VN - Ren'Py - Grandma's House [Part 5 v0.73] [Moonbox]

I went along with the premise through most of the current versions, but the story is just too stupid to want to follow any more.

Great models though, but the rest is just pointless. A boring slog through endless fangirls of all sizes and colours. No sexual tension whatever.

And why on earth make "nanna" the main characer of the story that the mc rotates around? The description even goes out of it's way to state "no sex with nanna yet!" - as if that's a thing of some importance?

Edit for part 3: some scenes are starting to feel repetitive, we gotta be at 10x pussy/anal sex scenes for some of these girls already at this point, but I am not counting, I hope they get control over the repetitiveness and focus on making scenes for the older relationships when they matter only.

my least favorite girl is shizuka, anything i say about that relationship is probably not nice at all, her cuteness is super childish, she is super childish, and she is a little bit stupid, she really needs a huge improvement in her personality, because the entire relationship feels illegal.
I finished this game like a month or two ago, and forgot to review it.
Its a really good game, it does most things right, Great relation build up with the girls, its not each girl you meet you fuck immediately like some of these idiot writers.
The Girls are varied and hot, its an extravagant Harem for the ages.
The guys logic behind being a polygamist, is stupid as fuck, but can we find any other reason that would sound better, than just i am an asshole who wants to fuck all women i set my eyes on?!
The Characters we got Grandma infatuation simmering forever, it will taste so sweet when we finally tap that ass or pussy! pussy is good too!
The build up for the aunt, and katy was also great.
Or the build up for the Arabian woman which is one of my favorites, an Arab Milf with a body of a goddess and she can lactate ? Heck yeah, i bet she will turn out to be a squirter too, but in the first part we didn't get to fuck her sadly.
my only dislike, was that sometimes the dialogues went on forever, maybe they could have been a little shorter, but overall, if u can handle them, they only serve make deeper bonds with these beauties.

While the graphics are good in game and the animations are ok,not great not terrible.

The story tho is kinda trash with boring huge conversations without any meaning and the Dev has clearly a problem with hugs.MC half the game just hugs the numerous girls around him.Maybe hugs are Dev's fetish who knows..

Still i recomend the game but dont except a mind blowing story or A class animations.

Has a good variety of content and girls. Story isn't great and mostly just revolves around MC saying hi to a girl, she's immediately trying to fuck, then says she's a virgin, scene, and repeat. The exception to that cycle are the girls in the family which is basically the same with extra steps.

Love the healthy honest polyamory in this game and many of the character's personalities. The dialog is sweet and loving; an utopia that we wish we all could have. There are many story lines waiting for more in v0.27 and I look forward to future updates!

Game is fun, the renders are very hot and the 0.16 version is pretty long and has a lot of content, my only problem with the game has to do with the pacing, which while being realistic and an overall positive, means the recent updates feel kind of shallow. It's still an amazing game, and you should download it, but maybe give it a few updates before you check up on it again.

A great example how not to make a porn game.

The sex scenes are all boring no animations very bad.
The story is non existent it´s go to a stranger fuck her and then go home to ugly grandma main love interest she looks so ugly.
The main character has no personality and is one of the worst looking ones, it feels like a parody.
The dialogue is boring.
And the worst thing is that every character wants to fuck with the MC in seconds no builup nothing why?

There is no reason to play this.

Well, what about this fest of random, mindless sex? Just adding dozens of women, just for a few boring, monotonous, repetitive sex scenes?
Story: Nothing to draw attention to, just a few dialogues to separate one scene from the next. Totally cliché, and nothing we haven't seen in hundreds of other games.
Models: Many of them, seen in several other games, changing the appearance a little, which left them infinitely inferior to those seen in other games.
Renderings: Decent, but nothing we haven't seen in so many other games.
Animations: Non-existent, it's like reading a magazine. If had, maybe I'd give it two stars.
Sexual content: If you're one of those people who's just looking for content for a quick jerk off, not caring about the rest, this game is for you. But if you're looking for something deeper, forget it. Just look at the absurd and unnecessary amount of female characters, there's no way to make a good story out of this pussy festival.

Ridiculous wholesome debauchery would be my short and sweet review.

To elaborate on that I feel what Grandma's House does best is the interactions and relationships between the different characters. And there are a whole bunch of them. By sheer amount there will likely be a character or two that you will vibe with. This is also what I feel is the biggest flaw and could be the downfall of this game. Simply too many characters. If you aren't one of the players that likes them all you could find yourself in a situation where you are waiting multiple updates in a row before seeing any new content for your favorite character. It is essentially in the devs hands to say who the main love interests are and who are simply side characters. And if your personal favorite is relegated to a side character well tough break you'll just have to get over it. This also works against the previously mentioned strength of the well written character interactions and relationships because we are constantly moving from character to character to try to get them all enough screentime to appease everyone and the depth of each relationship suffers or feels rushed.

The same can be said about the list of fetishes offered in this game, it is truly expansive and has something for everyone in the same vein as the list of characters. The same argument can be made however that it is too expansive and if you aren't into all the fetishes provided you may be waiting a while before an update has something to offer to you.

All in all I do still like the game and I will continue to check out every new update but just over the course of writing the review I found myself contemplating how much "better" the game could of been if the scope of the game was narrowed and more focused. Of couse that is very subjective and I can't hold that against the game. Also I'm not naive I know why this was done, cast a wider net to catch more fish, or supporters who give you money in this case.

Alghough I had my fun with some girls and would have loved to capitalize on those good moments, and give this game a really good review, I can't because of one main flaw: this game suffers from the "every girl is there only to be fucked by the MC and every genre of girl will appear".

That is making the game a repetitive experience to play.
And it's too bad because I liked very much some interactions we had with some girls:
- aunts and cousin, for starters
- the fiery bartender and her mother who have red hair.
- a bit of the other petite redhaired girl

So if you are in fo a "pure porn game" you may find some girls which appeal to you; it should since it covers plenty of girls diversity.

But if you would also have some kind of story, even a simple and already too used one... expect nothing.

Also, the fact that the game is in two parts is not a good point, but it's just a technical matter as long as you install both on your computer.

Oh man this game is amazing. The insane situations and encounters just make me laugh, but the actual content is pretty good!

The characters are fairly unique, the bodies are similar but different enough that it doesn't feel copy/pasted and there's a wild range of characters. It's a classic case of "Superhero Main Character out to solve every problem and get rewarded with sex!" but the problems are solved somewhat reasonably.


The dialogue is honestly okay, it's a porn game what do you expect?

Overall I'd say it's a 4/5, whether you want to take it seriously or not is up to you. It will be a good experience either way.

Look, I do understand people who like these sort of games. They want quick experiences and the "what you see is what you get type of deal". That's fine.

However, its due to that exact fact why so many devs just do games like this one that the current market of AVNs its mediocre at the best of times. What I mean is, if you don't get tired of pressing the skip button to the good stuff you're not going to have a good time because its overall that basic terrible design of just giving you lewds after a bunch of paragraphs that don't really mean anything. You don't have to be original to put stuff like this out.

There's a story somewhere, I am sure... but I got bored of it within the first 20 minutes of reading. Then I decided to skip the story and see how fleshed out the mechanics were. And surprise, surprise... press right to bang, press left if you don't care. Its beyond my comprehension how people like to play stuff like this. Again, it's okay to like this but... here just for the faps? Any porno movie would do the trick faster and better, and you wouldn't have to sit through thousands of worthless paragraphs with nothing interesting to read.

This game never ends and story progression has basically come to a complete halt over the last handful of updates.

If all you want is a harem fuckfest this delivers, except when it comes to the Grandma that this game is supposed to revolve around. Shame too because it's starts off pretty promising.

If all you care about is scenes and don't care with who, basically every update delivers something so there's that.

Great game! It's not the deepest AVN by any means but the game doesn't take itself so seriously and I still find myself interested in what happens next. It also has something for everyone, kink-wise. Give it a go, I don't think you'll regret it!

Grandma's House is your stock standard harem romp that has you playing the Gary Stu who has free reign to woo every women you come across, as they're all conveniently never in happy relationships and are a ok with sharing you with dozens of other women.

The game is perfectly willing to eschew realism to serve the ultimate male fantasy to the utmost degree, and includes an MC that is already a player at heart. Sex scenes come frequently and a variety of your usual kinks are explored (watersports, lactation, spanking, dom/sub, CNC, netori). However, there is no sound or animation.

There are some characters (the grandma among others) that have a slower progression while many others jump your bones at the first meeting, I think this is usually a good idea to keep the pace of scenes consistent but this game suffers from character bloat. There are 39 different characters with sexual content either in the game or planned (though 2 are twins and are always together so effectively 38) and of those I'd say 4-5 of them are on the "slow burn" route. The issue is that most of your time is split between this huge catalog of characters who are all willing to put out with no build up so if you are into slow burn content most of it won't appeal to you. But these 4-5 slow burn characters also hog most of the non sexual scenes where they are building their relation with the MC so if you are only into quick sex then a lot of your time will be wasted.

