, I'm truly thankful.
My plan was to continue this adventure for 3 months before I made a decision concerning the future of my projects and, even though it's gonna harder than I initially thought, I'll stick to it.

I'll share with you what I wanted to do with the TT MOD: The Public version will be released after Christmas for the Supporters of the Future for review. This Public version will be available to everyone in early January when I release the full version to Patrons.
Since "Prime access to all the future mods" is something I promised to the Supporters of the Future, there will be a delay for Supporters of the Present and I have not decided how much yet. I'd like to know what you'd consider to be fair.

Right now, all I fell is sadness and anger with disappointment poured on top of it. I'll take a break from modding for a few days and focus on communication. If you don't agree or like something, I expect you to contact me either on F95 or on Patreon, publicly or privately, and I'll be more than happy to explain my decision making and make improvements.

Thank you for reading.

just stop. bye. Nice work tho. It's understandable if you just don't want to put in the effort for the community.

I swear to god, you would wonder how the huge modding scene for PC games survived and thrived for years and years before patreon...

so this mod is locked behind a pay wall now?
"locked behind a pay wall" well he did put a lot his precious time and effort into it, and the price is 1$ or 3$ per month. That's like 1 less Egg Muffin or a can of coke per month.

Pretty sure many of them ask for donations tho. He DID put the effort into the community. He has to juggle between 3 games and the people who are too dumb to read how to install the mod correctly or asking the same thing over and over again. It get frustrating real fast when someone asked you something you literally just answered because they are too lazy to scroll through the thread (and this thread has less than 10 pages).

i cant change the anal or deepthroat options.. any idea why?
Thank you for the report. I'll fix this mistake in the next update.

In the meanwhile, you can open the gallery and type:
persistent.gallery_xpdeep = 'Always Ask'
persistent.gallery_xpanal = 'Always Ask'

so this mod is locked behind a pay wall now?
There's a public poll about that on Patreon. I'll stand by what the patrons decide. If the votes are tied, the public poll will be the decider. I think it's fair.

Side note: We're not all living in the same country. You should take into account the GDP (PPP) or another way of measuring the purchasing power when you talk about prices. $1 in the US would be around $3 in Argentina and $0.5 in Luxembourg.

I really appreciate your mod and have early on asked for an option to "buy you a coffee", but I have to admit I got sad when I saw you chose this route. If it wasn't for that other user, I would have become a patreon and shared it here.

Mod for yourself or the public, but don't come around now and use the time you put into this project voluntarily as excuse/hostage for the monetisation. I appreciate it's an opportunity for you to make money, but I think you have no ground for your reaction.

Edit: Call me oldschool, but that's just how I feel about mods

I don't care about the money and I don't care what you, @acid_11, think.
Because of , I posted and believed I could receive some help.
If you had read , you'd know I create a page on Ko-fi because of your . You're the one who had the idea and insisted I lost even more time on something useless.
Don't come around now and tell me what you think of my "reaction".

I wouldn't call you oldschool, I'd call you hypocritical.

You make lemonade.
One guy comes to you and tells you he's thirsty and would offer $1 for a glass.
Three guys come to you and tell you they're thirsty but don't want or can't offer anything in exchange.
Can you think of a fair way of deciding how much you'll pour in each of the glasses?

Would it be fair if the non-supporters were the ones making the decision?
