...Well, games glitchy af since they switched engine...
- loading screens are too slow, skipping or not
- stuck on morning after "love hotel rescue" with nothing to make time go forward (no way to skip time, nobody to talk to to trigger time advancement, etc)

That's a tad frustrating. Just a tad.

I read posts linking a CT file. Thanks for the effort.
But I'm just gonna wait until the dev sorts it out.

Honestly, game's not worth the effort - right now - of reinstalling CT only for that, then re-read a tutorial on how to use this providential file, then try to see if it solves this "softlock" issue that makes the game unplayable at random (and just because only a few get this bug, it means it probably won"t be a priority for the team any time soon so... Meh)

The team has stated in the Discord server that the bugs should be fixed in the next update. (Or at least the softlock should be fixed. If they're willing to go above and beyond then they will fix every bug in this update, but I imagine they'll take the approach of fixing one per update)

The game is looking great and it’s honestly one of my favourites. The choice of changing the engine was… controversial. But I’m sure you guys had a good enough reason to do it.

As for me, I’ve been experiencing some sudden closing while playing the game, especially when clicking directly at the map from the bedroom, and when loading a saved game.

Now I’m stuck at the part where you choose if you want it shaved or not, where, regardless of my choice, the game crashes.

Do you guys have an expected date to be releasing the version with the bugs fixed?

Set delay to 7 frames, choose the option, and wait for like a min, since when u choose, the game froze, dont spam click or even click the game, it will crash, i experienced it

On Windows it does not start. The end of time and noting no error message notingh it just close

If they noticed it, andput it in their to do list, it'll get worked on eventually. That's good news. Remains to be seen as to when.

I truly love this game with passion, but the repetitives crashes every 3 dialogues just discourage me of playing any longer nor even test the new content...

I've been a Patreon supporter for months, but this is not tolerable anymore

I'll support back again once the engine is fixed

After a little bit of testing and to avoid spamming the thread with the same fucking messages (I'm a yapper):

PC:
Windowed mode + Borderless Gaming (9.5.6) - this should help avoid full screen crashes.

Change skip delay to 6/7/8 frames - this helps avoid most skipping crashes.

Disable skip on location change - I find that skipping when a fade-in, fade-out or loading any new area can crash the game. This one might also cause crashes though, so if it doesn't work for you then re-enable it.

Softlocks: I haven't experienced it myself but I have heard people complain about the same game breaking bug from the last update. Time of day skipping being disabled but not being able to progress without it. I quickly threw together a CT that should allow you to change the time of day at will. It might be broken, it might not work to fix the issue, but I didn't care to spend more than three minutes on it. View attachment 4395016

The work probably wouldn't be worth it but if I have motivation I may give it a try.

Saves from previous updates don't work on the current update. You can use the chapter select though.

I tried it and it work. You need to open CE with the file Zesties made, when the game is already loaded, and in game.
Then check the box in the little window under "memory view", and double click the value, and set it to 8. Then change location, and the time will change.

Yes ofc it works I tried it, I just asked him if he can enable the skip time button forcefully.

I quickly made another pointer for it. This new CT allows you to enable/disable the skip function at will.

1 - Locked skipping
0 - Unlock skipping

(Set it to 2 for a very pointless surprise)

Alright, so, I installed cheat engine, went through a brief tutorial- and that's the extent of my progress. Assuming I'm an idiot who can't figure out what to drag and drop or what to rewrite, how do I get the above file to work so I can enable the skip feature? This soft-lock thing is a huge pain in the ass.

Nothing can make up lose of save files, I don't even know how many times we lost saves until this point, honestly I'm done, good luck with the game, this is not a VN game, this is a sandbox game, changing engines, and constantly losing the save compatibility is nonsense AF, especially for a old player who lost saves over and over again it's not worth investing all that time again to come some place you were in.

Just open the CT in the file, attach to Goodbye Eternity and change the value. Reload the area for it to apply.
