I live on the pain. I breathe it. It's a succulent, fragile thing.

There's a lot to be said about lost nuance and context when you're reading a VN with Google Translate, and while I did finish NTR Homestay and Indiscreet Mother just fine, a lot of the scenes came off as wonky and almost humorous in a very sad way. Let me illustrate my point with an excerpt from a game I didn't quite as enjoy, Netorare Otoko no Ko:
