The story is super simple and I actually appreciate that. MC returns home to live with his Nana and starts to build relationships with all the women around him (or at least the ones you choose. Some girls are required though). So guide MC through these relationships to build your harem.

MoonBox has created the most diverse cast of girls I think I've ever seen in an AVN (at least one grounded in a "real world"). And I love each and every one of them. They're all a joy to interact with and the relationships MC is building with all of them make the game incredibly engaging.

The game is a perfect example of simple concept executed flawlessly.

So if you're looking for a fun slice of life style harem game then you should absolutely give Grandma's House a try. You won't regret it.

the only downside to this otherwise perfect game is that there are no animations.

About a third of the way through v0.04 I notice that I'm not hard at all with no idea why. The character models are attractive, there's no glaring errors in the writing, and there aren't really any fetishes I hate at this point. The dev is clearly an ass man while I prefer boobs, but that's definitely not the problem. About 20 minutes of clicking later I finally figure out the problem. This "game" is boring as hell. You meet a woman, decide if you find her attractive, and regardless of your choice she's instantly into you. There are no other choices beyond "do you want to have a sex scene with this character you already said is hot" and all the characters interact in the exact same way with the MC regardless of personal circumstance. Your aunts, the married women, the random barista, and the girl who's been crushing on you for basically her whole life all interact exactly the same with the MC. With no choices on how you interact with them the whole thing winds up so one note that I was bored out of my mind.

There are some good things to this VN. MC is not a perverted asshole and thus breaks the standard mold for harem games. This is very much appreciated. There are a wide variety of women to choose from. And while the bulk of story bored me, people who enjoy it will appreciate the quantity. Even rushing through dialogue after I got bored there was easily an hour or more of content. Some people will greatly enjoy their trip to Grandma's House.

This is a fun little title, and I've added it to the list of games on my watchlist. While there is nothing groundbreaking here, the world feels lived-in and I found it easy to follow the chains of events as they generally felt organic and timely to the story.

If the game has a strength, it's in the writing and natural dialogues infused with enough humor to be engaging without bludgeoning the player over the head with it.

For the most part, the girls are interesting and attractive, and the developer has done a good job of creating a wide variety of girls to enjoy besides the titular "Nana."

While a competent effort, this feels like a 3.75 star project in its current state, but rounding up to 4 stars is definitely more fair than rounding down to 3. What holds this title back from being a top shelf title in my opinion is the frequent egregious clipping in the art (Nana's robe and the massage table scene leap to mind) as well as the occasional overt porn logic that leads to some disappointingly unearned sexual encounters.

I'm familiar with the strategy of letting the MC have some side action relatively easily while the main love interests take more effort, but it's difficult to shift from a narrative that takes itself relatively seriously for the first hour to a masseuse all but fucking the MC within 30 seconds of meeting him for the first time without even the pretense of it being a service offering of the parlor.

The addition of sound and maybe a little occasional music would also help push this project over the top.

Those few issues aside, the greatest compliment I can give a game is to say that I'll continue playing it and sponsoring it's creation. I will certainly keep playing, and I'm half-a-star from pledging to support the creator, because it's clear he cares about producing something enjoyable and (strangely) relatable.

I will watch this one with great interest.

**EDIT** I will confess to having written the original view before I had completed all of the content, and I'm revising my thoughts a bit. This is a bit over a 4 star game. It does improve markedly as Moonbox gains confidence in the story and art.

The strengths remain the same: The MC is likeable and even if the story does descend into porn logic frequently, it's no more egregious about it than many better-rated titles out there. I will be sponsoring this dev after the first of the month.

Personally it's refreshing your not swarmed by barely legal LIs or Lolis everywhere. Yes there a small handful here(Barely Legal, not loli). But this game focus on the Fine Wine of 30s-60s woman.

All personalities are great. With a positive attitude and wholesome family feel to it. But it also provides the kinks your looking for, without forcing them on you.

So many times I'm like look another damn footjob or titjob(not personal favorites of mine) Without the option for something else. Here they try to make sure you have options. Be it as simple as that or as more higher up like BDSM or Watersports.

Best part of all this, they are active with the community and as well do not cater to folks trying force their own will onto the creators story.

Honestly, this game is a gem. I won't lie, I'm not usually into the uber thicc mega mommy milkers and such, but that doesn't mean they're not attractive. They're just generally not my type. But that isn't to say that's all there is in this VN. All the women and girls have absolutely precious personalities, and they all stand alone next to one another. The writing is great, and I get a TON of wholesome vibes from the game. It's kind of a more... raunchy My New Family. Not saying they have any similarities in story, I just mean the wholesomeness of it all. With a diverse cast of characters. I don't normally feel like I need to go and do reviews like these, but this VN has just left me wanting more. Honestly, I can't wait for the next update.

Really enjoying this one. Setup is pretty typical harem fare, which is fine. The thing I like is the focus more on older ladies, and bigger girls. When a game presents multiple cougars that are in the thicc/curvy category, that's pretty much a solid win for me. Add to that, that the MC isn't a raging, incel douchebag, and is actually just NICE to people, it's even more enjoyable. Seriously devs, the incel douchebag MC, just...don't...just don't.

But this game doesn't have that issue! It's not really a "game" so much as a visual novel to be honest. There is no "gameplay". The only options you get are "Do you want to sexually pursue this woman? Yes/No" And then the content is gated off based on if you want to play with that particular model or not. And I'm fine with that! I also enjoy the inclusion of other ethnicities for the ladies. While this isn't unique, I have noticed that a lot of AVN's will have a token non-white lady in the lineup, but they will have almost no actual screentime in the game. This one, actually gives them a decent amount of content. Priya and her content in particular is enjoyable for me, especially with the most recent update.

So, yeah! Nice game! It isn't an ordeal to play the MC, as he isn't so antithetical to basic human decency that it pulls me out of the story, and the models are nice, and the sex scenes are fun. I especially like the focus on the MC having fun actually pleasuring the ladies. Which, for my personal experience, was always more of a turn on. Getting the ladies hot and bothered is just...yes. *thumbs up*

Ok so after multiple updates and further expansion of the game, I have more to say. FIrst, still loving this game, a LOT. It's really damn good, and I eagerly await updates. When I see the thumbnail pop up, I have a moment of pure glee. Nothing about the overall theme of the game is different, it's still a standard harem game, but there are some traits to this one that I feel are very unique, and need to be pointed out, and praised, because it really does tap into a few fun kinks that I don't see tapped into much, or at least it's beginning to dip into those kinks at least.

First off, voyeurism/exhibitionism. I dunno, I think a lot of devs shy away from this pairing, for fear of people losing their shit and screaming "urmagurd NTR cuckness! gross! uninstall!!" and it's just so far from the reality. There is a scene near the end of the most recent update, as of 6-27-2022, that encapsulates why letting someone watch the fun times, can be hot as hell. It's not someone being denied pleasure, they are an integral part to the entire sexual encounter. Having them watch, increases the pleasure for the other 2 members, and it's clearly building to including the other in for later fun times. But for now, they're just happy to watch, and get themselves off. And I personally really appreciate that. I've always enjoyed having ladies pleasure themselves for me, or vice versa, it's a really fantastic bit of foreplay, leading to some hot sexy times. But AVN's avoid it like the plague usually, and that's a shame, because it's damn fun, and erotic as hell. But this game, is more than happy to include that. And it's still focused on female centric pleasuring, which again, a HUGE plus for me. I enjoy my own orgasms sure, but I've always had more fun with partners when I'm spending my time/energy getting them off. Not as a sub mind you, but as the dominant one, controlling their pleasure, and having fun playing their body like an instrument, with the symphony being that glorious series of moans and screams, leading to the climax. It's so satisfying to do that. To see them laying there, quivering and giggly after you made their toes curl, and then round 2 is me having my own fun. Which is usually even more fun because now they are REALLY revved up. And this game captures that sensation wonderfully. I dunno, I feel I'm rambling but, it really is a nice touch, that I don't see in too many of these AVN's. The amount of focus on the MC pleasuring his stable of lovers is a chef's kiss kind of thing, and the focus on thicc milfs/cougars, especially of varied ethnicities is always a huge plus. He's not an asshole, he's caring and gentle, and then rough and dominant when he needs to be. But it's not in the tone of someone venting some unresolved issues, like a lot of games, it's just a guy who knows the lady he's with likes it a bit more rough, so he provides, knowing the end result will be very worth it.

Seriously, check this game out.

A LOT of new characters keep popping up every update , which is also a good thing , but it stalls the progress with the main girls you already know.
Not a lot of freedom in the game , you don't have many choices on what your character does other than if you are interested in the new girl or not.
As a foot guy it is kind of annoying that watersports is a fetish before some feet action hehe. Reading the dialogue will be a lot more fun if the repetitiveness is removed - every morning is basically the same ( Grandma cooks you breakfast and you joke around..)

side note with a lil story spoiler i need to mention:

A little hard to believe that a professional masseuse , who's seen every body type and cock in town will let you bang her virgin pus , but your horny drunk aunt , who hasn't been touched in ages and is into you will not let you eat her out at least.

Pros:
The story is not dumb or unbelievable , you can actually feel making most of the choices that MC makes.
The renders, even if not perfect are not those square asses that make me laugh every time.
There's variety in the girls - both personality and character models.
Loving the GILF and BBW stuff , as well as Watersports. Games with a lot of fetishes are always welcome - and you can skip them if you don't like some of them , but it is the best when you have them.

IN summary if the game has more feet stuff (personal fetish) and more freedom of choices it could easily be 4 stars. If the renders also improve a lot in quality it could hit 5 stars. Not a bad game - worth your time if you're into older women and are sick of the same body type every other dev makes.

I'll be honest, I'm not normally one for GILF's and chubby girls, but this game is a wonderful change of pace. I'd say it's heavily story-focused, but that just makes the interractions with the girls that much more satisfying. While this may change in the future, there aren't many difficult obstacles you have to power through, but that's okay. This game's MC isn't testosterone filled like so many of the others, but that works great with the story. He's a nice guy who cares about others, and is willing to go out of his way to help them when they're in trouble.

While there aren't (too) many sex scenes right now (Don't worry. The ones that are implemented are pretty great), I think this game is worth a download as of v0.04 simply because of the character interractions and the teasing that MoonBox likes to place everywhere for nearly every single girl in the game.

Nice, uncomplicated VN. Where it excels is in the multiple personalities and body types. Each person is pretty distinct from the others and though it's pretty nascent in development, there's a lot of story here.

I would not call the storyline vanilla, but it's easy. Like there's no extreme trauma or hardships to deal with. The MC is a good guy and meets different women and has sex with them on occasion. Simple, but that's not a detriment to the story. The characters are engaging and the scenarios feel earned and worthwhile. The women are distinct and you can see where their personalities would mesh and conflict.

The sex scenes are decent and well described. There's a small amount domination as from the MC that comes out in spurts that keeps it from being to generic, though I do wish there was a bit more of it.

I'm excited to see where the story continues and how these women begin to interact with each other.

Edit: Improving to 5 stars after a solid year of continued growth of the story and new and unique body types for the girls.

OK, remember its only ep4... But there are a lot of beautiful women who cycle through the story of Grandma's house, you can't get them all yet but its still only ep4 . I' m loving the game so far. Emphasis on Mature, and BBW body types which I'm a fan of. It's easy enough finding games that feature mature women, but it may be a bit tougher finding matures that actually somewhat look their age. I think Moonbox has come pretty close. With that said slimmer body types are definitely represented so there's something for a little bit of everybody. I find the dialogue to be good and funny, not just fodder before the sex scenes.

Love how spontaneous the game is, the game has a lot of girls/encounters and most importantly you will actually choose rather than just boink everything, well unless your tastes are very diverse.

My favorite has to be the Karen bathroom scene just because it has a dash of humor, a dash of innovation since I never saw that set up, a dash of BDSM/male domination and the girl has humongous cheeks. It's a shame the game isn't animated, but it's not advertised as such, so I won't be deducting a star, that's my fault for not paying attention and I'm kinda glad I did zone out since I found a pretty good game.

This game fixes a BIG issue people have with this game because there's a a divide in the fandom between people that want sex scenes faster and others want them later, don't want anything rushed then say "no" to the promiscuous looking/sounding girls and vice versa if you want instant gratification. But even when you do get fast sex, it's still not too fast, so I would recommend giving the thirsty girls what they want.

I personally, probably said "no" to like 3 girls, but I still said "yes" to like 10+ girls. The game has a lot of content for an 0.3, I already played a good 4-5 hours and I'm still not done with the game since this is the first time I played the game.

Sophie, Elaine, the cosplay girl...etc. are all great new girls (at least they're for me since I haven't played since 0.3), the scenes are still hot and I still am wishing this was animated, but I guess it's too late now since the surprise for most of the scenes will be gone and one of the biggest turn ons for me is the surprise element. My favorite has to be thicc Indian girl Priya though.

Wow, this was... surprisingly good.

I'll be honest, I picked this up out of equal parts boredom and curiosity. The renders look great and it intrigued me that the main differentiating factor is that the story revolves around the grandmother rather than the mother or sister as tends to be the case in these games.

GILF stuff tends to be very hit or miss due to massive levels of subjectivity around the "ILF" part of the classification, and has not really been a genre that has drawn my attention in the past.

That said, I can unequivocally state that Grandmother's House not only sticks the landing but goes back for another round and nails that too.

As anyone can see, the renders are gorgeous, and their quality is well matched by the characterization and writing. While there is definitely a not insignificant level of "porn logic" causing every woman you meet to be attractive and attracted to the main character, there is enough going on in the story and enough depth to the characters that it's relatively easy to suspend your disbelief.

On top of all this, I have to give special praise to the diversity of characters, particularly fuckable characters, in this story. The spectrum isn't full, of course, but there is solid variety in appearance, history, relationship, and personality on display with all the women you meet. Sure, not everyone will be into all the characters, but I'd bet that everyone could find at least one character they will be quite attracted to, a statement that's rather rare given how frequently games tend to focus around one general appearance/characterization with minor differences.

At time of writing this game still is quite early in development, featuring only a handful of full sex scenes (and plenty of blowjobs, handjobs, etc.) which is normally a signal for me to ignore the game until it is more complete since the early stages tend to be light on content or only really provide the good stuff via dream sequences and the like, my personal pet peeve. I can happily say that is not the case here. While full sex scenes re not the majority of the content, those that are there are great and the foreplay-centric scenes are actually interesting and rather hot instead of the standard scenes that seem to be included just because that's what's expected/demanded. This is further enhanced by the fact that the relationships with most of the main characters have not even progressed to a sexual stage yet, leaving plenty of great content to come and yet somehow not feeling like we're lacking or missing out in the meantime.

I highly recommend playing this game when you have the chance and I cannot wait for more!

My first review on here so I'll try my best. The game is fun and light hearted wwith character models that mimic realistic women. As mentioned by others, the sex with the core family group hasn't really happened yet but the interactions with them are pure gold. So far, every update has contained at least one sex scene if you pursue every woman. If you don't, well I feel you're missing out. Are the renders perfect? No but they're really damn good. Are there grammar mistakes? Sure but I can't knock any points for them as they are few and far between. If you haven't played this, give it a try.

Grandma's House is the perfect game if you are looking to simply be happy and be surrounded by love and affection. The characters spend so much time being emotionally intimate with each other with constant hugs, kisses and gentle touches that when physically intimate scenes come along it's all the more rewarding.

While not every girl on offer might be to everyone's preference, outside of the core group all others are optional and as of this review (0.03) I've found every sexual encounter to be rewarding, especially now with Aiko's new model.

It's a slow burn story but personally that is a preference to me, it makes things more invested than simply jumping from one bed to the next. There is just enough light sprinkling of humor without the Dev trying to beat you over the head with attempts at it and every main character has some depth to them with their own insecurities and style of sensibilities.

As to the characters themselves Allison, Liz, Jamila and Kat from the core group are all wonderful and I have no doubt when Amy makes her appearance that she will be too. While quite varied, each is beautiful (and hot) in their own right and an absolute delight to be around, they clearly love the MC and it shows in all their interactions.
The variety on offer from side characters is quite extensive and I'm sure most people would be able to find somebody who takes their interest.

The renders are quite well done with the dev still making improvements each patch and I have no doubt he'll continue in this vein and while it's a shame there are no animations what's on offer is still worth it.

Honestly one of my favorite games on here at the moment despite the early stage of it's release as it offers affection on a level that so few others here do.
So if you are ever looking for something to make you smile and brighten up your day then make sure to stop on by Grandma's House.

I can only echo what other 5 stars reviews have said.
Excellent story, compelling characters.
A wide variety of ladies to satisfy any preference.
I'm excited to see how some of those *Planned Tags* pan out.
Only critique would be the enviornments; but I'm viewing this VN for the ladies, not the architecture.