That being said I do appreciate the focus on physical intimacy between the MC and the various women in non sexual sense. I think that is just as much a part of many men's fantasies which is often neglected. I also do like most of the characters and the writing even if there are too many side characters. The game has a wealth of content and definitly fits within the "comfort food" category of games in this genre, the only choices you make are what characters and fetishes you want to engage with (the intro with the girl on the plane is the only exception).

Edit: Recent updates seem to be focusing on bringing the slow burn characters up to speed which I really appreciate. I'm giving it an extra star for that as these more recent updates have been much more enjoyable. Hopefully the more one dimensional characters can sit on the back burner, only appearing during group scenes as there isn't any progression to be had in those relationships.

Probably one of the best Harem VNs I played!

MoonBox really provides constantly updates and communicates clearly, when things take little longer, looking forward what future brings.

From two stars to one. I don't know how far into P2 I am, but I quit. After railing the black amazon I just can't with this shit. It's the same problem every long-running harem game has: the more bimbos you add, the less you care about each one and the less "glue" there is to hold the scenes together. It's a rush to fuck the next and any semblance of giving a shit has been tossed out. I only cared about Aunt Amy after the first couple hours but I have to keep dealing with the annoying and titular Grandma every morning ("Breakfast," "so cute!" "morning hug!" "bacon mmmm" etc etc etc etc etc etc e....t...........c) and she's not worth it.

The only way this game could be solved is twofold. One, make the women look unique from the neck down, and not just with body dimensions. How about some with fat labia? What about some of the women with dark nipples, or pepperoni nipples, or oblong ones? Birth marks? Scars? Stretch marks? Second, make it open world and let me pick who I want to bang. I don't care about the dwarf granny, the housekeepers, the amazons, the grandma........the lawyer, the neighbor.........the cucks....the other grandma...........like literally just let me do the aunts and I'm good, maybe the cousin too.

Fuck this game, I'm out.

PS. The two objectively amazing things GH does correct are that NO ONE HAS PUBES, and about 85% of the anal content is totally optional. Nice.


Sadly this is a four star game that's just gone on too damn long; the more updates it gets, the worse it is.

1. Zero character development of any kind

MC travels to Paris for two days, stays for like eight; Paris suddenly has an oceanside beach with taxi service?; for literally no reason at all, another side character is in Paris and it's not explained in the slightest; MC and Aunt get arrested then just leave?...that's not how the law works my dude
6. The dialogue is stale and boring, because every day progresses the same: "Good morning Nana, love you to bits here's how much I love you" "Oh wow son I love you too this is how much I love you!" [Whichever bimbo is there that day]: "I love you too! See how loving this family is! Wow we love each other!" "Do you want an omelette son?" "Wow thanks Nana it's the best you're so good at these omelettes I love you so much!" [Bimbo]: "Damn [mom/Allison/grandma/whatever] these omelettes are incredible it's almost like I haven't had one every single morning! I love you!" "Haha remember how MC's dick was out this morning?" Annnnd it's another harem game with your host, the man with a conveniently-absent immediate family whose main superpower seems to be attracting cookie-cutter women with zero real life experience and personalities as deep as a Skyrim fetch quest.

I believe the attraction is pheromone based (although this is currently unconfirmed) as every character in the game immediately falls for the MC and plays olympic-level mental gymnastics as to why it's okay that she should stunt her personal ambitions to merely being an increasingly-irrelevant part of his harem.

4* still because it's a porn game and I try not to judge it too harshly based on the story. Not every game needs a house fire forcing me to choose which harem member gets the happy ending. Scene dialogue and renders are quality, as well.

[v0.24] I'll be honest. Didn't really pay attention to the story when I played this. Basically, your parents and sister die and your grandmother takes you in to raise you. You grow up with her friends and daughters (your Aunts). Move back in with her and start seducing every woman you see, including your whole extended family. Lots of incest fetish, MC's dick is ridiculous, and there are lots of weird fetishes and non-standard body types for the girls. The variety is great, all kinks are optional, and each sex scene feels substantial as there are multiple positions, animations, and dirty talk sections for each. The story is probably entertaining enough, but the smut content and fetishes makes this game great just on their own. Also, Grandma is Best Girl!!

Love this game, was hoping to see a bit more fun with the family, perhaps a little bun in the oven, but it is really a nice story, just slowed down a bit, maybe things will get spiced up soon. The content has been really well mixed, but as I said before, a bit more family sport would be great.
